I think the fact that Ben is able to control Wildmutt in the way he does is evidence enough that Vulpimancers are sapient and just can’t speak English.
@@OlliepopVTway big is born of comsic storm mix mutgen material and reproduce by created the substance created them and used it feed and developed the offspring preborn
I remember that it was explained by one of the writers that Vulpimancers are indeed sapient, and have a language, but said language can't be translated by Universal Translators (including the one inside the Omnitrix), and they lack the vocal anatomy to be able to learn other languages. And since Ben himself doesn't know how to speak their language, Wildmutt can't either and is just speaking gibberish from the perspective of other Vulpimancers. Ben retains his human intelligence and personality as Wildmutt, it's just hard to tell because he can't talk.
Vulpamancers do have a very complex language but the problem is that it's so complex that no translator can understand it. From my understanding if you can have a language that not even Galvin tech can decipher I'm pretty sure you're smart enough to be considered part of the Omnitrix. Plus he gave somebody a thumbs up. Far as I'm concerned that's sentience.
Or their language is like that of caveman speech. No one knows what Unga Bunga ba qua ticka means but that doesn't stop the omnitrix to have caveman transformation.
The thing is, Ben is able to continue having his personality and MOST of his academic intelligence (for what I recall in the series) so I believe that Vulpimancers HAVE the potential to be very academically intelligent but what they dont have is the need to develop said intelligence in their natural habitats, hell a super developed vulpimancer like ultimate Wildmutt was able to speak English so I think thats also a good possibility, they CAN be academically intelligent but they normally don't need to be
Okay hear me out. My theory as to why the vulpemancers from the null void dimension look so gnarly compared to ben is because they were a population of their kind that just got stuck there, and evolved in isolation which would not only explain different appearances but also the fact they act more savage then ben does, and I don't think it's just the fact that their older individuals because we actually saw what wildmutt looks like in that one episode with Ben 10k and his wildmutt still looks the same just with the tiger stripes. But that's just my theory so do correct me if I'm wrong.
Oh so like how lemurs evolved. Separate from Africa and evolved on Madagascar away from the others. That makes a lot of sense and sounds scientifically plausible
A few things to know. Vulpamancers did have thumbs in the original series... However in omniverse his hands/paws were changed to be more similar to canines in appearance. Probably for aesthetic. Originally He was capable of climbing, grasping in manners similar to apes. I think for omniverse though they gave him a digit that functions similar to a racoons or quite possibly a panda's. They have special adaptations for grabbing. As for the varying appearance of the vulpamancers I believe.... If I remember correctly the ones with lips(wildmutt) originate from the planet vulpin and have these lips because of the toxic environment they live in while the fanged ones we see are ones born off world. The difference in color comes from where they are born. An adaptation shared with many animal species to adapt to things like climate and environmental pressures. Now when it comes to intelligence. Not much is known. We can see that they communicate with one another but Grandpa max pointed out they never were much for words more or less action and weren't to friendly even with their own kind. Basically what can be gathered is that they function through a pack mentality and tend to stick within their own groups while fighting for dominance amongst others. They're definitely not compassionate or empathetic in any positive way as they were definitely trying to eat wildmutt and to them he was just a pup. I think it's been noted already by the writers that vulpamancers have a language just one too indistinguishable. They noted universal translators can't decipher it. As for English they can understand it they just can't relay it because like you said they lack the vocal cords to do so. But this was actually touched upon in UA as we see ultimate wildmutt has evolved to gain the vocal cords necessary for this feat. Basically wildmutt in terms of intellect is similar to Ultimate wildmutt just without the vocal cords.
As a wild mutt specialist and a dog lover with no dog i can confirm that wild mutt has hunter mind like they have feelings and can take advantage of a situations like the predators of real life
2 things 1. Im 90% sure that in vilgax attacks (both DS and playstation 2) that wildmutt's home planet is a waste disposal planet because ships just threw their waste onto the planet (so therefore may have been altered by a species to make it able to hold more) 2. I wouldn't be surpised with wildmutts species if each pack had their own language (being a more extreme example of dialects or phases existing in nearby areas (such as lower and upper britain ) sounding different and if you havs no prior knowledge of such accents and phrases you might as well deal with another language)(as seen with ben (being effectively domesticated) not being even able to talk to the members of his species in phills episode) and so tieing into ultimate wildmutt being given the ability to act as a universal translator rather than just speaking English
I’d imagine vulpamancers are very social because why else would ultimate wildmutt gain the ability to speak if not to be even more social and even speak to other species. They are like alien super dogs.
