It can happen to anybody it happened to me, I don't hear Eckhart Tolle talking about God that much even though he said he couldn't explain it and didn't know what happened until he learned about the ancient teachings of Buddhists. When it happens you know it, it feels like somebody opens your head and turns on a light, you're overwhelmed with love & peace and you feel connected or oneness with everything and everybody, everybody's different but I felt euphoric for about 5 months and your body vibrates, so many things happen. It changes your whole life, the way you see people, the universe, God... and I was an atheist when it happened.
Wow amazing story , were you looking for it, did u started listening to Ekart and doing his practice and this happened . I think this is something that happens to some not everybody can feel this power or receive this gift .
Eckhart does refer to the teachings of Jesus quite a lot.

I love reading your description of the euphoria which comes with the shift. It was the same for me. My past fell away and future ceased to exist because I was so fresh and new. No thoughts to contaminate the space of Now. I also felt an overwhelming peace, love, joy, connectedness with all things. Did the awakening start with a vibration for you also? In May 2014 I was riding my push bike listening to my first Eckhart talk on headphones when he started talking about hands and feet and the inner energy field. My arms started vibrating so much that I thought I was riding on a bumpy path. No the path was dead smooth and my forearms were vibrating like a kind of electric shock. An electric shift through the arms. The mind went quiet and the peace was unbelievable. Truly.
I didn't expect it to be permanent but this state has persisted and allowed me to be the space for many challenges I would not have otherwise been able to meet with the 'old'
Consciousness.
I love to hear other people's accounts of their experience with their 'own' awakening.

@@markhmcleod64 Yess!! I could feel my whole body vibrate!! I only told a couple of people, they already thought I was crazy because I was telling everybody God Is real but it's love... I could feel myself vibrate for the whole 5 months I was euphoric and I saw a video about 2 weeks later "they" found that we have 2 crystals in our pineal gland that vibrate when we're in a deep meditative state, I'm assuming that's why, our frequency had to be high after experiencing an awakening. So you're still in that state? After the the 1st five months I think about it every day and I've learned so much but I haven't had that feeling of peace and oneness since then.💜🔆
“The old consciousness still has it’s gravitational pull” …… Boy, that’s an understatement! The Ego-Mind definitely does NOT want to relinquish control. It does NOT want to just disappear. It wants to be front and center and have complete control!

Many years ago I had an amazing spiritual awakening, I wanted to die because life no longer meant anything, but that day, in a fit of desperation, I asked God in whom I no longer believed, to help me because if not, I was going to die. When I stood up I was another person, content, happy, with the ability to relate to people with qualities of wisdom that I never had.
Did many of your friendship end? Do your old friends seem apart, C?
This is what happened to me too. In summer 2020 I was suicidal. Then I had this sudden awakening where I saw a bright sunset and felt completely at peace, joyful and connected to god and the universe. It lasted about 15 minutes I think. I've seen the world differently since then. Unfortunately I am feeling depressed again as I'm grieving my loved ones who died recently. I'm trying to make sense of things, feel my grief and find some sort of path forward.
My awakening accelerated after my mother died 3 yrs ago. I no longer feel suicidal but full of love for this world and my purpose in it ! ❤
How did you deal with your mother's passing? Did awakening eleviate the pain?

Interesting because I had spontaneous awakening too, in 1978. I had just started Martial Arts training and was learning meditation and once day while riding my bike I got this intense flash and for a microsecond saw how everything really is rather than the illusion of human perception, I peaked beyond the veil and realized who I am and what my purpose is and have basically been training ever since. There was much more like psychic abilities suddenly opening up, the ability to heal myself and others through opening up to the flows of chi or prana that we all have access too. Anyway very interesting..I love hearing about people's awakening stories

I had what you describe as a satori. It came upon me suddenly and lasted for a few minutes. I was not in a spiritual practice. I was emptying the trash. Suddenly I saw and felt the air entirely differently. I experienced WONDER!
Happened to me also. I was at work. I wasnt in spiritual practice, but I had always sought higher consciousness and to rid myself of depression. When it happened, it cleared ALL my traumas, showed me my lifes purpose, and elevated my consciousness.
That bell ringing at the end really touched me. How lucky I feel that Eckhart has been my teacher for so many years.

