Things to try Bandi(peanut brittle), baye baye, Linaga with insides from Lapaz, Laswa (veggie soup) and Kadios Lanka Mongo (Mongo version of Kbl)..... pulot coconut sugar dessert
Hi chris and steph hoe your doing great. I ran iuts video to watch i just binged everything youv done. And then i gotta download the recipes of corse and learn them. Bhunna chickens my favorite. It basicly chicken tika menthod then add the chicken to the sauce. Then i put in iven fir two hrs on 90dec C. Below boiling point; but above cooking point. So youl never burn it. Can leave a roast in all night if you like. Tios courtesy of heston blumenthall. Also means no indian smell in the house cos if you can smell it; your losing flavor
Another amazing food tour! That Arroz caldo for breakfast is what we need right now. Those “bakpao” looks fantastic and the Batchoy was insanely delicious. So many interesting dishes that we can’t wait to try 😁 Thank you so much for sharing ❤
The arroz caldo was perfect, the ultimate breakfast dish. You will love the Philippines. Thank you guys so much for your incredible support and for watching 🧡
Hi, I've been watching your vlogs from the start of your food trips here in the Philippines and it was so informative and fun to watch. I am from Iloilo City by the way and I'm so glad you've visited our city. I hope you enjoyed your stay. Thank you for featuring our best and legendary food/restaurant here in the city. Looking forward to more food trip videos. More Power to both of you.😍God bless🙏
Thanks so much for watching and for your support Michelle!! We had a blast in Iloilo, we really enjoyed the city. The food was incredible and everyone was so friendly and welcoming to us. It's definitely somewhere we could see ourselves coming back to some day 😊 we've got another video from Iloilo coming out next week, so stay tuned 😉
Loved the video, guys!! We watched it while we were having supper and your variety definitely beat ours, lol😂,!! The halo halo in the coconut looked so refreshing 😋! Coconut is the very best!! The barquillos looked so tasty! What awesome hospitality!
Thanks for a must try merienda (snack) episode! ✨️😊 I'd like to add that most of the food in this video are favorite breakfast and merienda items by a lot of locals - like the arroz caldo (rice porridge / rice soup), puto (this word of Malay Origin, not Spanish 😂 meaning rice cake), siopao, batchoy, and coffee with something sweet like suman or barquillos. Arroz caldo and batchoy are also recovery food for me when I am under the weather. Steph had suman with her coffee. Other good pairings with suman would be latik (reduced coconut crème sauce), chocolate sauce, or ripe manggo. Chris had such a big bowl of batchoy! Looks like it can feed two or three less hungry people. Hahaha! It is common for locals to pair noodles and siopao, but with the size of those servings, I'd need some people to share it with! Barquillos is a childhood treat for me and I am really happy to finally have seen how they are made. I appreciate it so much guys. 😊🧡 Kudos to another happy belly episode! 🧡🫰🏻🫶🏻
Hey Cris! Oh my gosh that bowl of batchoy was massive, definitely for more than one person. We needed you there to help😉 We love latik, that would definitely go perfect with the suman🤤 So glad you could see how the barquillos were made, we thought it was a very cool process as well. Thanks so much again for watching and commenting 😊 we always look forward to your comments😍
Iloilo is the best place to live, eat , cos it’s very clean, peaceful city and the best food you can eat at very cheap prices , compared to other cities. Seafoods are sooo fresh and tasty. Not so fast paced and Ilonggos are very friend,y , warm and hospitable people in the world.
Wow, everything you said is totally true! Iloilo is a wonderful city, we enjoyed our time there so much and the people were so friendly and welcoming. We can't wait to go back again someday 😊 Thanks so much for your comment and for watching!
Thanks Bong, we love learning about the food and culture of where we are, it definitely makes you appreciate it all so much more. Thanks so much for watching and commenting😊
The sauce is for the meatballs not for the siopao😂. The “queen” has said when she was alive that the siopao can stand on its own with no sauce. Just FYI.
What? The Siopao has Chinese sausage, Bacon, and plum sauce. Now that sounds ridiculous. First no such thing as plum sauce in the Philippines. Its a Siopao, nobody calls it a bao in the Philippines. So obviously that is not exotic, because apparently its called a Bao. In places where that is common as bagel. (one Iconic Food from ilo ilo is that pork with black beans and a variety of Jackfruit. That is something more interesting the arroz caldo which mundane as boiled eggs.
The pork with black beans and jackfruit is KBL, we had that while in Bacolod, so in this video are featuring some different foods. For people who aren't from the Philippines, the arroz caldo is something new 😉 and for those who are Filipino, who doesn't love arroz caldo!? We really enjoyed it with the native chicken. Thanks for watching Eduardo!
What's up everyone!

Hello! Thanks so much for watching 😊
In Iloilo it is not masarap, it is expressed as " namit".
Good to know!
❤️😊❤️❤️❤️
Thanks for watching!!
The sauce is for the meatballs not for the siopao😂. The “queen” has said when she was alive that the siopao can stand on its own with no sauce. Just FYI.
The siopao is definitely flavourful on its own! Thanks a lot for watching :)
You look like rovilson fernandez .. male celeb. In ph

Filipino barquillos is way better than the Spanish version.
We haven't tried the Spanish version, but need to to compare! Thanks for watching 😊
