It could've been quieter if it had a plexi panel, then the buttons could mount on the softer plexi/acrylic and not directly to the metal body. Pretty much all retail fightsticks also have a metal panel for the stick and buttons to mount, but with an extra plexi layer that absorbs some of the impact/noise, granted they are not rigid unibody designs like the Victrix.
I have OBSFS silent buttons in my Hori Switch and Dreamcast fightsticks. Love them. I hear Sanwa has a new version of the silent button coming out. (Left comment before end of vid)
NOBODY MENTIONS THE SLIGHTLY ANGLED WRIST REST!!! great video none the less ALSO Sanwa is working on OBSF-30 silent gen 2s! THEY WILL NOT USE FOAM PADS ANYMORE! NO MORE MUSH!!! They're doing what mechanical switches are doing. The points of contact on where the plunger is hitting the button's housing is changed to a rubber material. They have also reduced the amount of area where the points of contact are! I have no clue when we're getting them but hopefully summer time!!! (commented before finishing vid) lol
The travel distance of the button is called the "throw". The Qanba Drone was the loudest stick I've ever owned, and I put silent Hiyabusa buttons in it. It helped, but same situation. The tactile feedback is strange
I really like gamer fingers over Sanwa silent buttons. Sanwa silents feel like they stop short as you hit the foam. The gamer fingers though, sometimes the top cap's stem catches against the inside box of the microswitch and adds a very noticeable step when pressing the button on the bottom. A quick file job fixes the issue, but it's an annoying thing you may need to do.
Why? It's not like it has any of the fancy features open Xbox One Elite controller is it just the amount of plastic it's using to make it so big that's costing so much or what?
@@bland9876 its designed to be even more ergonomic and easier to modify. It uses a quick release lever shaft, as well as a quick access backdoor with super easy to manage braided cables along with quick release plugs. It also has some cool stylized rgb lighting that syncs up to button presses. Also, because the top is aluminum, you can get it engraved. all in all, it wont necessarily perform any better than a fight stick for half the price. This is a luxury product that looks good and is easy to work with in terms of modding, But it definitely isn't going to improve gameplay like a xb1 elite controller will.
This is essentially my dream stick lol I'm gonna stick with my modded MayFlash F300 until I know I can get one. Though I prefer Seimitsu sticks and I love the idea of removable sticks, so if that's ever possible, It's a huge win for me lol

i highly recommend trying out gamerfinger buttons, but only if your ready to go down that road of customizing. if you think arcade stick nerds are obssessive, gamerfinger uses cherry mx switches which theres TONS of options. i have them in my hitbox for movement, but i got gateron 35g silent switches then i did the ball bearing mod to shorten the throw and i can korean backdash for days in tekken. i use silent pads in my sanwa for the attacks and you get used to them in exchange for being able to play late at night
I'm amazed how you make the review objective. Lots of stick reviews out there are subjective opinions, "it felt great" or "you might be better off with this". With your review I can judge myself. すごい、ありがとう
Gamerfinger buttons are the best buttons ever. The choice of the "silent" cherry mx reds would feel alright but maybe not as silent as the sanwas. I like the tactile cherry mx blues, personally. Definitely worth the money!
Really do love that stick. I’m shopping currently but I’m going with Fighting Edge sanwa custom because I need the Noir layout. Stick/button distance and noir layout are big features for me. My first stick was the HRAPV3SA and I moved on to the N3SA. Need a new stick because since I got the N3, I feel the buttons are defunct. Maybe it’s the build of the stick but they never felt as proper as my V3. I was at a Barcade and they have an arcade cabinet there (some shooter game) and the buttons felt so good. Maybe it was loud in there but they felt like the first time I pressed my V3 buttons. Really do liken this stick though. That huggable demonstration really makes it stand out. Easy to carry and hold. The stick also comes out is perfect too. Best stick tbh.
And he's even modding it. For me if you're buying an ultra expensive piece of gear, you prob have everything you want from it, so i don't see the point
When I bought my MadCatz sticks I swapped out all the buttons too. Of the 16 face buttons I removed 3 of them broke. =( Good thing they're reasonably cheap to replace. I also bought the Switch RAP4 based on your recommendation. Won't even dare to think of replacing the buttons.
Nihongo the thinner pad you are looking for is the Paradise arcade little kahuna sanwa insert. It silences sanwa buttons but you don't lose the feeling of the button. Trust me get it!
You dont even need to buy a whole new set of buttons. Focusattack sells the foam inserts to go into your buttons for a couple of bucks. Thats what i did
The 24mm Seimitsu feel juuuuust right in the "soft" dept. and are very quiet. I have a hitstick I made from some dense cardboard and a painted steel plate w/plexi to mount. 16x8.5x1.5" I think the cardboard absorbs a ton of sound with the rubberized mat ive glued to the bottom.
The next Victrix arcade stick will allow you to change and EQ the buttons and stick sounds. I personally can't wait to make all my buttons sound like cowbells. You can never have too much cowbell.
i reckon that the force you apply to the buttons matches the natural frequency of the buttons hence they sound louder as the sound resonates, maybe press the buttons with less force lol?
Been subscribed to you for so long but just got into fighting games and been watching lots of yours arcade stick vids. Totally getting one soon but soo many choice
This video got me to subscribe. Keep modding the Victrix, I'm considering one if it can do all the mods I'd want it to do! I'm curious how many different sticks it can accept, because I've seen mixed reviews about how easy it is to swap sticks into it. My personal favorite is the Hayabusa optical, square gate. There are probably better sticks but that's the one that is quickest and most accurate for me. The fact that it is silent is just a bonus.
You could try buying a rubber o rings and put it on just having it under the brim of the button to slightly separate the button from the base it might eliminate a bit more of the thunk of the buttons
I also just thought using a thin rubber washer could replace the foam inside the button tho it might make the button have a mushy feel but for silence...
Hey @NihongoGamer, I'm looking into getting my FIRST stick and plan on spending a maximum of $250. Do you have any good recommendations? What's YOUR personal favorite stick? Thanks.
you can make it have the colors of the NES control and is easily moddable..when the time comes I will have to decide between this one or the Qanba dragon, for the next console generation I suppose replacing the PCB should be easy enough

I have a really cheap arcade stick and the buttons click when you push them down they are so loud I don't know why anyone would want them that loud they make mechanical keyboard sound quiet although just barely
My mechanical keyboard doesn’t have such a ping so I can’t say for sure. Either way, the sound of the Victrix is quite subtle so I think most people won’t notice it at first. It was only apparent after I’d used it for a couple days
@@NihongoGamer Yeah a lot of people can just ignore the ping, but if you have sensitive ears once u hear it u can't unhear it. I also wish neighbours in the UK were as thoughtful as they are in Japan. I've had some where every night is partying, arguing and smashing bottles night :-/

$350 is pretty crazy imo. When most high-quality sticks are going for $200, 75% higher cost is hard to justify.
Not worth it since all sticks are using the exact same Sanwa JLF joystick and OBSF30 buttons. You're just paying for an enclosure which is a rip off.
