So am I correct in saying, if I have PS3 games in "folder" format, they go in the "GAMES" folder on a FAT32 usb, and for PS3 games in ISO, they go in the "PS3ISO" folder in an exFAT or NTFS usb? Any way to have all PS3 games (folder format and ISO format) together, or is it better to have all PS3 games in either folder format or ISO?
Even after using the PS3 ISO Tools software I am left with folders and I put them in the PS3ISO folder but my PS3 doesn't detect them at all, My PS3 also shows me 2 CD's of each PS2 game which I have no idea why and none of them would work as they all error a few seconds after trying to do something once I press X on them.

@@liquid_brew2110 by just changing it the way he said in the video, I have HEN so after rebooting and enabling HEN the fan slowed down to normal
Thanks for help! But I have a question, does PS3 games played directly from USB or external HDD (NTFS) run slower or have any significant performance concern? I know for a fact that is a issue on the PS2 console but I have no idea if it is the same on PS3, Thanks again!
Not sure about what USB port the PS3 uses, but PS2 only has cutscene loading issues due to the fact it uses USB 1.1 or something
@@VegasA3 ps3 uses a better and modified USB 2.0 port that is 457 Mbps
@@SpeedyKhaledGD thanks for the info, after a bit of research with hacking the ps3 I'm pretty sure the best solution is to use the USB to install the game onto the ps3
I have webman mod installed, as well as multiman, rebug cfw, and cobra. When I run the prepntfs and exfat thing, after that, my drive still isn't detected. My drive is ntfs, and folder placement is correct, so I don't know why if isn't getting detected.
Make sure your partition is formatted as MBR, not GPT. MrMario replied to a similar issue below.
What tool would you guys use to copy these games to the internal hdd? I really can't find anything about copying the games, most people play them off the external storage. I don't have any big external hard drives to spare and want to copy the games.
Been following and watching your vids since I've decided to jailbreak my ps3. Just a question tho. Is it possible to save the PS3 Iso games on PS3 hd? Thanks!
Thank you. I'm updating my PS3 now and forgot to add the folders in my NTFS drive. I could run them but it was tedious going through menus to find them in a file explorer. Anyway this is a great guide. One question though I have WEBMAN installed if I run the WEBMAN mod as described here will it just install over the old WEBMAN? Thanks
As he said, as long as you follow what he did with your NTFS I do not see why. If you haven't solved this yet let me know I will try it for you.
As always great video sir! but I have a question, What if I like to copy and save my ps3 games on the Ps3 HDD is it possible to copy it? so that I won't need to plug my external HD/USB whenever I'll play. if not is there other way? Thank you so much.
I was asking the same thing
Thanks for thet information , what should i do when i have a decrypted Iso ? will it also work normally like the iso itself ?
Honestly amazing to be able to install PS3 in both PKG and ISO format
but which method is better?
PKG if you want installs, ISO if you want more flexibility in terms of splitting or playing from externals.
@@MrMario2011 i have 12GB Super Slim ps3, so I use ISO games from pendrive - i don't use 12GB PS3 flash.
Also can you make a tutorial on how to upgrade hard drives when you already have cfw installed like rebug?
I'm getting error codes when trying to boot my copied ps3 iso games, How come? I did the samething that you did.
me too idk what to do its only ps3 games
I m using hen and i just instaled the game and launch it
And it worked just fine
Excellent tutorial. But when i get to the playing the game part. I get a error saying failure error to start operation.
I have a CECHA01 model and everything is working great, except for PS2 games. Whenever I try to run the ISO, it says "An error occurred during the start operation (80028F18)". Any idea of what might be causing this? Thank you in advance!
I've got the same model and all my PS2 ISOs have worked for me this way, I haven't run into that error.
@@MrMario2011 Seems like loading the ISOs from mmCM directly and then starting the game from XMB works. Thanks for the awesome tutorial!
Seems like everything is working well now; the culprit appeared to be a badly ripped ISO. Made a new rip and everything is working 100%!
Hello, I have a problem, when I go to My Games, I can only see webman, but none of the other folders, idk what is wrong, thanks in advance!!
idk if its just me but i put 20 psx games on my 1tb external hdd and webman freezed my ps3 lol apparently i can just load one psx game , i hope it is just happening to me, great tutorial btw :D
This tutorial is awesome and I'm having so much fun watching your videos. The one that I was concern here is that basically you have to plug in your usb drive with ISO all the time while playing, am I right?
Only if the ISO is on the USB drive itself.
So if we were to transfer the iso to the console itself where would we put it
@@lameduck7569 Did you find an answer because i want to know aswell
@@Adam-bz7hi I believe you would just move the PS3 iso files into the internal memory hdd0 and into the PS3ISO folder, but the internet can probably help if you look up running games through internal PS3 storage
@@Sairiui thanks for answering but yeah i figured it was thatshortly after commenting
Awesome! Thanks so much.
Your videos are 💯
When making the ISO folders, does the storage device have to be completely empty, or can it already have files on it? For some reason, my isos and my package files aren't showing up on my exfat or ntsf.
Yessss, i have no idea why :(........ it was working fine and i could actually play but then when i tried to put in the usb it just wouldnt load for some reason..... got any fix for it ??
@@aadisankararun8633 he's not going to answer, so save your breath. He's one of those types of retro fans. ETA prime was the same way.
@@kjmullinz hi, bro if you still haven't got a fix for that, i suggest you use multiman.
Excellent thank you i had abit of a problem the screen would go black. So i had to switch off the ps3 when i pressed x on prepISO. So what i did was refreshed webman games and xmb. Then enabled dev for some reason prepISO kept making the screen black. My ps3 is the very first ps3 fat European model
Am I able to copy them on my hdd and not launch them with the USB flash? Plz answer
HI Mr Mario, as always great vids. I have a question, i'm encountering an error when loading psp games, its asking me to login to PSN network or something. Any solution on that? thanks and appreciate your tutorials. Keep it Up!
