The shell of this abbey is fabulously beautiful. I can only imagine what the inside must have looked like when it was finished in the 13th century. The architect was surely talented and forward thinking for his time.
You are absolutely right. It is an incredible structure! I have seen some artist impressions of the Abbey reconstructed and it looks stunning. I don’t think we could build something like this today.