My theory on them not being able to speak (Ultimate Wildmutt not withstanding) is that in addition to vocalizations, they also communicate with body language and pheromone production, which would be difficult-to-impossible for universal translators to actually pick up on and properly convert to audio. (As for how body language would work in blind species: their echolocation has been shown to be advanced enough to pick out fairly detailed shapes). In fact, since I also just watched your Ultimate Alien video, perhaps the way Ultimate Wildmutt evolved the ability to speak was that whatever happened in the simulated evolution was so chaotic the Vulpimancer packs needed to evolve even more complex communications to stay together and strategize, thus adding complex vocalizations that universal translators can work with, in addition to their other communication methods.
Advanced emotional intelligence! That's so brilliant, it really makes Gwen understanding wildmutt (or rather understanding) all the more touching! Here the idea of walking in another species shoes with the omnitrix, really males sense!
Remember the first episode of the classic Ben 10, he laughed at Gwen when she fall trying to hit him from the back. That also proves he is intelligence.
Fun video! An interesting philosophical tangent to explore is that since both sentience and sapience are independent characteristics and are both variable, it is possible that in real life, while humans are likely the most sapient species on the planet, we may not be the most sentient. Animals who have stronger senses and pain responses than us might just be more sentient than we are. Particularly animals who rely more on sensory information for survival than we do. This also comes with a bunch of ethical rabbitholes, such as the idea that if causing unnecessary suffering is bad, it might be worse to harm some (or even many) other animals than it is to harm humans, since those more sentient animals probably have a greater capacity for suffering.
I think their language can’t be translated because it’s not entirely based on noises. Think about how much of a real dog’s communication is based on body language or smells. I suspect that vulpimancers communicate with not only grunts and growls, but also subtle gestures and special pheromones that can’t be sensed or replicated by other species. Maybe they can pick up infrasound frequencies through the ground like elephants?
My favorite alien by far, i just wish we could know more about their spicies, like, how did they get in the void? Who poluted vulpin? What are vulpinic tortugan like?
I always thought that Ben could control Wildmutt because the watch increased the Vulpmancers intelligence so he could actually use it. But you make an interesting point that I didn't consider. Thanks for the great video!
Ben was able to understand what Gewn and Grandpa said as Wildmutt so he's still intelligent. So (as one of the other comments said) they are intelligent but we can't understand them like Wookiees, kinda
Before this video, my headcannon was that Vulpimancers from Vulpin are sapient while the ones from the Null Void aren't. I think it due to that the adult Vulpimancers from the original look different from Ben 1000's one as i assumed that his one is a fully matured one
I think the reason for the difference design of ben 10k's wildmutt and a wild adult vulpimancer due to the fact that's it the best version of it species due to the omnitrix's function
I'd just like to add vulpimancers do actually have a sort of thumb It just doesn't have the dexterity to use tools like a human. Only really useful for climbing and swinging ec.
Well first asmuth choose vulpermancers to be in the Omnitrix for preservation reasons. Number 2 Ben was saying human words thru a dog's voice box if anything I would sound like the child was mocking the adult vulpermancers.(Truth season 2 ep 1). Number 3 why vulpermancers were on the same list as Galvan( asmuth the creators species) and upgrades(the artificial species made by the galvans) is beyond me. Like imagine having a photo book with 30 pages and the first page there's you, a robot you made and a random dog. I should explain further if nuclear energy, a ghost and nanomachines can be in the Omnitrix then a species like dog can be in the Omnitrix. It probably made Ben dumber like how becoming a Galvin makes ben smarter. Alsoalso really wouldn't upgrade upgrade the Omnitrix? Like it's still there on it's chest did azimuth program a limiter on upgrade so it won't mess up the watch. That would explain why upgrade doesn't doe stuff like become a giant war ship like ship does.. like the white cells ignore the bacteria inside your eye.
