Love this video! So helpful. Ironically, this afternoon I took one of my older quilts out to put on a rack in the living room. I made it in 1995, with a comment “first mitered border”! It’s been so long, I’ll need this video to do it again! Thank you, Cindi et al.....
Thank you for the demo! Have not done a miter in awhile. Great refresher! My BF told me about your videos. So I started watching you girls. Love! Love! Giggles and info! Haven't noticed your so called loudness! HA! HA! HA! HAVE GREAT DAY! From Southwest Ks. 🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻
Thank you once more Cindi. I have planned mitered borders for my Navaho Rose quilt! I will save this one for when I get that far - hope You Tube lasts that long - LOL!
@@TheFabricPatch She is willing but I need blood tests, bone density done, IV and other meds for my back, just a mess - not aging gracefully and the Bone Specialist was amazed at my history and how much height I lost!! I have been thinking how to get lower to the machine and better magnification so I can see what I am trying to stitch though. Long road ahead but I will get there. Sis will be standing by😂🐾🐾💕
What a wonderful demonstration. I have never tried it but I may have the courage to do so now! I’m a little confused on the math but I think I will try something small and cut lots of extra until I figure it out. Question : if you’re doing more than one mitered border for the same quilt do you sew your strips together first? Or do it one at a time? Thanks so much for your help, love your videos
I thought about this video last night when I wasn’t sleeping! On the “regular” border video, we took great pains to make sure everything was square, and cutting the borders according to the larger measurement. For mitered borders, does finding the middle of each (quilt top and border piece) suffice, or should we be sure our quilt top is squared up? Hope this question makes sense! Thanks!
No the opposite. I think we have a really old you tube video that shows the scallop technique... maybe. If not we will redo it. It’s an old fashioned technique.
How would you miter childs animals with alphabet in a row not scattered. I've tried many ways. Cannot get alphabet to line up without wasting at least 3/4 yd. Still doesnt look right.
I get smarter and more confident ever week just by watching your videos! 😁 Thank you for sharing your knowledge! 💟

I love the way you did that whole demo without ever saying the scary words "Y-seam" or "inset seam"! 😃💖
Lol. That’s right!

Haven't ever mitered a quilt. But might now that I can follow your tutorial. Thanks.
Thank you so much for this video. I am a bit of a coward, but you give me hope that I can do these things.
You can!
Another very helpful video with clear instructions. Than you!
Totally understand it. I don’t think you can watch mitered borders tutorials too many times lol
Great job. I will add this video to my list of resources. Thank you.
Nice tutorial/demo. Thank you! 😊
Awesome, thank you so much ❤️😀

Thank you! You can do it either way. I think it’s easier to sew them together, but you have to be exact or you’ll get a wavy border.
Great interview!!!

Good afternoon 😊☺✨
Did you decide the size of the inner panel based on the size of the arches in that first border?

I can’t figure this out. It never turns out correct.
