I think the lady that lead her to the stage was absolutely priceless! very touching moment
She should've switched her mic off though, feels artificial when you play all those instructions out loud.

Yeah I noticed that back when she first came on and I was about to type what you said.
I've watched so many of these auditions, and I can honestly say, if I was a judge, I would have hit that button so hard on that first note, I would have shattered my chair into pieces. This girl has an incredible tone in her voice. What an absolute delight to listen to. *wipes tear from face*
Well, that tore me up. Of course people were crying! She is singing how she sees the world. all dressed in pink, beautiful, peaceful…yet she is blind. I would have been in the aisles crying. I also, to mention it, would like to say that I bet that without seeing, in being blind, she DOES see the world as she chooses, which may, as far as we know, be in pink! Brava!
Well, somehow, she was able to look directly in to my soul as soon as she walked on stage and started singing.
I grew up with Edith Pial's "La Vie En Rose" (Parisienne translation "When Roses Bloom"
This young lady sings it like she has experienced life's love and pain of lost love...and her in this performance she is only 18...
All I can say WOW ! WOW !

Yes. Look at seal as soon as she starts singing. He is mesmerized, the SAME EXACT way I was. Sometimes, it's not about hitting the button right away. They are literally blown away and appreciating her art

I DIDNT KNOW SHE WAS BLIND because the other videos I saw of her was just of her singing, no description, nothing really about her or the fact that she was guided to the stage! I LOVE HER I LOVE HER VOICE
I still get chills after all this time watching her audition. I wish the last part hadn't been cut though, where Rachael tells them she's blind - the judges' reactions are priceless.
She is such an inspiration to young and old - I know whenever I'm feeling down or overwhelmed with everything, this video shows me what strength and determination can do, regardless of your circumstances.

Having worked in Live Theater in my mid twenties I was gratefully introduced to the wonderful voice of a famous French songstress by the name of Edith Piaf. I have listened to her recordings for hours. This young lady has taken me to a welling of emotion & tears of joy for me she is the re-incarnation of fore mentioned person. Rachael! you made this song yours as well & I look forward to hearing more of you well into the future.

The Voice, Australia, Holland, USA, and others are all behind the UK in posting these clips on you tube. The UK in many of the music competitions puts the full auditions and full episodes on you tube of their shows. All the others only put small clips and we don't get to hear the coaches talk to the contestants
completely agree, its something thats always bugged me so much about The voice in australia e.e i have to instead try to recall judges comments when i watched it on tv

I have to admit I actually have not watched the voice after Rachel singing this song as I always believed that this performance would never be topped. Whether she won or lost that year is not important, but she definitely has carved her name in 'the voice' history of the best.
Plenty of great talent after her...but yes, she is the best to touch a stage on the voice, at least as far as women vocalists. The only other woman on the show who could come close to her, is Alison Porter. She was also amazing and won the voice U.S

I love this show and the energy and agree with the audience... but sometimes I wish the audience would shut the hell up till the end like oh... i dunno... a respectful audience who has to realize the judges need to hear the person
If that was the case then they wouldn't have the show in front of an audience in the first place. I guess part of their judging is to see how well the audience reacts to the performance

Why is it amazing that blind girl has a lovely voice; why shouldn't she? I don't understand the emphasis on her being blind; what bearing does this have on someone's ability/inability to sing well?
I believe that because this is a rare thing, people tend to emphasise it more due to the challenges that one has to face when blind.
