I'am a student of MSc Physics 2 year. Aur mene school time se research mai jaane ka socha hai..aur mai interested bhi hu..but sometimes mai thoda nervous ho jati hu.kunki phd k regarding bht log kehte hai k uske baad job k koi assurity nhi hai..aur ye kaafi stressful bhi rehta hai.. please aap bataiye k abhi tak apki journey kesi rhi hai..

I did M.Tech. in Industrial Engg. I'm interested to do Ph.D. in operations management and quantitative applications from management school IISC. I'm not GATE or any other entrance qualified. My Bachelors and Masters %age are 72% both respectively. Am I eligible to do Ph.D. full time with stiphend from there? Kindly advice.
Having GATE scores are good and they will prefer it to assess but you will need to have a good research topic where the faculty is interested.

If you really want to pursue PhD, then figure out which area you really want to research on, do data collection and analyzing by self, have something concrete information, then search for the faculty that is specializing in your kind of data set and try to get some one influence you to meet corresponding faculty and meet them and discuss with them. You will get better clarity and will know how to approach this subject and which university and what to expect .

Could you please tell me is it a good place for phd?
@Ankita As you said you have been selected for a direct PhD at BITS Pilani, Rajasthan. In general it is a good place to pursue the PhD degree. However, it completely depends on your research field, your guide, Laboratory conditions (Joined Lab) & your expectations from PhD. PhD is a long course and could not get a good degree without your interest in the offered field. So, take your time and then go for it.
