I've test drived the EL8 this week before in Germany and the drive is super smooth, stable and at high speeds around 170 km/h not much louder than a mercedes benz E-class at that speed. We were really impressed👍
Great in-depth look at the EL8! The improvements to comfort and handling with the double chamber air suspension are really impressive. It's interesting to see how much faster the charging is compared to the older ES8, even at a high state of charge. I'm curious to see how the real-world range and consumption compare. Thanks for sharing your first impressions and the cool new software features like the Nomi GPT integration!
@@bjornnyland I guess I'm just interested in the performance of such a big battery in general. With no swap it might be indicative of what other brand cars could be capable of in the future once battery density tech improves so that 150 kWh is seen as a normal size.
Tried the exact same car today, you forgot your soda in the fridge.... haha ;). Awesome car! Skal teste audi Q6 i morgen, så får vi se hvilken bil det blir ! :)
Interesting that you need to run it on a charger that does not follow CCS 500 amps limit to achieve advertised charging speed. Will Ionity and other follow and increase the charge amps on 400 volts charging.
Did you ask about the 150kWh battery? Maybe I missed that.. Is it close or maybe they aren't quite ready for prime time. I thought i heard they were testing in China?
I love a big Estate car and I like this but the little things would kill me: forwards for down on the window switches is counter intuitive. I'd never get used to that!
Bit weird you prefer that the gps shows you % battery and not remaining range. Who wants that? You want to know the distance you have left as that is what matters. 50% battery matters not when you hammer and it then shows you 45. You want the kilometers as the % is useless as that tells you nothing about the range. And the window switch. Remember the manual windows always down away from you and up towards you. ALL the cars i have had with electric has been the same. What car did you drive where the window goes down when you pull the switch up/towards you?
Why would you buy an EV with the battery integrated in the chassis, like Tesla...? When you can buy a NIO with swap. Makes no sense. The battery will end the car without swap option.
In previous cars it's been an add-on option. I find it distracting too, but usually our brains help us filter out things eventually so I'd probably not see it after owning the vehicle for a while.
@@rune54321 I have been to China. They have concentration camps. They treat animals and people below them like crap and worship people in higher statuses. Everything is monitored by cameras. The REALLY AMAZING suspension will be on the Nio ET9!!

Looking forward for part2
Can't wait for the Nio EL8 150 kWh 1000km test with no swapping
Bad idea to not swap.

please conduct a headlight for the the new NT2 EL8, which finally has a matrix headlight

I wonder if the Chinese massage comes with a happy ending 😊
Might be time to take of the stickers from the screen haha! This is a cute Chinese habit to keep them as long as possible
1:45 best part
Btw, in my 2018 Audi A6 Allroad window switch acts the same.. So, pulling back is lifting window, pushing forward is lowering. So, nothing wrong here!
That is all VWs I ever knew??
Allso how it works in my 2 Ford’s

The 150 kWh is available in China to all NIO owners but in limited quantities.
I have noticed that the Ding Dang sounds disappeared completely
Man köper inte en elbil med batteriet integrerat i chassit - om man har minsta framsyn. Man köper med batteribytesteknik.
I liked the old Nomi voice MUCH better.
today nio stock 7.3% DOWN
I like the mature Nomi voice. I still don't like nomi overall.
The infotainment screen is quite small compared to the big screens you get e.g. in a Mercedes.

Get Halo then.
Specify without it then!
a little insight in china the third generation will be even better than this
nice car if you dont have to pay for it!
Hate Chinese cars mostly becourse of chinas political and company situation.
That's weird because it has better politics then every other country which produce vehicles.
You prefer American hegemonic politics or maybe the Germany car brands history.
Open then change your mind.
Listen less to the propaganda news. Touch grass and spend less time online. Book a flight to China, it's a beautiful country with beautiful people
