What a find !! absolutely vintage butter, i would love to hear the original unedited version. My opinion Paul Butterfield is still the greatest harp player that ever lived.

It's kind of funny Call Me crazy kids but I have to say when I hear Goldie McJohn laying down those cool jazz grooves on the keys I almost hear a Brian auger vibe.
does anybody else who's a fan of him and and the Oblivion Express the beginning is it starts building up sounds like an oblivion Express groove with Brian
    Maybe I'm wrong

Apart from your CD "Angel's Breath" from 1990 one of the best songs you have written. Hollywood Blues, almost a bit mystical. Awesome, you were only 20 at the time, and before that you'd played in the group McJohn with Goldy McJohn and John Mayall... and you'd been in the studio with Rick Derringer.

@@MegaAnthonys I also like your guitar playing on "Sky is crying" very much, very soulful. Too bad the recordings aren't complete, also the part with Peter McGraw on vocals is missing... I wonder if Rick Reed even knows that the Baton Rouge concert has surfaced again?

@NorthSouth2071 That’s a very rare recording of Southern Pacific with Paul Butterfield, The Kingfish, Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
    The musicians are
    Paul Butterfield - harmonica, vocals
Goldy McJohn - organ (Steppenwolf, McJohn)
Dallas Taylor - drums (Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, Manasas, Clearlite)
    Tony Flynn - guitars (McJohn)
Peter McGraw - vocals (Neil Young, Gordon Lightfoot)
    Rick Reed - bass
Tony Flynn let me know that they recorded one and a half hours with a mobile truck and video crew. Do you know where the rest of this recording is? Thank you so much for uploading this gem, we would love to hear more! Best wishes
