I remember this song coming out, I went straight to my brothers room because he had loud speakers with bass. I interrupted whatever he was doing to listen to it. So worth it! HA!
This song although chuggy and easy at times, has some pretty insane fill work and is groovy as all heck! It's the first time I've used a stacked splash (I think thats what the Rev used for certain parts... It certainly sounds like it!!). I did miss one hit, the stick was there... but I must have hit the felt.. womp womp!

Trying to learn this myself atm, wondering tho, is that bit in the chorus as Jimmy screams "Acclaim" simply a 6:4 Polyrythm? Or is there something even fancier going or is that even a polyrythm lol XD
Dude that’s sick! Yeah the EC reverse is my absolute favourite! And what time stamp are you asking about? Jimmy does some wild stuff in this song!
If it’s the part I’m thinking of, the right hand hits on every 3rd beat while the left on the snare stays with the 4/4 timing to match the bass drums.
I say separate the hands first then add them together when you get it! 🤘

Very nice cover, I recommend you to articulate a little bit more, I know it is A7X but you seem too rigid, you can improve your playing if you loosen up a little bit. Nice cover.
Thanks dude, this one was a banger so it was a lot of heavy hitting. Not really much i could do in terms of articulation lol. And I do 1 take for my covers. So after a few hours of the same song I may get sloppy here and there.
Either way, appreciated and I'll take it into account on my newer covers! 🤘