Ever since I heard dolphins were smart enough for the Omnitrix, I assumed Vulpimancers may be around dolphin level. Although I have heard the idea they may be crow level, but this came from the exact opposite of a credible source, so it was just an idea. Also a bit off topic, but I find it interesting that red Vulpimancers exist, considering Ultimate Wildmutt is red, I don’t know what this could be implying, but it certainly implies something.

I would like to say a couple things. The first being the point you made with them being smart enough to “speak” and communicate with their own species and understand other languages also I think that you are right with the vocal cords being not developed enough because as seen in ultimate wild mut he has gained the ability to speak and speak fluently. The second point is in the episode that terispin’s species was introduced they had to use translating devices to understand the one that was there on earth. But that’s just my theory
Could be mistaken here, but some have the headcanon that the Omnitrix can hold a number of semi-sapient species, myself included. Only brought this up because there might be those that believe Vulpimancers to be semi-sapient.
My head cannon was wildmutt was a subspecies that had intelligents compared to others who didn’t. Kind of like how crows and far more intelligent compared to other birds
Maybe Vulpimancers, just like some animal variations on earth (Bears & Dogs & Birds) have evolved differently due to different environmental changes and circumstances, the species in The Null Void dimension could become much more violent (or prone to) or aggressive than say, one in a natural environment. Ben could control the alien, YES, but, the human conscience gives him an advantage over the Wild Vulpimancer, he can, through human self awareness redirect the natural abilities of the animal to achieve his own goal, be it echo location, speed, agility and strength. In the original series episode The Truth, I can't possibly imagine one Vulpimancer pull all those stunts because of intelligence. To quote Max "Vulpimancers never were big on small talk, even with their own kind!" They are essentially just animals survivng, that probably grew to be like this due to evolution, Ben is human, so he can put those evolutionary abilities perks to use, consciously.
I've wondered the same thing, and a little theory I've developed is that vulpimancers are actually relatively new to sapience/sentience compared to other species such as humanity, the Tetramands, the Galvans, etc etc. I think Azmuth saw their potential, as well as the potential to experiment to see if one could transform into a vulpimancer and still retain their own intelligence.
So on the "vulpimancer subspecies" thing I can not confirm this because I do not remember where it came from but I remember somewhere there being a factoid about how wildmutt is an interesting alien because technically his species is extinct he's different from the other ones of his species as the others are mixed with other aliens wildmutt is the only one that remains as what they were before they did that so there are at least two subspecies Although in my search for finding thos factoid I found out apparently wildmutt's toys didn't sell that well which doesn't super relate but I don't think it'd ever come up again
Your videos are great, please enjoy yourself making these videos as much as you can don’t let the momentum overwhelm you and it’s ok to take breaks true fans will be here regardless
That actually helps explain what separates wildmutt from the predators. It makes sense if what can qualify an alien being in the Omnitrix is not simply academic intelligence but emotional intelligence. My favourite colour for the Vulpamancers is probably red but blue is very close 2nd
I mean, if the dolphins can get in with their aparent lack of empathy (if you know you know), and the planchakule can be in there in spite of their manic personalities, the addition of more seemingly animalistic (from our perspective) aliens make sense. Also you speak of the vault commanders as if we humans arent just apes who were really good at pack hunting
I think that Vulpimancer are problably at the same level as early human species like Homo erectus but less inteligent then Neathendrals or Homosapiens. That would put Vulpimancers far above any non human animal on this world and that would include dolphins and elephants. I think that becouse every time Ben transforms into Willdmut he act very feral even tho he remembers who he is. So maybe Vulpimancer mind is smart enough to have fully sapient mind but weak enough that at random animalistic instincs can take over their mind
I mean in a episode a blue one was just chilling with a null void resistance against De void (Dr Animo) while the red one's tried to hunt 12 year old Keven but who knows
I was waiting for this video!! But i wasn't able to watch it early because I was out of my town and I didn't have my wifi there 😭 and yeah my fav vulpimancer are the red one's cause they just look good af
I think the sample in the Omnitrix may be a mutation of a vulpmamcer or it was a trial done by azmuth when creating the feature of the Omni trix that creates new species like nanomech
What if only a few of Vulpimencers are as intelligent as humans and as Ben gets the peak of the Species he also gets the base intelligence needed for the Omnitrix.
