HOW THE HELL does this guy have the balls to have a counter-claim when he has conned and stiffed FIVE DIFFERENT FAMILIES out of $2500. And then he just HAPPENS to sue for that amount. Why? We know he wasn't using it for his own rent, because clever lady just HAPPENS to have found his landlord and the landlord says he was actually evicting this guy in July for not paying rent.

Haha bcuz the plaintiff didn't call the owner in as a witness so he THOUGHT that he could try to get away with it BUT after they snuck the owner in like they did, he knew his goose was cooked so when the judge asked him about his counter claim all he could say was.... "I have nothing to say on that matter" hahaha 😆 this was the absolute best peoples court I've ever seen! She got double what she was asking for lol good for her!

He was planning to sublet a house to make money (even though he doesn't own the building) and he signed a lease with the plaintiff AND his wife''s sister, charging both women a high deposit.....and then, UH OH....he, himself, is being evicted and now he can't sublet the place, so he makes up this cockamamie story, trying to get out of it with the money still in his pocket. I bet you anything his eviction happened right around when he reneged on the deal.

Accordimg what I know is there is a set amount per case. The winners money is subtracted and paid out. The remaining difference is than divided equally between plaintiffs and defendants.
Like the other comments state, court shows make the litigants drop their cases and have the cases "settled" via the show. The show pays the plaintiff the amount owed according to the ruling, so it's guaranteed payment.

After that it is a legally enforceable judgement that they pay. The show DOES NOT pay it. If you don't believe me Google it but why would I make all that up. Deposit case again.. In Norway both part has to go to the bank, open "deposit account", and the money can not be touched by any part. The money stay till the day the tenant mooves and both part has to sign and agree if everything is ok. Very secure!
