It’s a crime they censor music. This is such a classic fun song. I also liked How come/Gitup by D-12 growing up. Fight music is also great but Bizarre goes extra in that one.

D12 was a Detroit rap crew that Eminem joined before he became famous... his best friend Proof was the key 'organizer' - Tragically, he was murdered in 2006, and his death ended the group. In the movie '8 Mile', actor Mekhi Phifer's character in the movie was based on Proof.

And yes the industry was down playing their skills because Em was their "leader" even though they all would say Proof was the real leader.

@@ILikeCHEEZ9 oh yeah Stepping Stones is a massive thank you to them I feel like. For what they did for Eminem, and what he couldn't do for them in the end I think. That he couldn't return the same love and success that he feels they let him achieve, especially Proof. Many feel like without Proof there would be no Eminem. Everyone has their inspiration and those who push them to succeed, even Eminem.

D12 aka Dirty Dozen was a group formed by Proof, Eminem, Bizarre, Mr. Porter, Kuniva and swift and it was formed to unite the best rappers in all Detroit together.
The idea behind the name of the group was that each member had a second personality: Eminem as Slim Shady, Proof as Dirty Harry, Bizarre as Peter S. Bizarre, Mr. Porter as Kon Artis, Kuniva as Rondell and Swoft as Swifty McVay.
Before Eminem there was a rapper called bugz that died around 1999 i think during a shootout and since the group was missing a member Proof wich was eminems highschool friend convinced him to join. They made a promise that if one of the members became famous he would have help the others too. Even if Eminem went along with basically all the members Proof was the glue that kept them together and when he died in 2006 the band slowly fell apart and in 2018 after years of no new albums or songs Eminem announced that D12 was over in the song Stepping Stone. this song was made for people like you, i swear a lot of reaction videos didnt get the light heartedness and satire of this song, it's just pure fun and an accurate representation of how eminem had millions of fans and in these millions only a small minority even knew D13 existed. so when Em joined D12 he def was the spotlight. ver fun reaction and was great seeing you have fun :)
D13? It's always been D12. Em has been in the D12 since its beginning. It supposed to have 12 Detroit rappers in it originally, but I think,they couldn't find 12 good ones. Eminem brought his homies with him after he got signed.

Eminem said in an interview many years ago that the point of d12 was to be so comedically outlandish and say things there's no way they would be able to say in their own independent careers. So they were just trying to push the envelope as far as possible and see what they could get away with 🤣🤣

a 'turntable' is the ~proper~ way to say a record player. the joke in the office was a play on words, michael is a lil dumb so he mixed up 'turntable' with 'how the table turns' (meaning, the power dynamic shifts. imagine being at a job interview behind a desk-if you had the upperhand on the boss you could say 'how the tables turn/how the table turns') i hope that explained it decently enough?

It´s a popular heavy metall band from sweden that sings about historical events, their music videos are sick! Often with a bit of short history before so you know which event.

D-12 was Eminem's crew's band. The leader was Proof and it was called D-12 because they called themselves The Dirty Dozen. Dozen because there was 6 of them and they all had alternate personalities, Slim Shady obviously being the most famous. I don't know any other ones besides Proof who was Dirty Hairy.

Yes, he is a part of D12 and this whole song and video we’re a joke making fun of themselves and boy bands and how they have a lot of fighting amongst each other and everyone tries going solo, but only one really ends up making it. There are six different artists in D12, but they call themselves the Dirty Dozen or Detroit Dozen because they all have an alternate stage persona that gets all the dark and disgusting messed up lyrics.

Hiphop incorporated pphysical effects by disc scratching, needle jumping, rewinding and fast forwarding.
Maybe some of these names are wrong because I'm translating and didn't learn them in english, but the turn tables bit I'm sure =)