Maybe ben's version is a evolution of vomamanser that was more sapion but all of them died for some reason and the other in the no void is the others that didn't evolve and that would explain why the two looks different 🤔
İ understand how the Omnitrix genetically selects the best possible form for aliens. But wild mutt looks significantly different from every other vulpimancers in the series. İ have a theory that the wild mutt version is a very rare subspecies that developed intelligence, thus why he is smaller and have a different mouth structure. İt is also possible that his mouth structure enables him to be capable of speech. That's why his ultimate form could speak.
I always assumed so due to the mouth structure of the other vuplamancers, like the species was like wildmutt at some point, but due to interphereance from other sentient life, they have been changed, I think there was a trivia fact about wildmutts homeworld, and it was visited in that one ben 10 game? I assume that his species is nolonger considered sentient due to the changes it underwent, but at some point his species was intelligent enough to be sentient and his sample was taken before the species was altered in some way to reduce their capacity for higher thought, maybe they were captured by some alien race to make them fericer pit dogs, and the the null void changed further the ones that live there to abandon said traits. We see those flying things in the null void have wildmutts facial structure, perhaps they are related in some way?
I have a theory that I think it explains better why wildmutt is in the omnitrix, during the whole show wildmutt is the only vulpimancer that we see is different, and even ben 10k is different, so it's not an age thing, my theory is that wildmutt is a more evolved species of vulpimancer but it went extinct or is in danger of extinction, kinda like the difference between us and the neanderthal. Other vulpimancers mouths, claws and size indicate that they are made to kill and fight and not only that their behavior is more violent and primitive, meanwhile wildmutt is smaller in size but is clearly smarter, his mouth resembles more our mouth, the same mouth most other alien species have and he has opposite thumbs and more fingers, all this indicates that wildmutt is evolving to be able to speak, be more inteligent and use his hands for more complex tasks, and even his supreme form kinda confirms this by giving him the ability to talk and a scorpion tail to compensate for his lack in strength against the more primitive race of vulpimancers, so most likely wildmutts dna is in the omnitrix to preserve his species and give them a chance to fully develop.
Well the thing is when they first made the show back in classic they probably didn't had the "sentinent only" rule thus wildmutt being the beastie of the original 10, just as upgrade wasn't supposed to be so technically detriment to the omnitrix. They expanded upon the lore and that lore sets guidelines to future aliens to appear, when the omnitrix was first conceptualized was if a 10 year old found a watch that turn him into alien heroes. Then that world building started some retconned like Cannonbolt being Vupinic Tortunga, or Chromastone originated from Mor'Otesi. They just write as they go or feel whats convient to the show, like originally the omnitrix would only accept Max's dna, so therefore Vilgax or enoch(granted was a dream but still in context) shouldn't been able to use it outside Ben/Gwen, then it was stated by azmuth theres only supposed to be only 1 omnitrix(per timeline) so the universe wouldn't explode from its vast power yet Ken, Albedo, and Khyber can have one and the universe stayed intact. Or the 10 minute timer to prevent ben from going crazy with alien dna was proven wrong and using one alien too much will cause the others to become independant as in Feedbacks case. This isn't a complaint I love Ben 10 its my 3rd favorite franchise of all time, just stating its always going to be confusion over whats right and whats not. Because as with any franchise the creators had a thought they're going to be things retconned especially if different show directors or network intentions at the time has in mind. Like Fnaf never be solved cause Scott Cawthon just makes stuff up as he goes, while reading the fanbase theories and adding hints to "maybe" this is what you believe. Akira Toriyama doesn't care for Dragonball we know it is now, if he had it his way it be slice of life comedy, it makes him endless money yes, but at times he just don't care like Super catering to Gen Z anime fans, and GT(he presided/approved over it) was made out of corporate demand to carry Z's legacy. He really got burnt out during the King Piccolo arc in DB, but keep going despite anime being generally a strict niche market to Japanese kids, and not a global phenomenon if not hated by western parents.

