- The plaintiff says he sold the defendant an LED vegetable growing box on eBay, but the guy reversed payment and is trying to stiff him. He’s suing for the money back. The defendant says he paid through his bank app, which he says he told the plaintiff would take 72 hours. He says the plaintiff contacted his bank, which alerted him someone wanted access to his personal details, so he canceled the transaction. He claims he told the plaintiff to pick up the box.

He is an ebay scammer... he knew that PayPal would refund him when there is no proof of delivery. He wanted the grow box, but didn't to pay for it. He is such a bad liar. Hope to God eBay removed him off their site. Damn scam buyer. EBay should also remove LOCAL PICKUP option since in order to prove the buyer got the item it needs a tracking number and or proof of delievery. Having a buyer sign a paper isn't enough.
Yup. That's why pay pal goods and services isn't always good because of situations like this. If you join a few Facebook scammer exposed groups you can see this is a typical scam.

He could have got a refund through eBay.
You need to learn all the ebay scams before you open shop on ebay, so you know how to avoid them.
Yes you’re right, local pick up is something I wouldn’t do either, this defendant thought he could scam the plaintiff, the charge back on PayPal says it all!!!!! He received the item, I’m actually surprised that papal did a charge back.

The plaintiff sent the wrong number he should have offered to pay through a more secured place or went to pick up the cash considering it was his mistake to send the wrong number. He didn’t get any slaps for his mistake

At first I didn't understand why the judge was being so hard on the defendant until she started reading the texts. She obviously read the texts beforehand so she was already pissed about the whole thing.🤦♀️ What a weirdo the defendant is.
@Kimberly Adorno yes! I was really disappointed in the Jusge bc it was OBVIOUS from the start she was already against the defendant. She didn't let him speak not one word to his crazy side of the story and that was NOT fair at all. Yes he was insane and wrong but I still really wanted to hear his story. This was 100% one sided. I thought the plaintiff was her favorite nephew or 1st cousin or something.
@@ndlamont01 honestly at first I was very put off by her attitude towards him, especially since it's a show and it should have been a buildup. But honestly I don't think there's really anything to defendant could have said to defend himself logically. Anything he did say just made him look more and more insane. He's either truly mentally unstable or a real scammer. The plaintiffs was really really nice to the defendant and more reasonable than most people would have been in his situation. I guess after reading the text messages the judge was so disgusted with the defendant's behavior, she just couldn't contain her anger and dismay.

The defendant is number one, off his latch, two, trying to BS his way out of paying. I've mostly had good experiences on eBay, but occasionally you get people like him that make a simple transaction a complicated twisty situation. Let me tell you, they are GOOD at entrapping you! I only buy now. When I was seller I had dealt with one total nut. Long story short, I actually lost sleep due to it. Threatening messages and all. That was 20 years ago and I haven't sold a thing on eBay since then.

You never ship a product on Ebay until the buyer has paid.
It's complicated because the buyers are also scared that they will pay full and not receive the product.
@@Ms1kimmy eBay has buyer protection though. If you pay for something and the seller doesn't ship it to you or they lie about the condition of the item, you get your money back.

I think the craziest part is the way the defendant used to pay was the chime set up incentive. I use chime, and if you refer a friend and they use their link to start using chime, after the first deposit after signing up, they get a sign up bonus for 200 dollars, as does the person who sent the link.
