The funny thing is, NHP's themselves seem to be split on if this wearing off is freedom from shackles, or them going insane to the point they prefer being cycled (a death of personality basically) instead. It's a detail I like for the setting, since it leaves things flexible and asks questions about the nature of 'sanity' without even trying to answer them.
I like that the setting isn't too bleak. Heck, while imperfect, the top faction still dreams, and has a template to build on to achieve them. And I like that. Definitely an interesting setting I'll be considering trying if I actually start playing tabletop at some point.
Same here! When I saw the trailer for AC 6 I fell in love immediately, I’ve read a portion of Mech Touch, 100% AC 6, played Mech Warriors 5, I’m watching the development of Titanfall 3 and Mech Breakers (I think that’s the name it was part of the game award last December), and now I’m playing this!

For real. I’m a narrative designer in my job, so I’m particular about world building. To the point that, in most TTRPGs, I’m pretty universally compelled to rip the system out and make my own setting for it. Lancer is the only ttrpg setting I’ve ever seen that I had like… no notes on. Absolutely, brilliantly, believably written and presented, and it lends itself SO WELL to telling the kinds of stories I’m drawn to.
Nice video, i definitely need to see more on NHPs. Btw, I'm going to recommend not trailing off so much about certain things but instead giving a short in-lore example of what you're eluding to. This is a very new setting for a lot of people and we really want to know more.