@@peshomighty5051 Im meant that what they had in mind was just to sell toys, then add the lore/rules as they go on, and the reason why Upgrade is detrimental to the omnitrix cause ben's voice cannot full be transferred to a Galvanic Mechamorph voice thats why he still sounds like ben out of all his robotic alien transformations. The first 10 were probably because azmuth/beletrix seen these individuals species first, cause look how common these species are in the Ben 10 universe Tetramands, Vulpimancers, Pyronites, Galvins, Galvanic Mechamorphs, Lepidopterrans, Piscuss Volans, Kinecelerans are as civilians. Petrosapian(DNA obtain by Tetrax hence diamondhead reseambles him so well), Ectonurites(not common but Z"Skyar" tampering with the Omnitrix within made him part of the playlist of ten to get out sooner), Then Arburian Pelorotas were added cause their planet was destroyed thus the omnitrix preserved/activated Cannonbolt. Florauna's were active playlisted cause the omnitrix already scanned an individual along with Ghostfreak, so his tampering within the omnitrix brought Wildvine closer to being playable, as well as the omnitrix sensed the telepathic fungi was from the same homeworld as wildvine and was like "I can't communicate(as it was made for) with any alien representatives active, so I'll active another member of the Flors Verdance system" hence we got wildvine, the Omnitrix can't scanned the fungus cause the fungus strands holding ben lack sapience, similar to how our fingernails are dead material. Omnitrix then forcibly activated download/active(update) itself when Loboan dna was edged into the Omnitrixs lends "New Dna sample acquired, must update while carrying out primary function(communication with same members of the said species)" thus turning Ben into Blitzwolfer.
@@peshomighty5051 Yeah the omnitrix had trouble with spectre aliens Ghostfreak, and Big Chill, even the Ultimatrix had with R'aad and Ampfibian, cause they were prototypes, then fully designed Omnitrix in Omniverse didn't had much trouble with said aliens.
Always thought it was because ben has a human mind I mean i know that he can just turn into greymatter and become super inteligent and what ever But hes not as smart an actual galvan, and he sometimes doesn't know what hes talking about Same thing goes for upgrade Ben's human mind makes him weaker, normaly a member of its species is capable of learning to build anything he upgrades And in wildmut's case hes human mind makes the vulpimancer smarter I would say they are the bare minimum of intelligence and sapience and that's why the watch allows it as a transformation They're probably smarter then any wild animal they're just too agressive to let that shine
Absolutely my favorite alien of all time. Yes, Four Arms is a beast, Brainstorm is satisfyingly witty, Heat blast and Diamond Head are classics, and Alien X is insane, but Wildmutt has and always will have my heart. You cannot tell me you wouldn't want a Vulpimancer as a best friend (well you can, but I do), and Wildpup is just the cutest thing ever. If I could have only 5 aliens on my omnitrix, WildMutt will always be number one in my list. No competition.
Alright, so honestly... I like the all the Vulpimancer versions. They are all just so cool, but if I had to choose... I think the Red version, not just because they have a pretty neat pattern, but also because Ultimate WildMutt is red, so I guess that's the best for them maybe? I also think the red version is your favorite. No idea why, but that's just my guess. Hope you have a wonderful day (today and the next few days)!
My headcanon is that Wildmutt has the intelligence of a dolphin, maybe a bit less or more. And the tech on Vulpin comes from a long dead intelligent species on Vulpin.
In my opinion Vulpimancers are probably on a level of intelligence equivalent to that of Australopithecus or Homo Habilis. They could also have cetacean level intelligence as I consider cetaceans to actually be just like humans and they are an apt comparison. Just like cetaceans I think Vulpimancers can communicate through a more complex method. Cetaceans are recorded to communicate through sonar I believe and have been found to have their own language including accents like humans have. Vulpimancers could then communicate through scent, infrared, vocalizations and even body language. I believe they lack a need for clothing as they are all blind and use infrared to detect different levels of heat. As mentioned you have orange, red and blue Vulpimancers, all of which give off different levels of heat and all of them have different types of patterns, with stripes and blank patterns, all of which would give off different heat signatures. As a result I find that clothing could actually inhibit their infrared and thus they don't wear any. My main questions are, why is wildmutt so different from the other Vulpimancers. Wildmutt possesses no tail, lips, and straight teeth. When Wildmutt gets his ultra form he gets a tail and bone armor and turns red. Wildmutt is meant to be the peak version of the Vulpimancer DNA code, and we have seen the Omnitrix make modifications to dna samples before like with Ghost Freak being put into a flesh bag. but the Ultimatrix is supposed to show what would happen to the DNA sample through years of war. So then is a Vulpimancers tail more efficient or less efficient? As well the ultimate Wildmutt is able to speak English so this lends credence to Vulpimancers having a language, ultimate Wildmutt just shows that in a high stress environment they would adapt to have better communication with other species for survival.
