Guys I apologize, I’m just realizing that I never explained what a flam or an accent was in this lesson. I like to teach things as if a beginner is watching! Sorry about that for the beginners that are watching!
Yo man that was all butter. I indeed have realized the beauty and power of learning flams. Actually, years ago, I created my own flam exercise called the Flam Family (don't ask; LOL). It went from easy to hard (regular flams at the beginning to flamacue at the end). Basically, I needed a way to speed up time on my drum journey. I had a strange feeling that creating an exercise full of certain flams would help me out. Did it for over a year on the drum pad. It gave me chops, ghost notes, a strong sense of time (macro and micro), and more. It was nice to see this video. It reminded me of that experience.

I understand what you’re saying, but that looks like the accent is on the first note and it’s not. The accent is on the second note of the flam.
