Thanks for watching, from all of us at Matt's off-road recovery! - Авто/Мото
Lizzy’s look on her face when you asked for an update. Definitely caught her off guard! Lol
That was great... lol
Yes, from dear in headlites to how cute can i smile. Love it
I thought she was going to give a weather report
Lizzie forgot her lines... weather report!
@@rondumontier1187 Yup, she certainly is a cutie when Matt startles her and she just blushes. "Whaaaat??? What am I supposed to say now??" ;^)
I have to say, I procrastinate working on my own vids by watching youtube.... and I do watch a lot of youtube.
But I stop watching whatever I'm currently playing, to load thew new episodes of this build. This series is my favourite to watch by far right now! No BS. No drama. No EGO stroking. Just straight awesome project work with good people. The second a new vid is up, i'm hyped to watch. Such a nice escape from how hectic everything is currently. I wanna buy a shirt with the corvair as a main graphic right on the front (or on the back with small matts offroad logo on the front).
Agree.
I’ll “third” that request!
I'm a car guy first and foremost. You may have missed your target date, it was a lofty goal, but for good reason! Doing this build right takes priority or you'll regret any short cuts you would've taken. This IS an AWESOME BUILD! It shows, as in Papa Dar making the trip to check it out! Keep doing it right because we're all here cheering you on. And as Big Mike said " it gets done when it gets done!" And it'll be with no regrets!!!
Most of the time the customer wants the project done "Fast" and they want it "Done Right." More often than not, you can have one or the other... rarely do you get both.
Matt's familiar enough with reality to know that "Done Right" is a lot more important where this thing will be going and how it'll be used. My mother told me a long time ago, "Patience is a Virtue." She was pretty smart. Matt must have been listening back then...
6:20 "They all give me a dollar a piece, and we'll have it done tomorrow."
"It gets done when it gets done" Like a boss !
its what every mechanic itches to say
haha was gona point that out to :)
Yep, you don't rush paint jobs, it takes as long as it takes, otherwise you'll be back in a few years doing it all over again.
@@KarlEller lol and the shit this is getting put thru soon ahahaha it needs a solid paint base ahahaha
Won’t get done any sooner than that
"This is lemon. I asked for banana" lol Best line in the video
It needs a small tiny splash of orange to offset the lemon
Wait a few years and there's going to be a few rust spot, that's gonna be your old Banana :)
So, since the 'vair is a two-tone, will it be called "Banana Split?"
That’s good I like that 😂🤣
I think that's the best name proposed yet & it connects the two "Matt's Off Road Recovery" vehicles. Simple and pertinent. I like that!
Matt: we need a couple of strong guys
Lizzy: hold my beer😂
If this Off Road recovery gig doesn’t work out you could start a cab company. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
7:20 "All I need is my welding hood, a cut off wheel, and a couple strong guys" Lizzy~ "Hold my beer"
And my safety glasses and mask!!!
Edit: “Hold my Dr. Pepper”
Liking the Mexican corridos playing at the paint shop. 😂✌
neta! represent lol
11:31 that’s what I like of this channel straight up content, no surprise bullshit reveal for the next 3 episodes, it’s going to be yellow
Thanks for not doing a black and white thumbnail
Chalino Sanchez blasting lol. Cant wait to see it out doing recoveries. Even my wife who dosent car for cars is excited to see the end result.
How much extra did Big Mike charge you for all of the "customers" wandering around his shop🤣🤣🤣
"...$100 extra if you want to watch; $200 extra if you feel you have to 'Help!!' "
As Big Mike said, We all need to send him $1
Never expected to be a fan of this type of stuff, but I'm a fan now. Hard working people having fun that what's its all about.
2:20 "Tell my why you were running just barely." Lol
Matt is like a kid in a candy shop! He's so excited haha
Lol! The only time I’ve ever seen him run was to get Corvair from sandblasting
Everybody but Big Mike
Really cool to see Matt so excited 😃 🙌
Paint looks great, liner on the fenders etc is a good idea; can’t wait to see how it turns out
Eric, "come a long ways from the junk yard, still pushin it around tho".
"...welder, cutoff wheels,...and a couple of strong guys..." Not too long later, Lizzy is holding up the corner!! When Big Mike was mixing paint he looked like one of the Chefs on the food network preparing his secret sauce. Good job Mike! Looks good. Mike: "I wanted banana--This is Lemon!" Funny!
Wow the Corvair looks SPLENDID, can't wait till ALL OF US take it for the Maiden Voyage... 🤠
When Matt took off running. I got nervous. That's how you know it's exciting. Looks great.
Matt, your excitement is contagious! You’re like a kid on Christmas morning.
From the moment I saw a Corvair in the background, your channel went straight to the top of my favorites and has never dropped. Just WOW! Thanks.