''' Why is Wildmutt so different from the other Vulpimancers. Wildmutt possesses no tail, lips, and straight teeth.'' I'm going to ignore Ben 10 Ultimate Alien and say that vulpimancer juveniles look different from their adult counterparts and the mouth shape and tail begin to form once they reach a certain age (Ben 1000 vulpimancer transformation looks very different from Wildmutt). Another question, Ben is a kid, but his transformations are in adult forms unless they age very differently to humans (Galvans are an example).
I feel like one thing to note is that Ben's mouth as Wildmut is shaped different than the other Vulpemancers, which have a radial layout in the center of their face while ben's has a has wimilar to a human's. Also, emotional intelligence doesn't feel accurate to any of what you're talking about here, emotional awareness seems way more accurate
Good thing I’m watching this video. Strangely, this popped up when I was wondering that, myself. Specifically in regards to the animalistic Nemetrix predators. Also, it’s not so much English as it is a language universal translators, such as the one equipped in Ben’s Omnitrix, can interpret.
if the omnitrix variants are able to translate fish they might be able to translate vulpimancer linguistics owing to the slit's that look like gill slit's one would find on sharks and other fish though i hope that wildmutt's dna donor was not yet another plumber prisoner or space prisoner like a third of the omnitrix appears to be.
I like to think of it that Vulpamancers are basically equivalent to the average intelligence, they just don't have a body that biologically allows it to shown the same ways. They're like if you grabbed a dog and then gave it human intelligence, it can't really do anything to truly show that, but it doesn't mean it doesn't HAVE it
Nullvoids Red Vulpimancers are my favorite, then Blue ones and lastly Orange ones are my least favorite cause they are so basic and boring. As for what comic book type characters I like the most, it's antiheroes grounded in reality but I also like supervillains cause a big part of me *wants* the bad guys to win, it makes a story more interesting and makes the bad guys more credible threats, I sympathize Garou
Ok I got a question for you If Ben becomes an alien that has eyes that can see things that aren't perceivable to our human eyes and then ben transforms back would ben be able to remember what the color looked like?
Yes! We know that Eye Guy's eyes function differently to that of humans but he can still see fine and Ben remembers what he saw once he turns back to normal
This video made me think of how the thin line between sapience of some species in other scifi e.g. they're only sapient if four of them link telepathically, only one gender is sapient and the other are not, etc.. Makes me wonder how such beings would register in the Omnitrix's database.
I feel like wild mutt is indeed sapient not only because of all the feats and solid reasoning displayed in this video and in the comment section, but also just by pure virtue that the omnitrix only allows the user to turn into beings of similar intelligence to them or higher, meaning that at best Ben could only turn into something slightly less intelligent than a human being, like a dolphin or maaaybe a dog but that’s a stretch, I believe wildmutt to be at the same ballpark of intelligence as a dolphin. Not to mention that the nemetrix literally has shown us the consequences of having a being with the intellect of a human be turned into a proper feral creature, the result is madness. Therefore, we can also conclude through this train of logic, that wildmutt must be sentient or sapient to some extent, seeing as asmuth would never add a transformation like that knowing full well the consequences for an intelligent being upon transformation, after all; the point of the omnitrix isn’t to be a weapon or just to be used as a toy, but to be a tool that brings everyone together, every smart living creature out there in the universe can see themselves represented and appreciated through the wielder of the omnitrix, if wildmutt wasn’t sentient, there wouldn’t be a point to adding it in since an animal of low intelligence couldn’t appreciate the gesture
I did a double take at the mention of blue tetrimands, seems there are things I've forgotten lol, the wiki mentions brown too but i haven't seen any example of that
Do muroids cause someone who worked on the show said that a muroid transformation is possible I mean if I had an omnitrix I’d want to turn into a muroid

LMFAO TRUE!!!!
