    Am I the only one who thinks that E880 has better mid range? Maybe because it has larger tweeters. E4.5 sound more natural maybe, but it's mid range is a little weak for acoustic listeners like me.

    To my ears, the Presonus are brighter and better, also better bass reproduction. Sure, i would be happy with both of them, but i don't know which ones i'd go for to be honest. Ears say Presonus, but wallet wants Edifier due to more stuff for money spent. One day i'll make up my mind, once the 1280t fall apart! :D

    Thanks to your tests ordered my first two pairs, Edifier R1280T and R1800T III. Now I am waiting for the third one, R2730DB. For their price tags, the build and audio quality is great! Thumbs up and keep doing this!

    Yes the presonus has more low end, and most will focus on that. Mids and highs so much better and detailed on S880

    Which one would you choose personally!?? I am literally ready to buy either one. With the presonus you can add an external DAC later on. With Edifier S880DB if you decide to add a better external DAC later on, you have a wasted internal DAC. Decisions Decisions!

    if you want the 880 with a sub there is the S350db. digital stereophony you should consider the serious sounding S350db (or better still the almost unknown S360db) it si collecting high praises...not a studio monitor but a great quality quite affordable option as a hifi for pc, playstation or TV..really worth your check it out. thanks

    • @rdolle990
      @rdolle990 2 месяца назад +1

      No, by far, the s350 is not like the s880 with a sub. I had both systems and the s350 lacks mids and has terrible highs. The S880 has very clear, open and smooth mids and highs with so much more detail. Too bad Edifier didn't put a sub out on them...

      @@rdolle990 thanks for the reply.. oooh 6 yesrs already..time flies. yes the 350 has very little highs and no sub settings .only sub vol.. tweaking the eq in the pc you can still get a good sound out of it.. i m using one in a pc and another one in a tv using optical. they are quite fine for the orice.. its time edifier lauches something similar but better.. upscale with more options and control. cheers

    Hello! It would be very interesting to hear a comparison of PreSonus Eris E4.5 vs Edifier R2000db. Thanks!

    Hi DS! I'm getting the E4.5 soon for another workstation. As I am frequently in your comments, I'd like to share that the S880DB truly shines via USB and with the output set to 192/24. This gives the sound more depth and a bigger sense of atmosphere. Not sure if you've already tried it via USB direct, but it does perform well with hi-res songs and its XMOS Processor and DSP are very capable.

      I do not have S880DB any more so I can not check that. I remember I had some issues with USB connection and could not make it work for me correctly though. I am interested in hearing what is your opinion on E4.5 when you get the chance to compare it with S880DB !

      @sleeper1023 hi am confused between the two, which one is better brother?

    • @sleeper1023
      @sleeper1023 3 года назад

      @@rockuist I only had a short stint with the Presonus for my secondary workstation as I would spend more time listening than mixing. I eventually ended up with the Edifier S3000 instead.
      Between the S880DB and the Eris 4.5, if you are going to produce music, go with the Eris.

    the personus eris have a more laid back midrange and a slightly better transition from the edifer to a more midrange at the expense of lower bass. Qualitatively the same pizzas matter of taste

    Hello. I'm thinking of buying the edifier S1000DB, which is on sale for 290$. I do not know if it's going to be worth it because I'm never going to put it at a very high volume, because of the neighbors. Still, do you think it's worth it for the clarity of sound, or better buy something cheaper if I'm never going to put it at too high a volume? many thanks for the videos you are the top!

    • @DSAUDIOreview
      @DSAUDIOreview  6 лет назад

      I think S1000DB is definetly worth 290$, I would go for it. Regarding high volume, when You get them You will start to listen on high volume for sure, trust me ;) But they still are perfectly capable when the volume is on more sane levels

      hi, many thanks for reply. the offer has finished and now again 350$ :( , i'm watch Edifier R1850DB , and I already have a 10-inch subwoofer (hype 10g2), so maybe, it's more interesting to buy these speakers that have subwoofer output. can you know any other speakers 200/300$ with sub out? thanks!
