Sir if I am interested in research in theoretical machine learning and neuroscience, should I go for PhD (Direct) in IISc even though I have a GATE rank in double digits? Or should I prefer MTech from IISc and PhD from abroad. My age is kindof in the higher side (26~27) and I want to complete my PhD in 5 years. Plz be honest with your reply to what should i do. It's almost impossible to get phd completed within 5 years in IISc. Don't know much about in foreign.
Getting into IISc is much easier as compared to getting out of it - words of almost all phd scholars.
Rest, those who do not have boundary comdition of age and are willing to learn will always prefer IISc over any other institue in India(world)*

Neuroscience se phd ke bad job profile hai
Hi, if selected in 1st interview round, do they conduct 2nd round on same day or at a later date. Pl advise....thnx.
There could be 1 to 4 days gap between the two rounds. They will inform you about it through email. One instance I personally know was like this:- 1st round was scheduled on 13th to 15th May and 2nd round was scheduled on 16th and 17th May. So, for example, your 1st round of interview was conducted on 13th or 14th or 15th then 2nd round will be conducted on 16th or 17th. 1st round dates and time will be mentioned on your call letter. If you clear the 1st round then w.r.t above example you will be notified about it on the 15th evening. And then 2nd round will be conducted either on 16th or 17th. This can change from year to year. But this was the case with me.
Can we go for Ph.D in Neuroscience dept after completing M.Sc in Zoology?? Will there be any negative points/shortcomings if we do so? Please do reply.

Try to speak in English but whenever you fill difficulty in English then you can switch to Hindi for some time.

@@vidhiwaghadiya3995 I would recommend you to go for MBBS, if you get through NEET. After that, you can opt for any specialization for Masters, be it Neurology, Psychology, Psychiatry, Neuroscience, etc.
But in case you wanna do BS-MS instead, better join some research institute and pursue a project in Neuroscience.
