I travel to Joburg every 3 months (girlfriend is a native and lives on a golf estate) and can attest to Ira greatness. I go so frequently because I love the environment (yep…it’s like the US except people have much better manners, food better and nature better and lifestyle is better). I lived there for 6 months during Covid (didn’t want to be locked down in the USA ). There is nothing in the USA that you can’t find in SA. No need bring anything “new” or teach anything because they already know. Just more reserved about showing off. I am baffled why aid groups go there cause locals know how to do well on their own.
I said all of this to say everything you see is real. The city and country 100% legit. Joburg is laid back version of Atlanta and New York and Birmingham, Alabama (for historical events, Soweto, etc)

Why are people shocked at the fact that South Africa is developed. That can only come from an arrogant, uneducated mind. And, our manners are more well developed as well. You greet a person first before you ask questions or have a conversation. It seems that Americans can learn more from us than us from them.

HECK NO!, South Africans are more highly standard than America. The difference between the USA and SA is the Dollar!! Yeah, some of our brothers and sisters never travel internationally just going around only USA, they are so ignorant thinking that Africa doesn't
have nice Malls, and they don't know fashion or African people don't drive nice cars. They don't know that most South Africans Blacks have maids and white helpers I witnessed that. Also, American Malls are okay but not all that. Sick and tired of them coming over there to do this video and talking blah-blah! Why don't they show Mississippi, North Carolina, And Downtown Los Angeles plus Queens in New YORK? Yeah please My fellow brothers when you go back home to the continent
(First Please start greeting people before asking for directions or anything ]. Adopt the culture then you will get respect back, leave behind all that American culture when you visit any part of the world the best thing is to humble yourself and go with the flow. It was when you asked for directions from the first guys and they had to force you to greet them. In Africa you greet by default and when asked "How are you?" The answer is not "I'm fine". If you get your license with an automatic car, you are not legally allowed to drive a manual so most people learn manual and get their license with manual because then you can legally drive both. Ps, you can't push start an automatic but you can with a manual, so, all around, manual is better. Cheaper and easier to maintain.

The place where this guy said "we’re in the food court" - Nope, the food court is on the top level. Right above the Krispy Kreme, which he walked past 3 times.😅 I was wondering, why doesn’t he just use the big touch screens (he walked past at least one of those). In case you don’t have those in the States, it is a man-sized video screen usually playing adverts. Just touch it and it’s a computer screen, allowing you to navigate to any store , just type in the store name, or type of store you’re looking for (such as shoe stores), and it will show you a map, with where you are, and even visual directions on how to get to the specific store.
