I love Jeanne Robertson. I love her husband Left Brain, Dr Jerry Robertson. I literally watched the first Jeanne Robertson video of my life yesterday evening, and this morning when I was reading about her, I found out that she died a little over 5 months ago. My heart goes out to her son and grandsons and sister and nieces and nephews, all her family, and all of us who instantly adored her.
I used to love to talk about anything with my youngest daughter. One evening while walking to the store i pointed out the moon overhead and told her it was full. Well, she looked at it very carefully and asked "well, what did it eat?"
Thats so cute. When my son was abt 4yo, he was playing outside at dusk and I yelled out the door yo him and told him it was time to come inside because it was dark. His reply, "But momma, its only blue dark, its not black dark yet."
When my baby brother was 5 he was in the car looking out the window said, "the tars (yes, he said tars) are girls." Our aunt asked him how he knew that stars were girls and he said, "because they are winking at me."
I just discovered this wonderful lady’s videos the other day. I was thinking I would 💕love to go see her speak one day. Then, I found out she had passed. (Bowed head.) I am sad 😢 to know about her too late. She is such a treasure; may she Rest in Peace 🕊.
I went to go see Jeanne a couple weeks ago in Montgomery! She was amazing! I’m 19, so definitely the younger side of the audience but she was super funny and seems like such a fun person to be around 😂

Anitra Duke my daughter and granddaughter go through infusions also, for gastroparesis. It’s challenging but faith gets them through. May God bless and comfort you!
I am 66 going on 5 My honesty unfortunately isn’t usually regarded as amusing for some darned reason. Clearly only true 5 year olds can get away with honesty bcuz for some reason my honesty tends to piss people off. 😏 My only explanation for my blatant honesty is that I am good at stating the obvious.
but with 5 year olds that are convinced to be that being crowned Miss America is the highest goal they will achieve is totally wrong and it's not even funny. Please teach them to go to college and get a higher education that beauty is not going to get them everywhere. That will only get you so far in life. I like to end my day with a bit of humor before my prayer. Being a southern lady myself, I can identify with so many of Mrs. Robertson's adventures. Sometimes I think that we must be kin folks. I love her humor, class and willingness to share her talents.
At age 5 my daughters little turtle died. We had to have a funeral of course. In Speedy's little shoe box, we put in some food, his little palm tree and his sunning rock. As we laid the little box into the ground she said "We got to say a prayer too". Since it was her turtle we told her she needed to say it. We bowed our heads and she began "Jesus little Speedy has died, he is on his way to you up there in heaven. You will like Speedy, he was a damed good little turtle! !" With that my 7 year old said "Oh yeah sis, that will get him up there!!"

I work with preschool to elementary...and their honesty is hilarious...we have the rope for our special education students but they have a hard time keeping a straight line... Jeanne is sooo funny and I love the southern charm...

I work with Kindergarters everyday at school....You are right! So funny and hits home with me. I take them at our summber camp to the fair. I put them on the ROPE and other people can't cut us off and I don't lose any in the cow section. People just look and ask us if we are in the chain game and they laugh? I alway answer "yes sir" and they are dangerous, stand back!
