The Kickapoo Creek festival took place about 20 miles from where I grew up. I was nine at the time, but I remember my grandparents locking the doors out of fear that hoards of murderous hippies would swarm the area. On a different note, do you know if this was the same lineup as on the Live in NYC recording? The guitar sounds almost more like Buzz Feiten's hard-edged acid tone, unlike Ralph Wash's softer, jazz-influenced style. Either way, this is a gem!
I'm in heaven!!!! thanks so much for posting this.
