Funny story about how I found out the twist in Sixth Sense: There's a song that's literally called Jizz in My Pants and at one point, the lyrics go "When Bruce Willis was dad at the end of Sixth Sense, I jizzed in my pants." So that was how I found out. My brother apparently just knew the twist of "he was dead all along" going into it, so when he watched it, he thought it was the kid, so Bruce Willis turning about to dead all along actually surprised him.
The first time I watched this movie was on a bus on the way back to my school after an overnight field trip in middle school. It was like 12 in the morning and everyone in the bus was scared shitless. My friend and I were so scared we were literally I'm each other's arms freaking out. What an absolutely incredible piece of media from an incredible director.
saw this as a kid it messed me up to the extent of having a reoccurring nightmare of a scene that didn't even happen. watched it tonight for first time since then. i screamed at the hand under the pantry door part and also thought those shapes were shining light through window were made by the aliens... until I watched this xD
My nana used to always call me “the girl from signs” because I always left out cups of water and if I never drink it all in 24hrs I wouldn’t drink it and get a new cup
Signs always gives me that sense of scaring me even though I know it’s all dumb. It’s a testament to M. Nights filmmaking that this movie still gets to me after decades.
The “Houdini peed” info from Chris is the BEST!! I love it and I never noticed it! It’s my new “did you know when Aragorn kicked the helmet, he actually broke his toe”
Fun fact: My mom figured out the plot twist of the Sixth Sense HALFWAY through the film. She burst into tears and ran out of the theatre. My dad chased after her and was like- “What’s wrong?” and she was desperately trying to explain it to him through her tears.
"We're gonna enjoy this meal so enjoy it!" and "I want a cheeseburger with bacon, extra bacon." are the two things my sister and I quote all the time! xD
One of my favorite all time. I always notice new things when I watch the film. The last time that I watched, I noticed in the alien/garage scene that everything in the background casted a shadow except for the alien. Right now with the movie paused, I just noticed something that made me beyond fucking excited. Everytime there is an encounter with an alien at night, the cricket noise in the background stops completely with nothing but silence. You can really notice when they are boarding up the windows, Graham looks through the window outside and his eyes make it clear that he can see them coming out of the corn field towards the house. The crickets all at once stop. It's badass!!!
now that i got yalls attention: ay yo also u boys should watch the duff its like a mediocre f the prom with bella thorne, plus robbie amell trying to play a 17 year old boy
The little girl knows the aliens weakness from like the beginning, that's why she asked for a glass of water when there was a monster (alien) out side of her room, there's a bunch of lines like this in the movie the more you watch the more you pick up on it. It's a great movie.
Well she doesn’t actually “know” she just happens to leave water around because it was always meant to be. Just like how the wife said “tell Meryl to swing away”, without anyone knowing what she was referring to.
When I learned that everyone hated Signs, I kinda laughed since my AP English teacher loved it. Like he even told us that he believed the little girl was an angel and she was like purifying water the whole movie and leaving it around to protect people and that's why the aliens were defeated with water.
this commentary is so good, and I come back to this video so often that I'm finally making my first purchase from you guys. Love the breathless laughs, but also the appreciation for the movies you watch. Keep making great videos :)
We watched this in school when I was 13 and it definitely frightened me, but it was more than just jumpy or spooky it was such a visceral experience of character and cinematography making everything so much more intense and now I absolutely love this film.
Great point about jump scares. I love spooky stuff but they are in fact the laugh track of horror movies. I end up shying away from most horror films because I rarely feel scared. Just momentarily startled and irritated over and over.
My family loves using “move children VAMANOS, I’m insane with anger, and the whole female Scandinavian olympian thing. I first watched this movie when I was 3~4(I was just sorta in the room not really intended to see it), and I managed to freaking the ever loving shit outa my family! What they didn’t realize is that, while I may not have understood the plot, I could perfectly mimic the alien noise. Sooo later that night after I worked the kinks out of my impression I went around the house using it. Little did I know what the noise actually meant, and just how much it scared my family when out of the blue they hear the scary noise behind them. [and yes, I have kept practicing to make it even better today] TL,DR: scared the poo out of my family by mimicking the alien noise at age 3
Something funny: when this movie came out, I was living in Carazinho, a neighbor city to Passo Fundo. It was on the local news for a time that the city was mentioned in a famous movie at the time. As of this comment, there was UFO sightings in Carazinho about ten years ago, and I'm now living in Passo Fundo (no more sightings, as far as I'm aware though).
This has been one of my favorite films since the first time I saw in the theater when I was 15. It had always stuck out to me as profound and powerful in so many ways, and even though I’m an atheist (more agnostic, tbh), I’ve found myself in the position of defending it surprisingly often over the years. I have never understood the criticisms people hurl at it, and there are great counterpoints to pretty much every nitpick I’ve ever heard about it. So it has made me SO elated to watch these guys excitedly gush about it and recognize its excellence. I’ve been on a Pretty Much It binge for the last few days, and it brings me such joy to see them experience the level of joy I get from watching the same films! Every film commentary I watch is so wholesome and never fails to brighten my day.
I’m not a huge fan of this film or M Night’s work typically but I love this track because I love hearing people gush about the things they like and why it resonates so much for them. Love PMI and their positive film discussion
It's fun to hear people like things.

I had nightmares of them being at my day care. Them just standing outside slightly out of view. Idk why my parents let a 4 year old watch.
