The character of Mother fascinates me, which is typically hard for God entities to do. Something about an ambiguous creature that takes on the vague form of a familiar, beloved character, and looks after what are essentially misfit creatures in a secluded location in the world interests me. That, and the fact she never reveals herself till the very end of an encounter, both in Treasure Island 2020, and Oblitius Casa.
What I think is interesting is that in "Abandoned By Disney" (Oblitus Casa source material) there are a species of creatures called "Corruptus" which were made by Disney to be a false god to worship but were failed experiments.
I strangely love that Mother is never fully explained. We know she's connected to the Corruptus in some way, but her dialogue implies she's been around since before the island suffered the event. She also implies that she's aware of every iteration of the Treasure Island story. She's a truly fascinating character, and I hope we will get to learn more about her in the upcoming Treasure Island remaster.

Heck, the original creepypasta said the corruptus manifested at least partially due to the hate felt towards the resort by the locals, so it's possible that something similar happened here, maybe people didn't want the park built on the island due to the local legends of an entity (Mother) that resided there, and then the corruptus came as a result

Anyone else notice when the difference shapes/silhouettes flash by at around 2:04, you can see the shape of GOD from the older versions of FNATI? This implies not only is mother a re-written version of the character, she IS the character. I know that Henry's dialogue after night 6 confirms the whole time-loop thing, but this was a nice way of building up to that. FNATI 2020 is both a remake and a continuation, and we finally have a more clear idea of what GOD actually is. She's like some eldritch God, straight out of SCP, honestly
The reversed music in the background of Mother's speech is We've Been Had by The Walkmen. I know it because I've used that music myself, as did a certain webseries made by a groomer.

Mother has always bothered the fuck out of me not because of how creepy or omnipresent she makes herself out to be but the sheer fact of her massive hypocrisy. "They were scared of you" Bullshit. She sent them to hunt you down and many of the other creatures were sent to the player in an attempt to kill them for just trying to find out what happened to a run down theme park and she went out of her way to outright murder each of them and not expect that someone would eventually tear everything down which lead to her inevitably burning to death the same way as Hourglass went. Honestly watching her burn to nothing is fitting because this character made no sense to me. Still on the other hand, props to the voice actress though she definitely nailed the role perfectly.
My personal reaction to her entire speech: Well, your actions sure don't convince me that you had any good intentions. Nice try though, and a great speech too. Made billions of people all across the world feel bad for you.
