  • Here is one to just show clawhammer can get used on modern songs .I am playing my new Goldtone AC12/ a in double d tuning up 2 frets at E bEBEF# . THe intonation on this thing is impecable .I have to remember not to over push on the third string fifth fret as it can come up sharp . Every instrument has things to remember .. I love this thing .. All the best , Guy

You're fast becoming my favourite banjo player! (Nora Brown eat your heart out!) I love Northumberland too.

Well played, Guy! I enjoy seeing the admiration that you have for your AC-12a; it's what encouraged me to pick one up a couple months back. I absolutely love it, too! Thanks for doing what you do! 😁

Goldtone is going to have quite a time keeping up on making enouph of this particular model .For old time music it is just a gem of a banjo ...

Beautiful! I was playing this video in the background while entertaining my baby daughter - she was giggling and smiling the whole time.
Since I’m not sure where to ask this, I’ll ask here and hope you see it: I’m only early 30s and have very limited musical experience despite the fact that my father is a guitarist. I’ve always wanted to learn banjo. Do you think it’s too late for me to pick it up? And if I decided to try, do you think the new gold tone you’re playing on is a good beginner instrument? I’ve seen lots of folks praising it as a very affordable option.

Hello Jesse , Yes I love this banjo for a lot of reasons .. At $300.00 you can not go wrong with this banjo ... Have fun with the learning experience. I remember how excited I was every month when I got a little better and a little better.. Enjoy the ride ...