I can't wait to see how this performs compared to the Banana...
I hope they splurge on some 37 x11.5 or wider tires to really get that contact patch. I know they are very cost focused in their tire selection.
@@otm646 in the mud they gotta deal with I think a narrower tire works better. cuts thru to the good base.
@@0xsergy absolutely. But wider is better on sand and rock, so its deff a ballencing act when choosing tires. The narrow tire is better in snow as well unless the snow is over 4' deep then you want to ride on the packed snow rather than dig to the hard base
@@samantharondeau4580 it is a sand rig and all, atleast he chose a gas engine instead of a diesel because of the rev range being too short in a diesel for a sand towing rig.
@@tylerbrotzman7452 weight is a bigger concern over the power band.
I worked in a body shop for about 2 years. For one reason only, to learn how to paint my own cars. There's no better feeling than taping up your own vehicle for paint.
I disagree. The better feeling is when you remove the tape and it doesn't lift any paint. 😂😁
Can’t wait to see the Corvair in the sand dunes pulling out all the tourists. Also love the music they are playing at the paint shop 😂😂
So when you call a customer to tell them you will meet them somewhere and say "I'm driving a Corvair"...I wonder how many people will say Huh?
Every single one of them who's not a car person. Heck even a car fan would be shocked by a wagon tho. I've never even seen one in person
Every one
GPS speedo. Can u make rudy carry a battery, wire it and see how fast he can run?
That was one of the best things I've heard all day!!!!👈💨
More accurate on sand anyway 😉
Of all the YT channels out there, for some reason this has been my favorite build to watch! Great work guys one of the best channels on YT 👍🏼
I think I’m just as excited as Matt is! My Jeep is in the shop right now I’ve been waiting 4 weeks now. Hopefully I’ll get it tomorrow.
13:18 you know its an important job when the boss man comes out to work.
I seen this vehicle in Vegas Henderson’s on Thursday on a tow truck with that color scheme I was right behind it checking it out cool build!!!
Looks good Matt, great to see you guys are growing your RUclips business by 50% in less than a year that is awesome
Rudy,
Cherish the time you get to spend with your dad. It looks like you appreciate the great relationship you have with him, life is short. I miss mine.
You'll be telling this story of the Corvair build with your dad till the day you die. No doubt. God bless your family.
“When it’s done, it’s done” love it hahaha, lookes amazing Matt
"Gets done when it gets done."I like big Mike.
Ha. I said the exact same words. Big Mike is the man!
Matt looks like a proud Papa at the end. Looking awesome can't wait to see the finished product. Banana Split is about to ride again....
Elmer, Papa Dar, and Big Mike. I feel like I've been transported back in time 😊
thanks again for the sneak peak and the hospitality, we were the random Red jeep that showed up by the side of road when we saw Ed. thanks from Teek and Jaz
Great to see Eric back on here!
A job well done Big Mike and employees, that is pretty dang awesome.
11:50 Chalino playing in the paint shop you know your in the right place! 😂👍🏽 🇲🇽
Awesome! As a spray painter of 25 years, I still love the satisfaction of fresh paint👍
Now that hit the spot! Always look forward to the Corvair build! Paint scheme is spot on...gonna have to take it to some car meets and show it off!
🇲🇽 I hear 👂 la Raza putting their work into it too.
That's awesome Matt. It's going to be Epic when done. Looking forward to every single story on the build. Many blessings to all.
That looks awesome. Matt, I can tell how happy you are. Can't wait to see it all together.
I have owned two different Corvair's, so I am super excited to see the finished car! One of the Corvair's I had when I was stationed in the Philippine's in the early 80's was actually converted to a front engine using a Toyota 4 cylinder. (The Filipino's were excellent fabricators)
Looks fan-tastic!!😁
That’s the color scheme I picked! Awesome!
Nice looking but the best is Matt is like a little kid at Christmas and Lizzie seems like she is thinking if it was a horse I could see the excitement. Kind of caught her thinking about something else when you asked for the update, but she quickly comes up with something. You got to give Big Mike credit for even letting you film much less having a mob run around his shop, thank you to Big Mike. Nice sand blasting job also, they did a great job. Nice all around video filming and editing of the update. Matt is already dreaming of taking it out in the sand pits, hopefully he doesn't make the sound effects out loud while he is sleeping, poor Jamie.
Love the Mexican Corridos playing in the background, you know they loving their job when spanish music is playing.
This brought back memories to me of the early 1970s. I worked at an auto paint shop that did $19.98 paint jobs. I sanded the cars.
Matt:" all I need are a couple of strong guys" next second Lizzi "I am holding the corvair up" lol
Yes I noticed that to, what's up with that lol.
It was totally fun watching how excited Matt and Rudy were seeing their creation come to life, ITS ALIVE!!!! Tc from Nevada
GREAT JOB! Everything is really coming together well, I can’t wait to see it finished and working.
