    The CX90 clearly has the premium look both inside and out over the TX provided that you're getting the top of the line Signature/Turbo S Premium. That being said, the TX is the well thought-out product overall even as I have a hard time justifying the 25k (CAN) or 15k (US) extra over the Mazda. And there is also a higher TX550+ (a V6) which is even more expensive. The TX still has the cheaper look but is easier to live with while the CX90 has the looks and driveability but sacrifices practicality.

      Sold my 2024 CX-90 PHEV the other day. Was considering the TX PHEV but it’ll be a while, so I bought a 24 Telluride SC Prestige. It’s AMAZING. THE tech, ride, and space are way better than Mazda. THE Mazda is the best looker though.
      Sold the Mazda since @MazdaUsa refused to repair the faulty rack and pinion. Expect a recall. My dealer was the real culprit, so I didn’t want to have to deal with them anymore. Stay away from the Mazda. Mazdas are dependable, but this brand new product has been nothing but problematic. Also, the steering is too heavy.

    To get a more accurate legroom space, you have to move all the seats all the way back (front and middle seats). Both cars actually have the same front seat legroom at 41.7 inches each. The middle seats are practically the same, 39.4 inches for the CX-90 and 39.5 inches for the TX-500h. The rear seats is where the big difference exists at 30.4 inches for the CX-90 and 33.5 inches for the TX-500h. The TX-500h also has about 1.5 to 2.5 inches advantage in shoulder room in all three rows and it also has more generous headroom and cargo space.

    Hi, we have the new lexus. In the canadian winter it is actually way easier than everyone else, because since the door handle doesn't actually have any moving parts, it can't get jammed with ice and you can confidently pull on the handle as hard as you feel like it without fear of ripping it out like other cars since it is one solid piece. It is actually better than regular door handles for winter. thank you for this review. Also I feel like the target audience for Lexus is generally older folks wanting luxury vehicles. Also the lexus will probably outlast the mazda by a 100k km

    • @ccchhhrrriiisss100
      @ccchhhrrriiisss100 5 месяцев назад +2

      Interesting points about the winters and target customer. I'm a bit younger (no kids yet) and I've taken my new Mazda into the mountains of Northern California for camping/hiking trips in very remote areas of high elevation. My grandmother lived in Pennsylvania and she had the problem on her Volkswagen vehicles most of her life. Even in snow/icy conditions with sub-freezing temperatures, I haven't had any problems with doors on my Mazda. It's good to know that manufacturers are engineering them with this in mind.
      That said: I'm not sure that I agree with your vehicle life assessment. Mazda has reinvented itself. Most of their vehicles are built in the same factories (and with the same shared workforce) as Toyota and Lexus. Moreover, the Mazda parts that are problematic on BMWs and Mercedes are really good (the engineer in me notices these things). I also like the fact that the Mazda avoided the CVT that Toyota Corporation has embraced. Although Toyota does a better job than most, they are a bit jarring in how they work and the life-span of CVTs is quite limited.

    The Mazda is actually priced higher than the Lexus for American dealerships, which actually is justified.. The difference in class is obvious between these cars and unlike Lexus, Mazda has heritage and has been around for generations WITH a Motorsport pedigree. And honestly, if we look at history, Mazda has been making premium vehicles longer than Lexus has been alive. Every company has their unique drawbacks, but like Volvo, Mazda has persevered and payed their dues to be justified as a premium offering🤷‍♂️

    Space in the rear cannot determine whether the price difference is justifiable. I have an lx600 f sport and a cx90 turbo s premium plus. cx90 has more room in the 2nd row, third row, and the back. Yet the lx is over 113k usd and is worth it. Fit and finish are both excellent. I’m finding myself driving the cx90 more and more than the lx. Both are great cars. Just depends on your needs. The reviewer needs to get familiar with the car he’s reviewing before making a comment. The second row seats will move forward with 1 pull of the lever to get access to the third row. 15k is not worth the difference for me between these two cars. Lastly, i believe the tx fsport is 6 cylinders and not 4.

Also, like what was mentioned in this video, not enough head room in the third row seating area and the side window in the back could've been a little bit larger. Just a little bit so that third-row seating passengers dont feel claustrophobic back there. It would be great to see these two vehicles the Lexus TX and Mazda CX-90 go head to head in a drag race as well as a roll race. Should be very interesting.