I had no idea who is it he and why I listen to him.
it's felt amazing .
After 3 days my kundalini woke up to.
For 7 months I was I incredible bliss and love thatit's impossibleto explain or to understand only via experience .
I cry just listening Mr tolle.
Now year and 7 months past and I can say that my life totally changed .
I'm in permanent peace .
And enjoy life tremendously.

Dear Eckhart I came across your teachings some months ago. I realised that I was ruled by my thoughts and was very reactionary. I have been following your teachings ever since. Today, when you spoke about a recognition people have when hearing the teachings, that something within was already aware of this knowledge, I burst into tears, the truth of those words hit me with all the force of a rifle bullet! I am shaken. I keep you and your teachings in my daily life now. Thank you so much for giving me a new direction

In January 2017, someone sent me a link to Eckhart. I ended up in London, on a park bench, like Eckhart, this year, in January.
Five years had passed.
And I kept thinking " it has been NOW a zillion times since 2017".
Thank you Eckhart for making London and lockdown so easy.
Now I am in Africa. Someone offered a plane ticket and I packed 3 bags, gave the rest to charity and flew off.
The NOW continues and I no longer worry about my daily bread or what the day will be like.
I jump out of bed at 6.30 am and watch the sun rise with a hot beverage.
Now is beautiful.
Now is here.
Yes, I am curious about next year and I see the global shifts.
Yet the Now carries me and I have no idea if I will even be on the planet next year.
A friend of mine repeated sth we've all heard before:
Even if knew this was my last day and I'd never see this place (a garden)
Still would I plant this plant this or that...
I tried to remember how it feels like to be a children below 4 years old.
Back then I didn't know any fancy stuff let alone my name.
My experience as a children was actually more like observer / pure presence.
I think that's why true spiritual teaching is instantly recognizable.
We've already experienced it in our early years, but forget it due to conditioning.
From outside observation, we might see children as having some sorts of ego.
But what I remember from the direct experience as children, there's actually no ego.
Only presence.

I find the talks about childhood memories interesting as I have clear and accurate memories from the time I was a very small child.. corroborated by my mother who was aghast that I had any memories from that time at all as she said I was still a baby.. don’t know why I have these memories but I do. 🤷♂️

@@antetalent7983 The old self I refer to is the person I was before the shift.
I was tormented by my thoughts of the past and the uncertain future.
I was never able to be present. I was suffering, as ET would say from a very unhappy life situation.
When the mind stops, the old conditioned self has nothing to hold onto. In my case it just dissolved, fell away. 🌿🙏💙

@@antetalent7983 Well, when I 'shifted' I was listening to an Eckhart Tolle talk. It was a three hour talk, called 'Living your purpose'. In it he talks about feeling the aliveness in the inner body.
It's a wonderful talk full of humour and many different pointers to being present.
And with many of his talks it has an energy field that you enter as you listen.
So I would recommend listening to longer talks by ET. 🙏🌿💙

It's always NOW with Eckhart
Yes, many are ready to awaken... When I first started to expand my consciousness, The Power of Now was a popular book. Just even picking up the book in the store had a beautiful feeling. I wasn't fully ready until a few years later when I listened to Eckhart's Stillness Speaks on audio. By then, I was ready, and a cascade of events unfolded...
in 2004? was in a thrift store that had a book section, basically a corner with 5 or 6 tall book shelves, random books packed in no particular order, according to size i think,
in middle of shelf was Power of Now,
&
when i looked at the copy could feel that it had a unique vibe, thumbed thru it,
took it home & read more, my thought was "yeah, it all seems true, but doesn't seem to be anything new here that i haven't heard before somewhere, it's making sense, but a lot of new agey stuff is sprinkled with truths..."
but it stayed with my few other books & id peruse it from time to time, then in 2012 life got more difficult, & i found a copy of a New Earth, at another thrift store, & with that book it had me from page 1,
i loaned it to a friend going thru a violent relationship breakup & she was so grateful for this book that she got me a CD player & copied some CDs of Tolle seminars/speaking events & there was no going back, hearing his voice made me know he is authentic, this transmits, yes?
these days, when i look thru the Power of Now, i hear Eckharts voice when i read,
& it is just as he describes in this video, it wakes me to new insights, like in a wave, then the wave receeds a bit, then another layer is revealed, receeds,
but the seed that was planted, who knows when, is very much still alive, & as i watch these youtube videos (since ive only had a smart phone the past 20 months) it has been so good to see this humble man and hear his voice, he is a blessing to so many here...& wherever people are ready for the message to get thru their crumbling ego walls, ya?🙏🌱🐾👣🌿🕊️🌎💟