Yeah I mean most wildmutt appearances he do be talking in sentences I might add it’s animalistic but he do be talking
Or their language is like that of caveman speech. No one knows what Unga Bunga ba qua ticka means but that doesn't stop the omnitrix to have caveman transformation.
This is now Canon to me
@@KhanhNguyen-mh5ec Im crying😭😭
The thing is, Ben is able to continue having his personality and MOST of his academic intelligence (for what I recall in the series) so I believe that Vulpimancers HAVE the potential to be very academically intelligent but what they dont have is the need to develop said intelligence in their natural habitats, hell a super developed vulpimancer like ultimate Wildmutt was able to speak English so I think thats also a good possibility, they CAN be academically intelligent but they normally don't need to be
That'd make sense!
I never thought of looking at it this way
Oh so like how lemurs evolved.
As a wild mutt specialist and a dog lover with no dog i can confirm that wild mutt has hunter mind like they have feelings and can take advantage of a situations like the predators of real life
I remember there being a blue Vulpimancer that was part of the rebellion against Animo in AF. I liked that guy.
2 things
1. Im 90% sure that in vilgax attacks (both DS and playstation 2) that wildmutt's home planet is a waste disposal planet because ships just threw their waste onto the planet (so therefore may have been altered by a species to make it able to hold more)
Real Orcas have entirely different regional dialects just like us humans, so it isn't unlikely that Vulpimancers would be the same!

Or maybe Ben 10K has the O P T I M A L V E R S I O N of vulpamancers, and the wild ones just look like that cuz they're ugly.

The intro is hilarious. Also I miss my boo Wildmutt's roars :3
Glad you found the intro as funny as I did lol
I really enjoyed this cause I’ve wondered this for years and wanted to see more like them added to the Omnitrix, also nice touch on the intro 👍👏😻🐶🥰
So on the "vulpimancer subspecies" thing I can not confirm this because I do not remember where it came from but I remember somewhere there being a factoid about how wildmutt is an interesting alien because technically his species is extinct he's different from the other ones of his species as the others are mixed with other aliens wildmutt is the only one that remains as what they were before they did that so there are at least two subspecies
Although in my search for finding thos factoid I found out apparently wildmutt's toys didn't sell that well which doesn't super relate but I don't think it'd ever come up again
Your videos are great, please enjoy yourself making these videos as much as you can don’t let the momentum overwhelm you and it’s ok to take breaks true fans will be here regardless
Thank you very much for this comment! I'll keep doing my best and I'll try not to burn myself out at the same time >x
You like red vulpimancers the most.
That actually helps explain what separates wildmutt from the predators. It makes sense if what can qualify an alien being in the Omnitrix is not simply academic intelligence but emotional intelligence.
My favourite colour for the Vulpamancers is probably red but blue is very close 2nd
Everybody gangsta intil someone lets the wildmutts out
Hoo! Hoo hoo hoo!
Great point!
I literally love this idea for a video, and it's executed so well.

I think your a red vulpamancer person. It would fit your color scheme.
Isnt wildmut a sample of a true unaltered vulpamancer where as the majority of them encountered are clearly mutanted in some form?
I think you like orange the best. As everyone should.

Petrosapian(DNA obtain by Tetrax hence diamondhead reseambles him so well), Ectonurites(not common but Z"Skyar" tampering with the Omnitrix within made him part of the playlist of ten to get out sooner),
Then Arburian Pelorotas were added cause their planet was destroyed thus the omnitrix preserved/activated Cannonbolt.