    Sam - some basic reviewer tips for you. Have watched many reviews of yours and always thought you were not thorough and more like a seat of the pants, unstructured adhoc reviewer. Firstly when you are comparing the CX90, mention the fundamentals first. The Mazda is a RWD architecture with longitudinal inline 6, a major difference comparing with FWD based Toyota platform, what was Mazda’s thought process in launching this, their aspirations - a mainstream brand, a step up brand like Acura or Infinity or trying to punch with luxury brands ? Be clear so that rest of your review becomes enjoyable.

      Thats a dealer installed accessory, it can be installed from the lowest trim to the highest trim
      Your dealer installed it beforehand and thats why you have it, I believe its $1,000 dollar option which is expensive but worth the cool factor

    • @huanronghu4432
      @huanronghu4432 5 месяцев назад

      well the TX will be cross shopped with all kinds of 3 row suvs, mainstream ones like the palisade, upmarket ones like the CX90, midsize luxury crossover ones that are smaller like the MDX, full size crossover ones like the x7, and full size body on frame ones like the grand wagoneer (still find it funny that there's more total cargo space in the TX compared to the non L grand wagoneer)

    9:14 be consistent with this thought throughout reviews. It is actually much easier to have manual fold than buttons and electric motor.
    If I remember correctly , you have pointed out some don’t have the buttons and it’s a manual process. Just don’t forget to mention it’s a positive thing to not have to replace electric motors on 3rd row seating after you pay the car off, and it’s much easier to fold down seating and throw stuff back there.

      Maybe I'm lucky, but with 25 yrs of car ownership, I've never had to replace an electric motor.... power seats, power locks, sliding doors, power windows, power tailgate, etc. Even had Mazda 626 with power seat belts

    Look I am not a fan of Mazda but this new look SUV CX90 AWD I like but yes I will choose the Lexus because for the room in the cargo and in the rear seats, with the tech, comfort ride, and all the gadgets it comes with and I love my vehicles to have fog lights that’s a deal breaker for me is only a few vehicles I will buy w/o fog lights Mercedes, BMW, To name a few so for me I have a big family I am definitely going to check out this Lexus TX500H3 for sure and it’s AWD as well am impressed I will test drive that in e near future when am ready to trade in my crossover SUV which is only 2 rows for this 3 row for sure. Nice design too I will get it in all black with black interior or all white with black trims all around I think that looks dope but I do love that red metallic on this Mazda too it’s not a bad vehicle I just wouldn’t mind paying a little bit more for that Lexus that’s just me.

    This guy is a Lexus/Toyota SHILL ! These two are NOT comparable for 3 really big reasons.
    1. You can buy/order a Mazda CX 90, and actually recieve it in a reasonable time for oem MSRP. Lexus has premiums slapped on it from A. Their main distributor, then add insult to injury the dealer.
    2. The Lexus is NOT a true AWD. The rear axle is an electric motor only. Offroad performance sucks.
    3. Price, the Lexus is waaaaaay too expensive.
    ******Really, just on superficial observations, the interior of the Lexus is well,...CHEAP-LOOKING.
    Mazda is really raising the bar,.....for not alot of money, and you can get one.

    I’ll be honest, I already bought the TX500h and I really love it , But for the price of the Lexus I could have bought a BMW and definitely go up to a better level of technology and quality, My wife and I have talked about it and the Lexus is very overrated, it should be a $60k car and no more than that. I love the Lexus, but I regret not having bought a BMW X7, Unfortunately I can’t return the Lexus, the dealers don’t accept that.

    It can be seen from afar that you are a Lexus Fan, I do not consider an objective analysis. I think they are completely different vehicles. Now everyone is a car expert to determine what is better than another.
    I have seen Lexus and Toyota vehicles in emergency maneuvers on several occasions and they are quite unstable and unresponsive.
    The power of advertising has made Lexus and Toyota the vehicles they are not. And to clarify, I do not own a Mazda, I like European vehicles.

    Lexus third row seats are a lot shorter that the Mazda. Cx90 seat bottom nearly covered you entire leg where as the lexus only cover barely a 1/3 od the leg area. That is something you have to say but never do. The seats on the lexus are much more narrow that the Cx90. Seats in the lexus just screams cheap