@Lucy Rane he does it a lot, always adding that it's our old ego ways that led to this gradual collapse and that's exactly why we have to find or rather found a new earth

Rumi the big mystic and famous poet also underwent this change after meeting Shams Tabriz, he called this stage a return to the origin. He says that we must consciously suffer and let go of what we think is important, such as money, romantic love, high education, fame, and prestige. He says that this stage will not be without suffering, but it will have great rewards. The source of all of Rumi's poems is this separation from the homeland and the original home and the way to return to it through the removal of ties

I experienced awakening suddenly and completely unexpectedly. I had never held spiritual beliefs or done spiritual research, however I had been meditating for the past six months simply to understand and be more aware of my mind. I was on a walk, and suddenly, I cried. Then I laughed. Since then, the world has been light.
When I forget that my life is now and return to this life situation, I turn to my laptop and watch one of your videos. It is amazing to me how I can come back to the present. It works. "oh, it's now." Love your sense of humor.

I had this revelation when I was very young but then forgot about it. I remembered it from time to time and then when older I realized what it was. Now hearing Eckhart is talking about it I feel either validated or I understand better

I was listening to him read the power of now as an audiobook today. I noticed I felt anxiety in my chest. I was asking myself why am I feeling like this. Then what he was saying about the now suddenly made sense. I was living in the future and worrying about the work I had planned. Inventing problems and it was awful. As soon as I realised this mistake all my anxious thoughts and tension melted away. Now I get it and I feel free.

"The old consciousness still has it's gravitational pull...." All I can say to that is: "For Crying Out Loud!" An American expression, I believe. An expression of frustration. All well and good to be "no-one going anywhere doing anything". My experience of "no-one going anywhere doing anything" is "no-one going anywhere doing anything"! I fear I could easily step in front of a car, all oblivious! The disappeared one thinks it's a good idea to keep an eye out for tigers lurking in the jungle, for cars running up onto the sidewalk, for miscreants wanting to do me harm. And the disappeared one seems to have a pretty good point! As it stands it seems I can either be a disappeared one... "no-one going anywhere doing anything" or I can be a body, a person, moving thru a dangerous world and watching out for itself. For crying out loud! I consider myself a mystic because I am thoroughly mystified!
What I love about the Now teachings is the realisation that you can BE, or enter the BEingness at any moment and in any state
I was in a lot of pain and had suicidal thoughts. One day I fell to my knees on the floor of my bathroom and begged God, in whom I no longer believed, to help me because if not I was going to die. I don't know if I was there a minute or more, I felt like I had woken up, I got up feeling very good. I went to my kitchen, prepared my breakfast in a very special state of tranquility and joy, I felt very well. When I analyze what happened to me years later, I realize that my mind was no longer producing tsunamis of negative thoughts, it had stopped. I understood it after reading The Power of Now. What I experienced changed my life but very far from what happened to Eckhart. A few months later my character defects began to appear again, but I was never the same as before, a depressed, scared, tremendously insecure person with suicidal ideas. The question, why me and not my father who committed suicide. Today I believe that there is something that I could call Universal Consciousness, a non-punishing power of love, which is part of life, which works miracles, provides, heals, enlightens, a source of love that is part of life. I think we're evolving to live like Eckhart in paradise on earth, and that's how we're all going to be at some point in the future. As Eckhart says in A New Earth, one day a few flowers appeared and then the world was filled with flowers. It is evolution. That's how I interpret it.

