14:06 is still one of the best screams I've heard in any medium. It is so filled with rage and desperation and really shows how powerful Gyutaro's will to survive is. It is animalistic, human, and demonic all in one. This episode could really be praised a thousand ways but something I noticed in this viewing was how well they utilized Gyutaro's single eye in combination with his attacks, particularly in that scene where he chases down Tanjiro. The way the blood blades wrap around his raged filled eye as it drops back in shadow. And then again when he and Tengen are locked in battle is just insane. I truly believe Gyutaro is one of the very few fully realized antagonists in that EVERYTHING that it takes to make the character come alive in the medium is done at such a high level. The character animations, choreography (how he moves is as important as where he moves), voice acting (screams, grunts, taunts, it is all fantastic), sound effects (of his blood blades, his slicing scythes), art direction and animation (just one example of many above), and finally his part in the story and his own backstory are all done expertly and work together so well as to create something truly rare.
Yes bro, that scream was the sound of someone trying his fucking hardest to get up... that's like a life or death scream at that point lmao His voice earlier in the episode where he was telling Tanjiro to Kill him when he was toying with Tanjiro was also so good
I agree. When you only have a character around for a quarter of a season, it's easier to fully flesh them out, and that's exactly what they did with Gyutaro. It's why he's my favorite villain in Demon Slayer.

All I will say is that in my opinion, mappa is the best animation studio in the world Because the folks at Ufotable are OUT OF THIS WORLD, seriously That has to be the best animated sequence ever. Everything about is perfect
the "best" is debatable and these studios mainly adapt shonen manga, specifically the action genre action is just a fraction of genres out there, and each studio has its own speciality kyoani for slice of life david production for sound design shaft for rom com A1 for novel adaptations sunrise for mecha and studio trigger has its own things I haven't even mentioned studios that specifically deal with theatre release such as ghibli, comix waves, etc I mean sure it all comes down to personal preferences so I respect your opinion but I'm just saying that there are so many amazing studios out there
@@marcioamaral7511 I know I know xd that's exactly why I said "in my opinion", but it doesn't surprised me that people still came after me, this is the internet after all haha IN MY OPINION, that's the best animated scene I've seen, if you've seen a better one, I'm open to suggestions!! Not just anime btw
I'll never stop being impressed by Ange's ear for music. My eyes were trained on the animation and the dialogue that I didn't notice these nice details they added in. Ufotable is truly an amazing studio! Also 32:05. The moments when Carlie admonishes Ange for his simping (admiring the female form) are just hilarious XD.
tengen fight the whole battle under posion...and the finale battle without one arm ....and even after that he lost one eye too...but didn't give up..........................he did'nt give up just like tanjiro...and thats the real fact i like this anime too much....no one gives up🔥🔥
I just realized that what Gyutaro said about Tanjiro’s relentless will to take him down is a call back to his first encounter with Giyuu when he almost beheaded him with the flying axe after he was knocked out 🥲
2 months late reply but Zenitsu mentioned in the episode that he was slowing down, he also mentioned it in the episode. Will also just add that in the manga (since it's more detailed) that Inosuke also actually came from the opposite direction to be able to meet them and cut Daki's neck.
How i felt at this episode was that they (Tanjiro, Innosuke, Zenitsu and Tengen) got really…extremely lucky. Cuz there was no way at all they could have looked at this whole battle and said “yeah, we totally got this”…had Daki just been a bit more serious when fighting Tanjiro in the beginning, had Tanjiro and Innosuke actually left the entertainment district following Tengen’s initial instruction, had Gyutaro not played with Tanjiro, had Tanjiro actually achieved in beheading Daki when he was in the bloodied eye trance, had Gyutaro decided to kill Zenitsu instead of leaving him under the rubble…these were some conditions that the demons had left intentionally unattended that got the best of them. This is the one fight i felt that they NEVER had an equal chance of winning (next to Akaza’s), as before all fights stands an equal chance for either side to win. A huge stroke of luck that worked out for all of them prior to the final scene of this episode
In my opinion it makes sense, it wasn't luck, they won because their enemies never considered them real danger and they paid for it, Akaza did the same thing with Rengoku and in fact he risked being burned despite being upper moon 3, it's a theme with demons, they underestimate humans and this is the biggest advantage of the Demon Slaye corp.
