This song is the reason why drums are so important in a song. Some very technical stuff in here. But it fits the feel of the song so well. I know its not 100% perfect from my end. BUT it's another reason why The Rev was one of the BEST metal drummers ever. Change my mind lol.

Hey MB, any updates? I'd like to see more. See my recent opinion regarding The Rev:
Correct about the drums... I went back and listened to this again, and in my opinion it was some of the Rev's best early work. Having listened to A7x with everything through Portnoy (thanks for Nightmare), in retrospect I can't believe I didn't take this album more seriously. The rest of the album is a mess, granted, but the Rev's drums are absolutely dominant for a young kid, and it just goes to show how far he could have gotten after the years he contributed, and wrote, for the band. This is an early attempt, but a good one. I encourage any drummer to listen to this album, and maybe learn what they can become. Listen to "Turn the Other Way" for an example.
I like what you're doing, and hopefully you keep it up. I have my kit on shelves, and an E-kit to use to teach my son. I like this one, Love it. check it out:

Hey what’s up! I read through the comment, and yeah the rev was an absolute integral part of the writing force behind so much of the A7X catalogue. He actually wrote most of the drum parts in nightmare if I’m not mistaken, you can find a ton of demos that he was a part of. Undeniably some of my favourite from the band is their self titled, diamonds in the rough and nightmare.

I never play iron cobra Pedal, in 8 years behind the drums I only use Pearl Pedals 😂
