Sharon and Grant were the ultimate couple but it is a shame she left when she did. David and Sharon would have been a interesting path to explore.

She probably would have found him to be too much like Den (only without the sticking it in posh women or her best mate lol)

Best thing Sharon did was leave Grant and the square. Everyone was toxic to Sharon after the affair was revealed and Phil got away scott free! 🙄

Grant's had a long-standing jealousy when it came to Sharon and David (remember when David flirted with her in the Vic and Grant hospitalized him?) and this was the main reason why he enjoyed tormenting David in 1996 after his sordid affair with Cindy was revealed.

I felt very sad for Sharon when she described being adopted as "everything being on hire". Turns out she had the right instincts about avoiding finding her biological father! EastEnders is best when they tackle social issues, not these melodramatic endless whoddunnit storylines.

Did you know that the original plan was to have Pat revealed as Sharon's birth mother? That would have made Sharon and David brother and sister!

Do you have a source for that? As Sharon lost her virginity to Simon Wicks, Pat's older son. She was super supportive of their relationship, so I doubt it.

Pat even suspected Den might have been Simon's father at one point as she was messing with him during her marriage to Pete.

Pat knew who the dad was from the off she said she suspected Den (and various others) as the father and it was mentioned onscreen. However it was not the "original plan" at all. He was one of the red herrings. They had cast Brian and he was the plan all along Den like Pete and others were always red herrings. So she never suspected he was she claimed he could be along with others. So the audience would be surprised it was Brian. The actor was cast to play the dad hence the original plan.
So you are right hulk but I was not responding to that. I was responding to the "original plan" which is nonsense as they cast Brian for that reason.

I love this scene, David is one of my favourite characters, a lonely lost soul, hard to think Sharon once had a fling with David’s brother; Simon, Sharon was also lost at this point, never again will EE be this good, instead of deep characters like David Wicks we have love island/towie types like Keanu 😒😒

I remember liking Simon and Sharon together. Nick Berry and Letitia Dean had good chemistry. Too bad the writers had him get trapped by Cindy's pregnancy. Berry admitted he left Eastenders because he didn't like how they ended up writing Simon as a homewrecker.

@@iluvlafferty Yeah I heard that Nick Berry was unhappy about Simon being a home wrecker, the writers wanted to repeat History of two Beale brothers fighting over the same woman, apparently in the early days, Simon was supposed to be a younger version of Den, and he and Sharon were to run the Queen Vic together eventually