Always thought it was because ben has a human mind
I mean i know that he can just turn into greymatter and become super inteligent and what ever
But hes not as smart an actual galvan, and he sometimes doesn't know what hes talking about
Same thing goes for upgrade
Ben's human mind makes him weaker, normaly a member of its species is capable of learning to build anything he upgrades
And in wildmut's case hes human mind makes the vulpimancer smarter
I would say they are the bare minimum of intelligence and sapience and that's why the watch allows it as a transformation
They're probably smarter then any wild animal they're just too agressive to let that shine

@@OlliepopVT you as well! Please, take whatever time you need to relax and destress! You more than deserve it! ☺
I would absolutely have wildmutt on my own omnitrix
This was quite helpful, I've been wondering that for a while
Smart bag
I feel like one thing to note is that Ben's mouth as Wildmut is shaped different than the other Vulpemancers, which have a radial layout in the center of their face while ben's has a has wimilar to a human's. Also, emotional intelligence doesn't feel accurate to any of what you're talking about here, emotional awareness seems way more accurate
one potential explanation for the different mouth is that they're all ones that evolved in the null void

if the omnitrix variants are able to translate fish they might be able to translate vulpimancer linguistics owing to the slit's that look like gill slit's one would find on sharks and other fish though i hope that wildmutt's dna donor was not yet another plumber prisoner or space prisoner like a third of the omnitrix appears to be.
I like to think of it that Vulpamancers are basically equivalent to the average intelligence, they just don't have a body that biologically allows it to shown the same ways. They're like if you grabbed a dog and then gave it human intelligence, it can't really do anything to truly show that, but it doesn't mean it doesn't HAVE it
Maybe they tend to live underground because they lack eyes
Nullvoids Red Vulpimancers are my favorite, then Blue ones and lastly Orange ones are my least favorite cause they are so basic and boring. As for what comic book type characters I like the most, it's antiheroes grounded in reality but I also like supervillains cause a big part of me *wants* the bad guys to win, it makes a story more interesting and makes the bad guys more credible threats, I sympathize Garou
Hope you've had a good day
Hope you did too, Tyler!
Ok I got a question for you
If Ben becomes an alien that has eyes that can see things that aren't perceivable to our human eyes and then ben transforms back would ben be able to remember what the color looked like?
Yes! We know that Eye Guy's eyes function differently to that of humans but he can still see fine and Ben remembers what he saw once he turns back to normal
Same question as "Is it animal abuse to ban Prestonians from Primark?"
If possible I would love a video on your thoughts on the concepts of ultimates
I actually did a video on that a while back!
actualy wildmutt guills are actualy infrared heat detectors
How about a video on the Anodite?
I could do one at some point!
Feral.
It's clearly potrayed that they are akin to dogs
What if Wildmutt also Escaped The Omnitrix ?
Very useful for my research bc one of my Ben 10 OCs is half vulpumancer, and yeah, he is very emotionally intelligent (for better or for worse)
This video made me think of how the thin line between sapience of some species in other scifi e.g. they're only sapient if four of them link telepathically, only one gender is sapient and the other are not, etc..
Makes me wonder how such beings would register in the Omnitrix's database.

Damn it Spamton!
I thought that wildmutt did have thumbs qs it was shown on many occasions to be able to grab and swing off of things and stuff
I did a double take at the mention of blue tetrimands, seems there are things I've forgotten lol, the wiki mentions brown too but i haven't seen any example of that
I don't remember a brown Tetramand but I wouldn't be surprised!
Do muroids cause someone who worked on the show said that a muroid transformation is possible I mean if I had an omnitrix I’d want to turn into a muroid
I like blue
Ah wild mutt my favourite alien mainly because of how unique he is and i like dogs and to the people who thing wild mutt is a cat nah you deserve these hands lol
@kirigiri-kirin what if you were to have your own omnitrix, but you used different aliens from other franchises? What would be your top ten?
Hmmmm..
Xenomorph Queen
Pacific Rim Kaiju
The lizard dudes from Halo (Their names are escaping me rn)
Cthulu/Great Old One
The Bigfoot alien from the movie "Bigfoot"
Cloverfield monster
Yautja
Cursed Spirit (JJK)
Titan (AOT)
And, uh... The prawn dudes from District 9
Some of those aren't aliens but eh, those were the first 10 I could think of lol
I knew that Vulpimancers as a species were high enough on the intellectual chain to qualify as an eligible species going into this video, but not how much so.
Looking at Ben 10 with Spec Evo knowledge is peak
I'm glad you enjoy the content!
Hay I got in one
I like your taste in music
Thank you! I don't hear that very often lol
The jujitsu kasien op in the background
Yes!!! One of my favourite songs rn