@@albertinstan5090 exactly, they think themselves so far above humans that they could not possibly be defeated by them (and no upper moon had been for so long) and it's why Akaza almost died (underestimated Rengoku's unbending will) and Gyutaro underestimated Tanjiro. Basically just like the siths there own arrogance and confidence is what leads to there doom. Overconfidence is a flimsy shield.
You villain d**k riders will never cease to amaze me. Of course someone who lived for decades and has immense power will be stronger than 14-23 year old. This is not the flex you think it is.
I've never been a fan of these Asian cartoons most because I don't understand them. My daughter watches this and asked me to watch it with her. We've always had a hard time bonding. There is actually a little trailer for season 3 and they said the season gets out in March 2023 I think. I'd love to watch your reaction to it. Btw Tengen's VA is the same who did Captain Ginyu from Dragon Ball Z in Japanese 😁
You have no idea how long I've waited for you two to get to this episode once you started this anime. This is one of the best, if not, the best animated episode ever. Loved the reaction x3.
The animation just after Tengen comes back is god-like, truly breathtakingly beautiful. Always shed a tear at that bit, absolutely amazing! Told you that even after Kyojuro v Akaza it still had room to get better, somehow, so so good! P.S. Love the reaction as always, you get into the show exactly as we all do, and it shows.
The entanglement of Akaza and Rengoku, both in their death throes, arm in stomach with other arm bound by the others grip with the sun on the rise...blade inching through the neck... Nothing tops that entanglement. At least for me. The best use of the yelling sounds ever.
Thanks a lot for your great reaction...this anime so crazy epic for me too. Next year last other demons voice actors represent ?! ...i really enjoyed your video.
I'd like to add that the chinese character for the word 'deflect' also have another meaning for 'playing string instrument (sawing like movement)'. When Uzui completed his score, he was literally 'reading' and 'playing' all attacks. Very clever
Both Mugen train & the Entertainment arc is some of the best anime I have EVER seen. I literally stopped breathing as Tengen & Gyutaro were scream-fighting. And the reveal of Tengen's ability to read the attacks like a music score!! As a band nerd I subconsciously do that with mundane stuff! It was such a beautifully hype moment.
And yes, this is probably the best animated episode in history... and also the sound design. Holy crap. EDIT: Fun fact - in the manga, Hinatsuru (the favourite wife) slipped Tanjirou the poisoned kunai when she was on the roof with him, to give him surprise attack. In the anime they changed it to be Tanjiro going to find the kunai. The anime is an awesome adaptation, but I do also like knowing that Hinatsuru was so perceptive and thinking of future situations by giving him the knife.
It kinda makes sense that she didn’t give to him in the anime. It was a tanjirou x gyutarou - all - alone - against - a - strong - horrible - demon - while - everyone - is - gone - moment. All hurt and frustrated caged by fire. And hinatsuru appearing would change that
@@PeyloBeauty yeah for sure. She actually gives him the kunai while on the roof earlier, in the manga. So she gave it to him as an extra tool in case he needed it (which he did). She never helped him when he was in the fire zone :) totally agree that it would affect the mood if she had.
That flame mark on Tanjiro's head is the mark of the 1st ever Demon Slayer, Yoriichi, who was the master of the Sun Breathing, which is strongest form of all and is made for sole purpose of Muzan's annihilation, moreover, the hinokami kagura style that tanjiro uses, is the sun breathing style, which Yoriichi taught to Tanjiro's ancestors and it was carried out to be passed on to upcoming generations along with the hanafuda earrings that tanjiro wears
Tengens cover gives me goosebumps, that's crazy man Side note: the scene with Tanjiro an Gyutaro when we they both amp up is one of my favorite scenes in all of anime.