My nana used to always call me “the girl from signs” because I always left out cups of water and if I never drink it all in 24hrs I wouldn’t drink it and get a new cup
rewatching this makes me wish for more Eric and Chris Shyamalan commentaries.
Chris’ J. Jonah Jameson caught me off guard
Signs always gives me that sense of scaring me even though I know it’s all dumb. It’s a testament to M. Nights filmmaking that this movie still gets to me after decades.
Dumb? It’s only dumb to people who are already dumb and don’t understand it lol
@@kennypowers1945 damn
Wow that’s a really good Chris Stuckmann impersonation
The “Houdini peed” info from Chris is the BEST!! I love it and I never noticed it! It’s my new “did you know when Aragorn kicked the helmet, he actually broke his toe”
Fun fact: My mom figured out the plot twist of the Sixth Sense HALFWAY through the film. She burst into tears and ran out of the theatre. My dad chased after her and was like- “What’s wrong?” and she was desperately trying to explain it to him through her tears.
That's so ridiculous lmao
I love watching commetary's cause its almost like i have friends watch films with
i love the things chris points out that arent obvious, wish he was in more of these videos :)
when eric said he liked panic! at the disco and their long song titles oof me too sis
"We're gonna enjoy this meal so enjoy it!" and "I want a cheeseburger with bacon, extra bacon." are the two things my sister and I quote all the time! xD
So happy to hear other people were affected by this movie the same way I was.
I always come back to this video every few months. I love seeing you guys be passionate and enjoy movies. SO ENJOY IT! STOP CRYING!
gooooo tigers
now that i got yalls attention: ay yo also u boys should watch the duff its like a mediocre f the prom with bella thorne, plus robbie amell trying to play a 17 year old boy
It's implied she has dreams or something, and considering the religious aspects of the movie it fits pretty well.
No, it’s about Devine intervention and Mel’s character coming back to his faith, because there are no coincidences, everything happens for a reason
Chris grew up with Pretty much it
Earth = 70% Water
Aliens = 100% Dead from Water
Why'd the aliens invade Earth buck-ass naked? That's my question. Where were their spacesuits?
@@porsche911sbs Lol right? They're advanced enough to travel all the way to Earth, but not advanced enough to wear protective gear?
That sounds like a fun war of the worlds. All we need is water balloons and water guns.
@@emovampburnout6585 Or rain
This is why this movie is shit. It has a lot of great elements but the fact that water is deadly to them is maybe the dumbest thing i've ever seen.
Infinity War is the most ambitious crossover of the ye-
When I learned that everyone hated Signs, I kinda laughed since my AP English teacher loved it. Like he even told us that he believed the little girl was an angel and she was like purifying water the whole movie and leaving it around to protect people and that's why the aliens were defeated with water.
Who hates signs?
That's quite insightful...never thought of Bo that way. So many layers to this film.
It’s nice to see stuckmann having fun, even if it isn’t on his own channel. We need this chris back
this commentary is so good, and I come back to this video so often that I'm finally making my first purchase from you guys. Love the breathless laughs, but also the appreciation for the movies you watch. Keep making great videos :)
amazing! hope you enjoy the full track, kelsey!!!
Best crossover
Just watched this movie for the first time in years. And had to come back and watch this. Both are phenomenal.
One of the songs needs to be "Go Tigers!"
I love this movie so much. The music especially
I DIDN’T BELIEVE THE TITLE, MY BODY IS READY
We watched this in school when I was 13 and it definitely frightened me, but it was more than just jumpy or spooky it was such a visceral experience of character and cinematography making everything so much more intense and now I absolutely love this film.
OH MY GOD. I NEVER KNEW I NEEDED THIS
Great point about jump scares.
[and yes, I have kept practicing to make it even better today]
TL,DR: scared the poo out of my family by mimicking the alien noise at age 3
"That's my most anticipated movie... ever"
Damn. I'm sorry that Glass was so goddamn bad...
Wow I love this guys energy and passion! I'm glad Stuckmann tweeted this out.
If Eric loves Signs, I think he’d really like midnight mass
loved it!
Plz do a commentary to spy kids 3 and 4 plz do it for the love of god
Aky Morales he's actually done a commentary for both of them. If you scroll down far enough on his patreon
Tracey Theseira I meant spy kids game over and the new spy kids with Jessica alba
Aky Morales yes I know, thats the movies I'm talking about too. He's done them
He should also do the agent Cody banks movies
Aky Morales "Plz" learn to fucking spell.
5 years later I still watch this video religiously
CHRIS STUCKMANN!!!!!
Literally one of my fav movies and fav directors and i never realised that line about the doctor
I *LOVE* that there are two others out there that love this movie as much as I do. In my top 10 of all time
12:03 I never knew that's where that gif came from.
The "Don't Splash" guy from the Olsen twins movies is working with the aliens. Splashing water would kill them screenshot this post
holy shit
why am i just now seeing this god like video? one of my all time favorite movies by far. amazing commentary as always as well.
I’m not a huge fan of this film or M Night’s work typically but I love this track because I love hearing people gush about the things they like and why it resonates so much for them. Love PMI and their positive film discussion
The children in the movie are great. They are paired perfectly
You guys are wayyyyyyy to funny
too*
I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one that sees this film as brilliant. And it's my favorite movie
