@@powerwagon3731 haha, I’m fully aware that a 48re is a Chrysler Trans but I’m curious as to why you would assume this truck has a 48re… this is a Ford HiBoy that’s running all the factory running gear except for the engine and trans, seeing as how the 5.9 in this truck has a P7100 injector pump it would make more sense to assume the engine and trans both came from a donor truck “most likely the same donor truck”, and the P Pump engines were only mated with 47rh and 47re automatic transmissions, the 48re was only used with common rail engines. A torque flight would make sense if the combo came from a first Gen donor truck and the engine was upgraded to a P Pump, but a 48re would be a pretty far reach.

1989 was the first year for the Cummins 5.9L diesel in the Dodge Ram series so it was late 1980s more so than mid-1980s. I can do without the rolling coal smoke especially if I'm behind it. I'm all for power and performance, but when it smokes and stinks, it's not for me.

(like California) And I happen to like driving my early 2000's 5.9's and 7.3 (of course I like the 5.9's better !!!)