The reason you became as you are now is to be a light to others on the same path. After a long process of 67 years I am going through the same process that you expounded on here.
I found you book from a RUclips channel called new world allstar, and Kurt suggested i watch samadhi part 1-3 and read the power of now and I knew i was ready bc it resignated with me and I enjoyed watching the movies and reading the book. I am forever grateful to all of my spiritual teachers who have helped me on this journey. thank you for all of your teachings they are so helpful and easy to understand

For me I jus feel A connection to Eckart , it’s his presence that makes me ask hundreds of questions of his life and how blessed he is that it happened at 30 years and not 60 years that he could have written so many great books and his peacefulness makes me marvel . Also he has such great humor and laughter that it jus comes out without force . I hope this is going to be my journey and I am able to meet him in real life in one of his seminars . For now I can enjoy his videos very peacefully in my quiet times .

That was a very nice video. I love the peaceful ending, just sitting, because it highlights for me how I would be clicking off any other video I was watching if the main subject had ended. But with Eckhart’s videos, the underlying purpose is to sit and just commune in awareness. Our physical realities are all different, but we are sharing a similar view when we watch Eckhart. He, and any other person/activity where in their presence we allow our awareness to be unveiled, are also integrated parts of ourselves. Eckhart’s awakening was unique to him, but when we engage with him we all share in that non-event of conscious awareness.

I had such an episode, but there was no thought just utter confusion. I had a panic attack while in the train, and all of a sudden it was like I went out of my body and observed myself having the panic attack (I was right behind myself, though strangely the back of the seat was absent) but i fell completely at peace. It was just a few seconds but it stayed with me forever. This does not mean everything was over and my panic attacks were gone. Nope, I had to go through a long long healing process only to learn 15 years later that was "I" and the panicking me was the "self" exactly through this story of Eckart . I still struggle with it sometimes

I have been describing my brief moments of feeling the essence of enlightenment as a “knowing”. It automatically feels as an acknowledgment of truth.

Interesting how so many people in the comments seem to already be self-realized. The masters say that a self-realized person never explicitly states that they are realized or awakened. Eckhart, a true master, himself is careful not to word it like that. So to the hundreds of realized people watching and commenting below, let's try to see through the delusion of imagining that we are fully awakened. 🙏

This is what I was thinking.
One common occurrence is for people to have an ‘aha moment’ and then pretend to themselves they are the next ‘Buddha’!
We CAN have intuition of this selfless Self, but it comes to us as metaphor, which then has to be ‘interpreted’ with the pre-conditioned state.. And THEN begins a very lengthy process of de-conditioning, while the integration of the new state is actualised..
It is only possible to ‘awaken’ to that which actually, and necessarily, exists..

The French writer Balzac who suffered from frequent depressions, wondered if there were one or two people inside him, he realized that one person wanted to act in one way and another person wanted to act in another way, and he was very distressed not being able to understand, it was as if he had two personalities. They were the voices of the ego and probably that of conscience. I read this in the book Variety of Spiritual Experiences, by William James.
I arrived on the other shore 1st of this month Nov 2023.. it’s all new to me.. watching guidance videos daily.. now finding balance in my now..
Could use a guide to ask questions but not everyone can afford Eckhart’s subscription.. so I’m making do with whatever I can find ..

I had a spontaneous awakening in 2014. I was having the same struggles as Echart (sort of) and I was pushed 100% into the present moment of now. Faster than a blink of an eye. I have questions that I wish I could speak with him personally, about. I need someone else who is awake… and “advanced” in their awakened state, to talk to. So, many people are in the “cognitive now”

There's a channel in RUclips called sam the illusionist. He channels entities as angels and other E.T races. In one of his channelings they said that what happened to Eckhart was a "soul swapping" his first soul was changed for a portion of the soul of Archangel Michael ❤
For me hearing Eckhart speaking is as listening to the teaching of our loved Archangel Michael guiding humanity to the new golden era 🥰

To boil it down, Tolle's ego died because it was so unhappy. After his ego died, all that was left his the true-self, which is hidden in most of us.

I’ve been on a gradual path to awakening for a couple years now, but I have had moments of peace and enlightenment where I was not bothered by thoughts or mental constructs. It was amazing and I have been striving for that level of peace, I am a lot further than I was when I started that’s for sure.
I had just been asking myself if I will ever have edited all the video material when at the same time I add new video clips to my collection which want to be edited - and then you appeared in my recommendations, gently reminding me that I have already arrived in the now. Thank you 🥰

Spiritual growth is much like human development (or growth). We learn we move forward, we err and circle back, then move forward more.
