I’ve been riding with this board for three years on my local mountain. It’s just as good as any Arbor. Never had any issues.. Works great! Sometimes the Velcro comes off and the board missiles down the mountain, though.
Classic David vid. Just about died when the board popped off and you’ve got the bindings still on. Can’t believe you both pulled off those tricks - full credit that’s some balls and sick riding.
I definately had a board like this. It was like 1994. My parents weren't sure if i was serious so they didn't want to put the money into a legit board. It was better than what i had been doing before, just standing on a sled.
@BoardArchive I got one after that was pure fiberglass with edges but they only went up the sides instead of all the way around. The bindings were connected to these metal pieces that were visible from the bottom of the board. I have no idea where they found the thing but it kept me out in the back yard trying to ride for another season or so. Then I got this decent board from dicks sporting goods. Not great but good enough to take to a resort.
Hell yeah. I had a Black Snow in the early 90's I think. Plastic. No edges. Huge bolt holes in the base. Haha that was a frustrating thing to learn on.
I mother bought from K-mart plastic mogul monster with super soft low backs and slide in heal straps. Yeah I didn't even know what a mogul was when I started snowboarding. Then I moved up to the "pro" model with actual metal edges that was as stiff as a piece of cheese to take my my local resort. Where I discovered what a mogul field was and which explains my hatred for them now. Good note got my first kiss that day froma skier chick!
I was a pro snowboard 25 years ago yes that's a long time and this video had me rolling on my couch laughing so hilarious thank you for putting this much time and effort into aboard that costs well $15
I actually bought a plastic snowboard from target back in 1988 and it had grooves on the bottom with some type of bindings that had back heel support. It actually worked ok on local parks/hills until I ended up getting a Craig Kelly Burton two years later.
One of my friends found these in the woods before we started snowboarding. I only had the plastic one and was so jealous. We would rip on them all day for that whole winter
Awesome vid as always TJ, you made me take up snowboarding @ 50yrs young. That David Jonovich dude's energy made me feel im 49yrs all over again... Yi haaa.....Burrr...🙂
I had one of those when I was a kid, it had the straps for your feet and a rope at the front, and I would call it a standing sled before a snowboard, but it insanely fun nevertheless. We would build a runway into a kicker and I remember several days we could've spent sessioning the kicker with real snowboards, or even lapping this steep neighborhood line that took us through several rich 2nd home owner yards, but we would just session this thing until our equipment was soaked to the bone instead.
Thought that was Silverthorne Target at first but then I remember there in no Target in Silverthorne.......What are you using for camera set while riding? If you have time please send me a link. I'm sure you're getting busier after this week...Thanks for all the hardwork
At least it has 'bindings'. I've used my Burton throwback on a hill near where I live as well (mountains are non existent here), which is also just plywood. Had a blast, but nothing like normal snowboarding.
Just got a board from the thrift store for $30. haven’t tried it so don’t know if it’s good and it’s my first board. It’s not perfect but I think it works for just beginning. I couldn’t find out the brand or anything it says something like Swing and Factory Boarding. It looks like a directional twin with normal camber
Crazy idea but could you treat the plastic to make it springier? Not all types will do it but you could put it in a bag, steam the bag, seal it, and then layer it in a cheap epoxy. I mean literally the most budget thing ever. You’re basically paying for the shape and bindings mounts. Assume you want a project.
I say this board is for when you break your snowboard 2 days before (season ends) / (you go home) so you have something for the last day that just have to survive that day
i love how hyped you are the entire video and then end it with do not buy this snowboard lol made me actually laugh. would like to see yall make a snowboard
My first snowboard was a "black snow" and it was impossible to learn how to ride. I thought it was just me but when I received my first Burton, I realized why I couldn't figure it out. My first real board was the Burton Asym Air

This looks like a good board to practice tricks on at home on the carpet.
actually could be fun for that, but i'd rather just use a skate deck

true! I had that progression as well. my first one was plastic though
from walmart lol

You were a pro *snowboard* or snowboarder? Lol
All you had to do 25 years ago to be pro was doing method grabs, nine year olds today do double 1080's 😂
Fair play to you boys. Having some real fun. Love this video.
You two do make great stuff together!
always a good time when David is around
Honestly, for $15, don’t think you can get any better. I’m damn impressed.
Are those the NEW Burton STEP OFF bindings? :O
😂
Burton clew collab😂

That sounds dope! The one I got in the late 90's was way more janky hahah. very soft plastic with small straps for bindings, no highback support
Just what I needed to start my day 😂
The "Official " review at the end was a nice touch
Thanks
hahah thanks man I'm glad you liked it
The laughs are priceless 😂
You need to do more of these
Silverthorne target. The most unique target I’ve ever been to! Love it
Thanks for the honest review, I was almost on my way to buy it after watching those sick park laps you just did!
Best snowboard review on RUclips 😂❤️🔥
I haven’t saw a board get t-bolts since the 90s
less than ideal
I’m so sure that this was just an excuse to f around on the slopes for a day 😂
T.J. you are by far my favorite RUclips snowboarder! Glad to see you are putting out more videos. Let's Go!!!
thank you! this season is going to be a good one!
That is the prettiest Target I have ever seen
That was an EPIC review! The Board Review at the end had me rolling, how you kept a straight face, was hilarious!! 😂
One of my friends found these in the woods before we started snowboarding. I only had the plastic one and was so jealous. We would rip on them all day for that whole winter
Review at the end was HILARIOUS ahahaha

amazing!! love to hear you're back out in the mountains my friend
been watching reviews forever but this just made me subscribe. genuinely hilarious
hahaha thank you homie!

