Thank you once again for these wonderful video!! Half way through this model and it's absolutely insane!! I got to commend you on a great job showing the tips and techniques on the different effects!
Thanks for all the information! I'm not sure I appreciated before how massive the painting job will be for this in the end. Hopefully I'll still like looking at the Falcon by the end of it!
Brilliant videos. Nice to know even guys like you make minor mistakes, it makes guys like me feel we have a chance at reaching your level of professionalism. Plus, I've got to say that i love hearing words like splooches and sayings like "go bananas" it always amuses me thinking of none English speaking viewers trying to translate what you've said and then sitting scratching their heads and thinking "how do we go bananas and how can fruit help me finish my model"😁
Awesome series Steve, thanks for that. One question, did you mask the red and grey standard panels or repaint them completely? if so what colour did you use? Thanks.
I would be curious to know why you are using enamel vs using acrylic. I have no experience with using enamel paints, so I have to plead ignorance. Also..I have only just received my first package in the subscription (issues 1-4), do the later issues include details regarding recommended specific paint colors / brands for these surface details you are doing in the paint videos? Will my results be ok if I use acrylics for this project? Thanks!
How much does this model differ to the replica beside the custom paint job? We know the canopy is wrong and some panels around it, the turret window needs shifting, rear passenger seats are squared...and some panels near the landing gear which later deogo did revise including the seats near..but iam thinking there might be some panels may be wrong..btw iam not talking about aftermarket mods..just fixes that can be done with the model it self. Maybe theres a forum on this?
In your last video you made several indication that the reference pictures were on the website. I don't see them at the link you provided either time. Should we be expecting them later? Am I just not seeing where they are linked from there?
Crazy Geometric Patterns - It looks like those were originally done in pencil on the model to mark places for elevated panels that were never finished. At least, that's what I'm seeing. I'm also bearing in mind, that they not only wanted to avoid getting sued over what later became the Blockade Runner, swapped to the flying hamburger which was rushed into production. Following this, all other miniatures including the 32" Falcon were again, rushed to save time.
Hey Steve: you owe me $517.76 for the Hal 9000 panel you never sent me! Been waiting since June 9th, 2013. Apparently I'm not the only person you owe refunds to.
Hmm, sounds like you guys need to take a loss on a failed investment. I don't think your going to see that money ever again if it's been that long ago. Sorry to be the one to break the news to you. I was here for the video and commented when I noticed your comment but I don't have a problem with Steve and regretful that you do because it seems like your trying to get him fired which makes you guys pretty bad yourself. I've had people owe me money before but never would I jeopardize their lively hood.

Steve you never disappoint. Fantastic tips!!

Steve Dizzo, you are a natural comedian.
Okay, Realy?! The sticky notes were HYSTERICAL!!
I heard that the artists who made the Filming Model left there names somewhere. I saw "Michael" at 17:12. Very cool
If you thin your paint for a wash, dab on a small drop then hit the paint with compressed air. Straight down or at a desired angle.great vids
Even if I wasn't building the Falcon, these videos would be gold. It's late and I keep getting into trouble for laughing out loud.
Post it note. :D

Lol “first day with the new hand”!
I usually use a small fine point paint brush and get a small amount of paint on it then tap on the brush to her small dots of rust
