Omg thank you for this! Camel spins are literally so hard and I have a decent camel spin, like I get 7-8 revolutions but I learned so much from this!! Tysm ❤
What is the reason behind a slightly bent skating leg ? I don’t know if its strength or technique mistake but even when my camel spin is correctly centered, my skating leg is not straight 😭😭😭
There could be a lot of reasons! A majority of the time it is strength related. The more you work on the spin the less it will happen because of muscle memory and building strength as you work on it. Sometimes it can be a blade alignment issue, rocker issue, or skate size issue. It's hard to say without seeing the spin but if your skating leg is bent while in the spin (and the spin is centered) you may be compensating because your rocker is further back than it normally should be, blade is the wrong size, or skates are too big. I would try seeing if you can think about flexing your foot which will naturally straighten your leg or try spinning closer to your toe pick without hitting it. Hopefully that helps!

I don't understand, isn't it cold to be dressed on the ice like that?
when you first get on the ice it’s cold but after a few minutes of doing jumps and spins you get super hot and may even sweat😅😭
@@SoleaSmith You don't feel tempted to layer in tights?