Legitimately one of the funnest videos I’ve ever watched, kudos 🥳
hahah stoked to hear that, thanks man
You are the goat for this video ! This was a masterpiece
I'm glad you liked it!
I swear you are awesome. These are pure gold. Thank you.
This is definitely an inner child video. I love it
Glad you enjoyed it!
Holy shit I did not expect David. Best collaboration of 2023 for sure!
I absolutely LOVED this video. Had me laughing and smiling the whole time. More stuff like this! I love all your videos.
TJ, but what size were you riding? What was your stance width and angles? We need the tech details for this beast!
there's a pretty strong eco friendly story with this one
something about watching TJ sprint after the board is just hilarious
😂
DAVID WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, Good too see yall still hangout omg!
this is the best snowboard review on youtube. sportstuff should sponsor you guys. 10/10 I would buy this board 🤣
Thought that was Silverthorne Target at first but then I remember there in no Target in Silverthorne.......What are you using for camera set while riding? If you have time please send me a link. I'm sure you're getting busier after this week...Thanks for all the hardwork
Sending a barrel roll backflip on that was fuckin' beast! Absolutely love this video! Helicopter effects to get to the back country 😂😂
That rail session was dope
it was a fun session
7:20 the ultimate step on bindings, Burton WISHES their system worked that quickly😂
Thats my Target, Silverthorne Represent
Where is that DIY spot?
Thanks for the entertainment Tj and David!

Lol the freeriding was amazing.

Love those Salmon Arms mitts!
david knows whats up
I am glad that that there are Eason rentals new boots and boards every year so expensive till I stop growing thanks to season rentals
T.j. Let the intrusive thoughts in 🤣
finally
this is LEGENDARY!! 🤣🤣loved the ending
and Lowe's, where low prices are just...?
socioooo! everyday low prices 😎
Bro you can literally ride anything and make it look good!
hahaha thanks dude!
this is awesome, thanks guys!

Money well spent! What did David think of Lowes compared to Bunnings?
should have gotten the comparison from him
I say this board is for when you break your snowboard 2 days before (season ends) / (you go home) so you have something for the last day that just have to survive that day
Love the content. Let it snow!!
It would be so cool to see how a board like this compared to an OG snowboard like the Burton performer
This was such a fun video to watch!!
The TJ/David combo is unmatched
in sweden we have somthing called XXL and its a sports shop where you can get a kinda snow ish board for 20kr or 1.89 usd
Wait david is back!!
he's back! FBW8 coming in hot
That is better than the home made Snowboard I had to make myself in the 90's to get started, then I made it Pro.
That's looking like Berthoud! Man I miss that place.
David makes me laugh every time😂
Dude..that ending review segment...I didn't see it coming!
I started on one of those plastic tie dye boards with slip in “bindings”
Where on Loveland pass is that hike to park?
love the content, so effing fun!!
Damnnn, the backie commit!
always haha, wish they had better style but still stoked to try
Where is this diy park
Great video TJ and David!
"This thing is stiff, it has some stability... you might snap it" goes hard hahaha
theres a strong eco friendly story there as well
investing in a rotobrush, is the 300mm width worth the extra price?
I think it is, that way you can get a nice even run down the entire board in one go. it's definitely an investment, but a good one
Epic review!
hahah thanks homie
Definitely getting this to train my backflips
not a bad idea, it will probably fly off your feet with those original strap bindings tho
Heli drop was dope
🚁
Pair of Step Ons would of been a perfect match.
Hey what walkie talkie were you using at the end of the video?
BCA BC link
All jokes aside this is like the OG Snurfer boards. Except that had no bindings at all, just a leash you would hold.
This made me question wether I should have gotten a new board for this season or if it doesn’t matter
hahah it matters!
David Jones?? Where has he been!! 🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻
Can you use it as a wake board?
i love how hyped you are the entire video and then end it with do not buy this snowboard lol made me actually laugh. would like to see yall make a snowboard
1:47 look at this graph
I’m the only one that got this nickelback reference, even a year later too..
@@Texialsame
Ha I learned on this before going on a mountain and low key helped a lil
Looks like the perfect trampoline board.
More videos like this!!
Solid review 😂😂
someones gotta do it
this was so good. thank you guys!!!!! lmao so fun
earned the sub!
Do not buy this snowboard 😂
not even as a toy 😂
Ironing board?
Pure comedy TJ. 😂
glad you enjoyed it 😂
Where was this little park spot???
My first snowboard was a "black snow" and it was impossible to learn how to ride. I thought it was just me but when I received my first Burton, I realized why I couldn't figure it out. My first real board was the Burton Asym Air
LOL what a hoot! Great vid guys. Keep playin’ 😂😂😂
always!
I remember getting one of these as a kid.
No edges equals zero control turns out
Love that u took it to the Loveland pass park 😂😂
And on the a bay side of the pass too lmaoooo
how else was I gonna get a proper test
Haha that is the Target in Silverthorne isn't it?
Nice one, this should be viral