You gotta give credit where credit is due and Daki's and Gyutaro's voice actor's give a 110% in their performances. 😁 I can't wait to watch season 3 next year. I hope your both safe down south and that the recent heavy rains haven't effected you. Keep up the fun reactions and take care. From sunny Queensland 👍🏽
"Daki's not ready for the Thunderclap!" You two weren't ready either haha! 🤣🤣🤣 When Zenitsu says he can only do it twice, he means EVER. It tears his body apart to go that fast. Especially his legs. !!!!STOP SPOILING!!!!! 😡😡😡😡
Another comment on another channel said that in real life the red light district suffered a fire from which it never recovered. A fire that they didn't know how it started. Personally I love that tie in!
one thing the anime never mentions is zenitsu was moving around the area where inosuke was and he wasn’t going in a straight line and he was also losing speed, that’s why inosuke was able to catch up with him
Its told that Gyutaro is insanely smart in learning from mistakes. Tengen first dodged Gyutaros try for the kill when they met with the left hand. Then Tengen saved Kamado from getting stabbed from Gyutaro by throwing him away wiuth his left hand out of the fight. That is the main reason Gyutaro cut off Tengens left hand. But still before the final fight when Tengen interrupted Gyutaro stabbing Tanjiro Tengen used his left arm and saved him again with the left side of his body. That is the reason Gyutaro cut right throught Tengens left eye making him unable to have a left sided vision giving Gyutaro the chance to finally stab Tanjiro. Gyutaro is very smart and can quickly analyse his mistakes. He also was meant to be Upper 4 wiuthout Daki but he didnt want to so he became Upper 6.
The moment tanjirou almost lost his eye and it went slo mo I SCREAMED "TENGEN“ and there he was a split second later. What a flashy entrance. Same with inosuke. Bro never lets them now
I've been an anime fan since the late 80's (Yep, I'm old) and this is some of the best animation I've seen in a fight sequence. Just amazing. 10/10 episode.
Finally you both have had the experience of a lifetime. I think I speak for the entire comment section when I say we've all been waiting for this moment ❤️❤️
I love how detailed your analysis is in everything you watch! Hearing things that I didn’t pick up on makes watching with you the most rewarding thing about your channel!
I think, Gyutaro devoured 15 Hashiras whereas Daki did 7, means only 7 hashiras were beautiful enough for Daki to eat, and the rest 15 were not so and then Gyutaro ate them. Gyutaro always spoils Daki, so if Daki wants to eat someone, Gyutaro definitely gives his preys.😅
@@mastixencounter Indeed this is complicated.😅 Muzan said "You killed 7 Hashiras" to Daki, and Gyutaro said "I ate 15 and so did my sister 7". I wonder Demons have some kind of a rule that "Only you can eat whom you have killed". If so Daki killed 7 Hashiras only herself without her brother's aid, and ate them. If not, Daki could eat hashiras whom Gyutaro had finished off. So I thought Gyutaro would give any of 22 hashiras for his beloved sister if she want.😊 And, I just doubt how Daki only herself could kill any Hashiras by that weakness.🤣
A cena de anime mais extraordinária que eu já vi na minha vida !!! não querendo desmerecer outros grandes animes, porém quem acompanha Demon Slayer sabe da emoção que essa cena causou 👍
Tengen Uzui's heart beats like a drum. And the rhythm is done by Gyutaro with his Blood technique. Music makers are savages! Listen to the episode again.
i was sweating the whole episode when i watched it 😂 from this season, this is probably my favorite scene. daki and her brother gave them one hell of a fight. but i am looking forward to see their fight with akaza and musan.