This channel has every aspect of real mens' entertainment! Offroad recovery, fabrication, paint, and good family values helping the community! It looks awesome Matt!
Looks great Matt. Congrats to you and the whole team, especially Randy.
That recovery unit is going to be AWESOME !!! Looks really good but the best is yet to come. Can't wait !! very happy for you to experience a vision to the finished. Y'all be safe out there..
Hearing Chalino Sanchez on this channel is something I won’t soon forget aha
Beauty. Great watching Matt look like a kid on Christmas getting this thing done.
perfect way to start the Sunday morning !
I'm loving these videos!!! Seeing this all come together is just amazing. I can't wait to see it in action!
Had a 1965 back in 72 and lemon yellow is perfect color for them! Drive 45 mph into a train hit reverse at last minute and always missed the train and made the car a porta potty! Can't remember how many people I did that too! Best thing chevy ever made was the powerglide transmission!
Thanks guys! Can't wait to see it in action.
I am shocked the sandblaster did not take off the Sharpie writing on the fender.
They sandblasted the undercarriage and floorboards and not body panels from what I gathered.
sandblasting panels is a no go. it would destroy the surface.
I think they only did the new steel fabricated parts.
The panel's didn't need sandblasting just the new stuff And all the welds....
Matt's pretty excited. Like a little kid on Christmas eve..... Been waiting sense he was 12. Love it.
Matt has an excellent team! Their actions speak volumes!
LOVE that answer, "Get's done when it gets done"
Love seeing this all come together
I lOVE Matt's excitement in this video! Can't wait to see the finished build! GREAT JOB GUYS!
Matt the Corvair paint job looks awesome. Very excited for you .. can’t wait to see it on the road . Cheers from NewZealand
Love that paint job, I missed the vote but that’s what I would have picked. Can’t wait to see it running, driving and yanking.
Can’t wait to see this in action.
Paint turned out great.
Looking Great!! That was a real quick paint job, and they did very well. Now it's really starting to take shape.
Looking super awesome and just keeps getting better! Y’all are doing very fine work and I can’t wait to see it on the trails.
"Makes us look like we're better fabricators." 😂
A grinder and paint make me the welder I ain't. 😂
I payed for the whole speedometer, Im going to use the whole speedometer!
Weeeee!
"It's a GPS Speedo, good luck.." That part was a little stab lol.
Love the paint job! Great choice! Can not wait until this beast is done!! Best of Luck!! Lizzie Rock, as always! Cudos to Mike for letting a bunch of people in his shop and paint booth! Great guy! Regards from Norway!
1/2 million. Don't underestimate yourself Matt. Only one subscriber in my house but three avid viewers.
papa dar taking a long trip for a visit..
Small town living. Everybody just chips in and makes things happen
Looking good Winder! Can’t wait to see her all together. Got a good chance to see all those meticulous welds. Nice work Rudy!!
WOW, i liked this project from Day 1, well Built, Great Design, Looks to be very Safe and Sound, Looking forward to the rest of the project, Thanks Matt for sharing this with the world, all of us who have built Stock Cars love your hard work and attention to Detail and Safety.
Matt was so excited he couldn't even finish his sentence, lol
I was literally assisting in pushing the Corvair into the paintbooth and saying "do not knock it".
Secondly pictured jumping into the van with Matt "Where are we rushing to?"
Greetings, all the way from Cape Town, South Africa.
thankyou all for all your videos what great entertainment they are following such nice people includeing Mat keep them comeing please
Way to go Big Mike and gang! It looks great. Excited for you and everyone involved for this project nearing a close Matt. It’s also nice when the weight of a big undertaking like this is lifted off you.
I like how theres Spanish music on the back when the pull out the wagon , something you don’t see on the page 😅
I could hear Chalino singing, big Mike let's his crew be.
Gonna have to bring my Ecobeast and SXS out there to get stuck so I can make a call.
Big Mike: "It'll get done when it gets done."
Perfect answer.
Absolutely fantastic The A-Team one said I love it when a plan comes together and you did it well
So cool seeing all that hard work pay off, paint looks great!
Matt: Weld everywhere it touches
*welds jack to frame*
I'm super excited to see this thing fully completed, you guys are doing a great job Matt!
Holy crap I started watching at like 80k now your 530k plus .... Good work n god bless . Thanks for being great ppl n a great team 😘
the paint job looks awesome!
“Couple of strong guys” next we see Lizzy holding it up.
@@JC-uq5gi What are the chances that you're a boomer?
It looks awesome!!!! Great job to all involved!!! Can't wait to see it out in the sand. Be safe!
I can’t even describe how excited I was to see this awesome wagon! Good job on the fab and I can’t wait to see this badass rig do some extreme recovery!!🤘🏼
