    Thank you to Milwaukee Tool and The Home Depot for making this sample available for me to review. Check out the Light here: www.homedepot....
    Another great product in the Milwaukee line of lights. I am a big fan of their Trueview lights. This flashlight is crazy bright and the color of the light is fantastic. I am out in the rain all the time, and really like that it is waterproof. It is a little big to carry in my pocket all the time, but does fit in my side pocket nicely. At 1100 lumens, the light lasted 1 hr 33 min, at 600 lumens it ran for 4hr 23 min, and at 100 lumens it ran for 12 hr 44 min. All these times are shorter than the stated run time on the package. The light does blink before running out of electricity, which is really nice. The lens adjustment, micro USB cover, and the battery cover are all really stiff upon arrive. It does take some effort to get those to move smoothly. The body of the flashlight gets really hot after about ten minutes at 1100 lumens, but I did not notice to be over hot at the other two settings.

    While the battery didn't last as long as advertised, it's still pretty impressive. The proprietary battery part is a bummer though for those of us that don't already have a collection of compatible battery powered tools. Thanks for the review.

      The proprietary battery is a bit of a draw back, at least it recharges pretty quickly. Even quicker if they had used USB C technology.

    • @steakwilliams4448
      @steakwilliams4448 3 года назад

      Being geared towards those in the trades, people like me are already on this battery platform, it makes it easy to have backups that work in our headlamps, flood lights and such. And does o light use proprietary batteries? Coulda sworn comparing different brands on amazon and batteries plus bulbs

    • @FernbarkFrist
      @FernbarkFrist  3 года назад

      It is almost impossible for a flashlight to charge with a built in USB and not have a proprietary battery, but it does give people something to complain about.

      @kendrajones984 3 года назад

      olight can uses regular 18650's, 16340's, etc. but need to use there proprietary batteries for the magnetic charging system. unlike the Milwaukee lights. plus there half the size and twice the output. also these aren't the best out there, I carry a Zebralight with me every day that puts this light to shame in every way.

      @@FernbarkFrist I leave her some simple on/off flashlights. Usually all she does is yell until i go get some light. Just looking around the computer room there has to be 9 or 10 plus a bunch of candle lanterns. Probably 10 more before you get to the back door.

    15 min short of the 13 hour run time as advertised? That's actually damn good. Price though a tad high. I did see at Home Depot and decided to view on RUclips first. Would of been nice if it had some sort of magnetic sides to mount. I think I'll pass on it for now as I do have several type lights and maybe a competitor will come out with one for half price. Maybe

    • @FernbarkFrist
      @FernbarkFrist  3 года назад

      They probably have it over priced so that when they have deals on it or include in kits, it will seem like a better discount. As far as run time, pretty much everything I have tested from Milwaukee has over performed. Still, I am not likely to exhaust this light over the course of a day.

    I recently switched from coast flashlight to the Milwaukee 1100 needless to say it feels better for the line of work I do. The light is yellow unlike a cool white or blue, I think it's better since shadows aren't to dark. The clip on the flashlight could be better.

    Just bought 3 of these for my Brothers for Christmas! Love the Spot/Flood modes! The Flood light setting is perfect for Hiking or just mount on your Mountain Bike.
    Love how this Battery is compatible with the Other 550 Lumens Carabiner & 445 Lumens Flood Rover Light.
    Was gona get Other Brands such as Nitecore, Olight, Manker, etc....4,000+ Lumens flashlights but they use 4 batteries, too Bulky, very pricey $250+, & doesn't stay on Max Output(goes down to lower lumens to prevent damage to the light).
    Hope Milwaukee comes up with Brighter Flashlights(5000k), this one has a slight yellowish tint/hue to it(probably 3000k or so).
