Need these garage sales like this in San Diego
A sale like that is a movie lover's dream! I would have spent at least an hour digging through those stacks. Just had a sale myself last weekend, only had a handful of people even look at the movies. Sold an 18-gallon tote of DVDs at the end of the sale for $5. It has become very niche with streaming.
Also, Nuka is named after Fallout?
I spent almost an hour the first time I was there! And yes! Nuka is short for Nuka-Cola 🥰
Just curious, was that a store owner who was selling the DVDs? I can't imagine anyone personally collecting that much DVD.
@@Chicago48 nope, actual personal collection. Most had thrift store stickers on them still! Like from Goodwill, Salvation Army, etc.

I have a JFJ Easy Pro disc repair machine so it'll only pertain to those with the machine, but if people still want me to do a video on it, I can in the future.

As a general question, May I ask how you ship? I assume media? Do you sell with free shipping or charge shipping? It kills me seeing listings for DVDs at like $3.99 free shipping. Even at free COG that seems to be selling at a loss.
I also buy dvd collections and try to stay around $.12 each co side ring how many may be multi discs and incomplete or just missing disks altogether

@@thepickinggilla I have about 4000 to go through. Big look outs. Almost anything PBS (usually were a subscription type deal so not available OTC) and if you find war documentaries or anything Ken Burns. Just something I learned doing all this.

I would if I could remember what DVDs they were! This was very long ago and all these have sold except maybe a couple low value ones.

where do you get your padded mailers from. and free boxes. can you see the scratches on the dvd's and Cd's.
My bubble mailers I get from eBay, the free boxes I get from around town and my old work. I also get free boxes from USPS for other things. If I repair the discs, then no you normally can't see any scratches.

Please don’t listen to these people DVDs are gone. They’re over with your gas your time inflation try your best to figure out how to buy a nice painting, jewelry something please go for a 50 Cent. At Any garage sale in theworld if you had $1 million I could buy you 10 million DVDs anywhere and go for about a quarter each anywhere in the United States yes some DVDs but it’s a monopoly on eBay. There’s 100 different.
Quick question, the individual movies were about $.20 apiece. What would the individual amount of the movies have to be for you to decide that you WOULD NOT do that again? Love watching your videos!
Honestly, any much higher than what I paid for these, I probably wouldn't do. I would have to get them for around the same price.

How do you store your DVDs once you list them?
I have them all in totes or shelves. Alphabetical order helps find them as well!

I donate my extras to our local Humane Society thrift store, but these extra DVDs were actually given away locally for free because I didn't want to haul them lol
You could’ve put similar kinds in lots to sell on eBay instead of giving them away… the ones that didn’t seem worth much alone…just a thought. 👍

But the movie collector I am with 4000 plus of my own collection. I've ran out of room. Some are Boxed up at the moment. I pit them in abc order too but I won't do that again until I have a room for nothing but that.😂 So when we buy a house I'll have to have a room built just for a library of books and movies. We are a bit obsessed haha.

I’m sorry I spotted this too late she’s getting high on her cheese whiz. There’s a monopoly on eBay. Some people have 1 million DVDs they put 10 different prices and they’ve got 10 different copies so if you do this, you’re gonna lose your house now if you got $100,000 and you’re doing it as a side hustle on Ebay and gold Diamond art if that’s your main business you’re fine. Some of these movies will sit a year😢 so if you can pick these up for five cents each OK maybe you’ll sell them for a buck or two but there’s no money in this get a nice gold chain for $20 and sale it for 1000. There’s over 500 garage sales each week and everybody’s area. If you’ve got 50 years experience, maybe you can venturing to DVDs as a side hustle on top of your main hustle. And yes, and I mean yes everybody buys DVDs and everybody gets burned on DVDs. It’s a rookie mistake. Please don’t make a rookie mistake. And whatever you do, don’t do it like she’s doing it make one offer get out quick in and out.😂
@@mikeallen5907 there's a ton of money in DVDs. The ones I buy also resell quick. I've never gotten burned on DVDs because I either just know about them or I've looked them up. Definitely not a rookie mistake if you know what you're looking for. A lot of these movies in the video got donated, but I kept the ones that sell decently fast. All of the DVDs I kept have sold long ago and for great profit. Not sure why you're bringing up about a million DVDs and 10 different copies, etc because that's clearly not the case here. A lot of DVDs out there are good money and they're easy money, with little to no effort in listing, shipping, etc. I've made thousands of dollars off of DVDs and media alike so I'll stand by my experience with media being one of my bread and butters.
This type of video screw the all collecting dvds ! They do the same for video games ! Everyone want to sell dvds now watching this type of video lol everyone scan prices and think they will make millions! lol … posting 1 Blu ray online for 300$ lol

Now there is almost nothing good to find ( I m talking about rare out of print movies not common tittles ) … once in a while I will find a good lot but not as before! What I mean is now cause of all this video’s on RUclips with resellers ! Everyone scan everything! Everyone know prices ! And try to make money of it ! Even goodwill do the same … they put the good once on eBay and the crap at the store ! RUclips did kill the all dvd and video game collecting

How come you didn’t subtract shipping costs ?
I charge for shipping with media so for every sale, the shipping cost is covered by the buyer. I included that price difference in the gross sales amount, I just didn't go over it in the video 🥰
