Before commenting, consider that, no, your 500-dollar AR isn't better or somehow more innovative. Better for YOU and your actual needs? Very possible. That is certainly not a judgment. Not everyone (or most) needs what this gun offers. However, to pretend that a hard-use, battle-proven AR made by KAC doesn't shine for a specific purpose is a cringe-worthy cope.
And yes, you can swap out a pistol grip in about 3-4 minutes.

I'm curious how expensive this will be with that fancy barrel. This looks to be quite a substantial upgrade over the current generation of SR15 which still feature a gov profile barrel which is definitely suboptimal.
Regarding your description--lol, I love those comments. I always ask what components they use to get a $500 AR that's "justasgood" as (insert expensive AR manufacturer here) and its always some BS. I do have a couple of AR uppers I built that are probably on par with this Knights but I'd still like to have a KAC. The ones I have that might be on par use Criterion barrels tho so its not like they were cheap by any means. I don't think they'd be on par with the KS1 tho, just the older generation.
the KS-4 etc wont have the dimpled barrel. I'd guess retail is similar to what an SR-15 Mod 2 retails for.
I've always loved Knights armaments stuff especially the SR-15 but damn... That dude looks like he washed up onto Cocoa Beach just in time for shot show after doing a line of columbian bam bam

KAC finally caught up with DD, LMT, and Aero with the lower. 😂
KAC fucked up by not making URX 3.1 rails anymore. Those were actually so sick and wouls continue to sell amazingly
So Knights finally caught up with LMT and Aero Precision with the lower. Now a KAC lower will finally be worth it. MAYBE. We'll see.
Handguard without the QD insert is a downgrade, though I like the anti-rotation bit on the top rail.
Also dimpled barrel is cool, but I don't see the actual value in one.
Thicker barrel without as much weight. Ya know, for those burn down tests people seem to care about
the KS-1 barrel is a heavy tapered barrel, think criterion core but heavier. the 13.7 KS-1 is actually slightly heavier than the SR-15 Mod 2, so it'd be even heavier without the dimpling
Why dont make the dimpled barrels for the whole KS line?!

The MOD contract has an option for up to 200,000 rifles. Assuming the initial rifles work out as well as expected, it will be rolled out over the next 5 to 10 years as the new service rifle
The biggest delay will be working out the new rifle drill!

Don’t even know why they’re there. This guys needs to go to their warehouse and help make these things. No way they’ve been OOS for 10 plus years and have done nothing to ramp up production.

Nah, they’ll be out of stock. It took me 4 years to get an SR15. Which, mind you, is absolutely insane. They come out and they go to the influencers and industry people. All us regular people don’t get a shot lol

It's $20 and everyone likes their own grip. A2 grip is quite honestly fine though. Feels weirdly comfortable to me personally but I tend to replace them for BCM.
It's a good thing you can change it out in a few mins with the grip of your preference. Like everyone else already does. 😏
Bro just swap it out with whatever grip you want. As long as the A2 grip isn't locktighted it should be relatively easy.

Lol. My $600 M&P 15 came with an integrated trigger guard. Same with Aero. This thing will retail for $5-6k+, IF it is ever available to the public (if it is, it will always be out of stock and go for $8k on gunbroker). No thank you. Possible to piece out and build similar quality yourself for half the price.