One of the reasons I love your reaction is that.. your reactions always seems so genuine, And I'm thankful for that because sometimes when I had bad day and you uploaded new reaction video I couldn't help myself to watch it asap because it always brings back my mood. I smiled so wide when you guys enjoying some scenes in the shows, cried so hard when I rewatch some sad scenes with you, and laugh so hard when Ange say something silly again! Haha 16:37 is the best genuine reaction from this episode and I don't know how many times I repeated that. It's not just in this episode or in this series. I love seeing Carlie's reaction everytime she got scared or surprised or mad. So cute! At the end of the day, I LOVE YOUR REACTION AND I WILL CONTINUE TO DO SO. Love from, Indonesia🇲🇨 Ps : Idk if you read this silly comment but please excuse my poor english. Hope you get what I'm trying to say lol
Just another fun fact. The original manga panel for Gyotarou v Tengen was only 2-4 panels. Ufotable went above & beyond to put more flashiness to this scene.
This arc was quite literally an emotional rollercoaster. You think they've beaten Daki, Gyutaro comes out. They've almost got Gyutaro, he outmaneuvers them. The gang gets taken out, but they come back better than ever. Not only are the stakes high, the emotions are wild and the animation is even wilder. As much as I loved Akaza and Rengoku, it was very clear that fight was super one sided. Akaza only started to really try at the end when he needed to get away from the sun. But this fight felt so much more impactful because things were pretty evenly matched for the most part. Side note: I love Gyutaro just patting Tanjiro's head and telling him to protect Nezuko. Obviously the moment is broken by the finger breaking, but you can definitely see that Gyutaro understands the sentiment of wanting to protect your sister.
Gyutaro would've knocked them all out, if he didn't give some of his power to his sister, you know. It wasn't gonna be even if that happened. Aside from that, epic episode and fight.

9:08 Excellent reaction, Carlie
14:45 Excellent reaction, heartwarming-duo-time
15:31 Excellent ear, Ange
Hope you guys enjoyed the crazy animation in this ep! What a fight 😆 Our boys have come such a long way, but the Hashira are still on a different level...
Excellent
if you watch frequently animes (like lot of people and me), you're not surprised if Ufotable animes well fight scenes... they already made lot of FATE with a lot of fights with weapons.... so i wasnt surprised at all of the demon slayer's animation because I know Ufotable works and FATE was already really well animated (especially the movies)
I find it weird to judge people's reactions lol especially to when broken fingers are shown
@@Android_17_ Specifically, it's that Carlie and Ange's reactions come across as sincere- they don't appear to be hyped up, overly dramatic, or like they're fishing for what they think the audience wants. I could be wrong, but that's the vibe I get. It's why they're one of two react channels I even remotely follow (and subscribe to on Patreon).
TLDR: An honest reaction even to something like broken fingers is.. refreshing, in a weird kind of way, compared to what most other react content creators give us.
@@WhoDiedWhatCorn I know but rating reactions as if they're a school paper using words like "excellent" is still weird. They are my favorite reaction channel too lol
All I will say is that in my opinion, mappa is the best animation studio in the world
Because the folks at Ufotable are OUT OF THIS WORLD, seriously
That has to be the best animated sequence ever. Everything about is perfect
the "best" is debatable and these studios mainly adapt shonen manga, specifically the action genre
action is just a fraction of genres out there, and each studio has its own speciality
kyoani for slice of life
david production for sound design
shaft for rom com
A1 for novel adaptations
sunrise for mecha
and studio trigger has its own things
I haven't even mentioned studios that specifically deal with theatre release such as ghibli, comix waves, etc
I mean sure it all comes down to personal preferences so I respect your opinion but I'm just saying that there are so many amazing studios out there
So wrong...on so many levels...but I get your excitement since it seems you don't know much
But there already two great answers in the comments
@@marcioamaral7511 I know I know xd
that's exactly why I said "in my opinion", but it doesn't surprised me that people still came after me, this is the internet after all haha
IN MY OPINION, that's the best animated scene I've seen, if you've seen a better one, I'm open to suggestions!! Not just anime btw
@@Metalprofile My condolences. Sorry from the internet.
I personally agree with your opinion.
