I’ll probably never get to visit Ireland so I thank you for a sort tour. From what I have seen it appears you have a lifetime of scenes to sketch and paint. I love to sketch, normally in pencil followed by ink. Once the ink has dried I erase the pencil lines that remain exposed then I go to my watercolors, normally my Mungyo plein air paints. Thanks for this video. I did enjoy it.
Thankyou for taking us along on your evening jaunt, I loved your sketches and hope to learn something from each video. My current goal is to be braver and bolder with the inkpen instead of fussing with too many starts and stops. What a beautiful place for inspiration!😀
Both sketches are lovely, and I love the colours you used. Thanks for the bike ride too Your! Your sketchpocket is fantastic. Where can I get one? I'm in the UK.
Thank you Margaret! The bags will be available from August - we hope - but if you sign up for my weekly newsletter I can add you to my mailing list and you’ll be in the first batch. The demand has been like nothing I would have guessed so it’s the best option!
Such a gorgeous setting for painting. Your paintings are lovely. Thank you for sharing your bike ride with us. Do you have any updates on when your Sketchpocket might be available?
@@roisincure - thank you so much for answering me so quickly- that’s wonderful about the progress on your Sketchpocket! I love your work. I really enjoy sketching and painting outdoors. I have your book “Drawing Expressive People” which I love. I am just now watching your video of your gorgeous Galway book that is out of print. Your work is just so beautiful and lively. Thank you. 💕
Lovely drawings and a lovely town you live in... you are blessed! If you don't mind me asking, which R&K ink are you using? I'm relatively new to combining ink drawing with watercolor and would appreciate a suggestion. About a month ago I made a complex ink sketch but didn't realize until it was too late that my ink wasn't waterproof... live and learn.
That one is called Lotte and there are lots of lovely colours in the range. Make sure to get the one called Sketch Ink because it’s waterproof and it won’t clog your pen. Better luck next time!
Ah, that was just lovely. Thanks for taking us along on your afternoon journey.
Glad you enjoyed it!
How lovely! thanks for sharing a slice of Ireland.
My pleasure ❤️
Oh I need much longer videos from you ! Too good a storyteller to be short!
They’re on the way! I also have over 200 90-minute classes on my website that anyone can download, and there are a few freebies there too to try out 😁
What a perfect afternoon! Thank you for sharing, loved the sketch ❤
It really was! Thank you 🙏
So enjoyed this. Particularly your treatment of the reflections and how you depict clouds. Thanks so much. From BC Canada

Beautiful scenery and sketches.
Thank you!

Thank you, I think I do! Very kind of you!
Love your sketches...they kinda remind me of a Studio Ghibli movie. Ill definitely subscribe!
Funny, someone said that to me about ten years ago but I’ve never seen the resemblance myself…anyway you are very welcome!

You will get there. I was always hesitant but it’s so true that the hours put in change everything.
What a gorgeous place to live. Never been to Galway but would really love to go.
It’s not usually like this which explains why it’s deserted in the video! But the city is always mobbed in summer. It’s a fun place!
You're a treasure
Thanks for sharing your beautiful afternoon.
That’s so sweet ❤️❤️
Well, the cold dead hands will return with the flood. Apart from that it's a gorgeous painting, love it! 😊
Oh no!! I knew I wasn’t safe!

Beautiful. I’m taking notes because when the weather here perks up I’m off to the beach to see the fishing boats.
That’ll be gorgeous!

Yes, the final (I hope) sample is in production and we’re hoping to have nice bags full of art goodies by August ❤️
