30 or more years ago, friends made this for my husband and me, but they actually burned the butter. It was so delicious, we made it all the time at home. My kids loved it, too. Has anyone ever made this recipe with burned butter?
yes, I used to burn my butter. I also used to remove the milk fats. but now I love just slightly frying those milk fats and then whisking them into the butter for a thicker pasty butter. 😊

I made this last night but didn't catch where you said to use 8 Oz of butter or one stick. I followed the recipe on your website. It did taste like it was short of butter as I had only used 1 stick as you wrote in the recipe. Probably be a good idea to change this on your recipe as you probably meant 2 sticks (4 Oz each) or 8 Oz of butter.