@@cabbage_cat does a1 refers to a1 pictures?
the animation quality is god level
This Episode no doubt, has one of the greatest anime fights in history
The music, the build up, the Animation
Just stunning
Probably one of the best episodes of anything I've watched, I rewatch it ever so often it's that good imo, love you two reacting
my very very favorite moment in this episode is Tengen screaming "we're going for the win!" what a treat to see him charge into fight like that :D
I think this is my favourite fight out of all other anime fight scenes, i get hyped everytime i see it
El momento mas esperado por toda Latinoamérica Unida!!!
I'll never stop being impressed by Ange's ear for music. My eyes were trained on the animation and the dialogue that I didn't notice these nice details they added in. Ufotable is truly an amazing studio!
Also 32:05. The moments when Carlie admonishes Ange for his simping (admiring the female form) are just hilarious XD.
tengen fight the whole battle under posion...and the finale battle without one arm ....and even after that he lost one eye too...but didn't give up..........................he did'nt give up just like tanjiro...and thats the real fact i like this anime too much....no one gives up🔥🔥
I just realized that what Gyutaro said about Tanjiro’s relentless will to take him down is a call back to his first encounter with Giyuu when he almost beheaded him with the flying axe after he was knocked out 🥲
Love how Inosuke just casually floats at the same speed as zenitsu's godspeed
2 months late reply but Zenitsu mentioned in the episode that he was slowing down, he also mentioned it in the episode. Will also just add that in the manga (since it's more detailed) that Inosuke also actually came from the opposite direction to be able to meet them and cut Daki's neck.
The plot armor in this final fight is absolutely insane, but it's still amazing
The cliffhanger to this ep was so good! The audio mix and the look of terror on tengen's face is so well done!
Tengens face and screaming during that scene was crazy.
I was hooked instantly. This episode had me hollering at the TV with her. We can't wait for the theatrical realese of the next season.
Really love how you guys paying attentiin to the details in the background music! The placement and arrangement help drive this story to the next level!
There is actually a little trailer for season 3 and they said the season gets out in March 2023 I think. I'd love to watch your reaction to it. Btw Tengen's VA is the same who did Captain Ginyu from Dragon Ball Z in Japanese 😁
Pretty sure we don’t have a release date for season 3, but we can hope for march
there's an upcoming announcement in December
@@cheezusfries3.010 yup, hype for that

Awsome video guys, clear you genuinely enjoy it and that energy gets trough and it's awesome.
The first reactor that complimented Tanjiro's keen intellect. Saying that he is smart is very observant. Many reactors misses this observation.
let’s go we all have been waiting for this moment - great reaction as always 🎉
The first few scenes are probably the most beautiful, showing that no matter what it is impossible for evil to enter the kingdom of human spirit
Absolute Masterpiece! Amazing reaction guys!
Thanks a lot for your great reaction...this anime so crazy epic for me too. Next year last other demons voice actors represent ?! ...i really enjoyed your video.
Thank you so much for the donation! Glad you enjoyed the video
I'd like to add that the chinese character for the word 'deflect' also have another meaning for 'playing string instrument (sawing like movement)'. When Uzui completed his score, he was literally 'reading' and 'playing' all attacks. Very clever
They really be giving us the most stressful episode and at the end they are like " ok so here is the taisho secret" lmao
I'm so glad I didn't see that after my first time watching that episode.
Zenitsu is the real goat! When we need him, he delivers. He is there …always!!!
“He used his muscles to force stop his heart”
Ange:”Some sort of recovery breathing”
Me: I don’t think you can breathe when your heart is stopped😂
"The moon looked like the sun there" You've resumed it perfectly Ange, perfectly !
16:36 Ange had such an Australian reaction 😂
This masterpiece of an episode 🔥 might be the best animated thing I’ve ever seen
This episode is legit insane! Loved the reaction!
Thank you for this beautiful reaction! my favourite so far, what an episode!
“You can’t start that off with a Nin Nin” 😭😭💀Im dead 19:54
Tengens cover gives me goosebumps, that's crazy man
Side note: the scene with Tanjiro an Gyutaro when we they both amp up is one of my favorite scenes in all of anime.
You gotta give credit where credit is due and Daki's and Gyutaro's voice actor's give a 110% in their performances. 😁
I can't wait to watch season 3 next year. I hope your both safe down south and that the recent heavy rains haven't effected you.
