I wish that other musicians could match the emotions, music and poetry in the way he does. Emotions I can't even make a name for seem to be easily replicated and felt through his music. My all time favorite poet. In fact, I named my dog after him.

the imagery of John's lyrics are so clear, and I am sure hit home for anyone that has been fortunate enough to listen. At least the words hit home for me.

“As I stand before an unresponsive automatic door, just another door that won’t open for me anymore” Man, that is one of the heaviest lyrics...

I'm here for an ode from Manchester orchestra's headman Andy. I can see the connection through soulful paths and intention. Thanks for sharing this 'thread' as JKS would say...

Possible due to the funky audio with the guitar but that's more of the engineers fault than anything else.

I'm grateful for the weakerthans, but I mourn for How much Propagandhi went downhill after he left. Would they have stayed amazing if JKS didn't leave? Probably not, but he obviously brought more than just backup vocs, bass lines, and a few songs of his own. He brought a playfulness (or something that made them less serious, I guess?)... I don't know, but it sucks! But then again, when I think of the first 2 weakerthans albums, it might've been worth it (or at least makes it even).

No, no, no, no... Propagandhi became a wholly different beast!
I love the weakerthans but much prefare propagandhi AFTER John left.
He became an excellent songwriter in his own right, the weakerthans was magnificent, his new album looks like it will be brilliant and the addition of Todd the rod made Propagandhi into a fantastic thrash band!
The departure gave both bands the freedom to grow.

scottbaylo I agree I preferred the angelic side / tone kicking in front time to time . In contrast to the other vocalist , I loved propagandhi first two records , lost interest later on , but will definitley check them out in time still