Keep up the fun reactions and take care. From sunny Queensland 👍🏽
When I first watched this and saw Zenitsu use Godlike Speed, I got CRAZY chills 😂
"Daki's not ready for the Thunderclap!"
You two weren't ready either haha! 🤣🤣🤣
When Zenitsu says he can only do it twice, he means EVER. It tears his body apart to go that fast. Especially his legs.

This is the best fight in anime history
Another comment on another channel said that in real life the red light district suffered a fire from which it never recovered. A fire that they didn't know how it started.
Personally I love that tie in!
one thing the anime never mentions is zenitsu was moving around the area where inosuke was and he wasn’t going in a straight line and he was also losing speed, that’s why inosuke was able to catch up with him
im watching anime for over 15 years now and this battle is by far the most jaw dropping shit ive ever seen
I love how genuine you guys react
This reaction is flashy as Tengen.
Season 3 is predicted to start between April-July 2023, but more info will be annouce on 10th December.
This episode was masterpiece
17:05 first tease of the mark in action
I think, Gyutaro devoured 15 Hashiras whereas Daki did 7, means only 7 hashiras were beautiful enough for Daki to eat,
and the rest 15 were not so and then Gyutaro ate them.
Gyutaro always spoils Daki, so if Daki wants to eat someone, Gyutaro definitely gives his preys.😅
Not true. Gyutaro had to step in when those other hashiras overpowered her like how it happened in this case
@@mastixencounter
Indeed this is complicated.😅
Muzan said "You killed 7 Hashiras" to Daki, and Gyutaro said "I ate 15 and so did my sister 7".
I wonder Demons have some kind of a rule that "Only you can eat whom you have killed".
If so Daki killed 7 Hashiras only herself without her brother's aid, and ate them.
If not, Daki could eat hashiras whom Gyutaro had finished off.
So I thought Gyutaro would give any of 22 hashiras for his beloved sister if she want.😊
And, I just doubt how Daki only herself could kill any Hashiras by that weakness.🤣
It was great to see so many of Ange reacting like an innocent child! !
This is how you do reactions. All reactors should use this as the model. Avoiding copyright while allowing us to hear the media is worth it.
I think Carlie edits the video
I love you guys commentary 😂 you guys are very entertaining! Keep it up and can’t wait for more
A cena de anime mais extraordinária que eu já vi na minha vida !!! não querendo desmerecer outros grandes animes, porém quem acompanha Demon Slayer sabe da emoção que essa cena causou 👍
Tengen Uzui's heart beats like a drum. And the rhythm is done by Gyutaro with his Blood technique. Music makers are savages!
Listen to the episode again.
Before his very last second of decapitation, gyotaro released rotating circular slashes
Praying mantis piece of shi had me dying😂😂😂😂😂
We'll probably never get a let's go like that from ange ever again

I love watching people react to this anime. The story just gets better and better, just wait... swordsmith village gonna be wild...

because she was kokushibo descenden
@@akilmgk4117 don't you mean he. Muichiro is a boy.
i was sweating the whole episode when i watched it 😂 from this season, this is probably my favorite scene. daki and her brother gave them one hell of a fight. but i am looking forward to see their fight with akaza and musan.
Haha

Love how Angie saying pie ace of shit didnt get beeped but Carlie did😂😂 also I started having tears when tengen saved tanjiro
Just another fun fact. The original manga panel for Gyotarou v Tengen was only 2-4 panels. Ufotable went above & beyond to put more flashiness to this scene.
One of the greatest episodes in anime history honestly. What an insane fight, just amazing!
The way they confirm Tanjiro's scar is not because he fell into a pot, and the hair transformation, too, urhhhhgg. Chills e v e r y t i m e.
The cliffhangers in this season are off the chain. They really want to give everybody a damn heart attack!!
Carlies *YES* AT 1:28 to 1:38 lol and how Angelo just accepts her reasoning haha 😄 😆 🤣
