"What i do is different than comedy" - Jackie Martling
Truer words have never been spoken.

He's not wrong.
Jackie turn into the old, Chinese man from karate kid.. Wax on wax off
@ natty lee
He went from Stephen Stills to Mr Miyagi 😎
Still love him though 😉
Jackie Jokeman.
Love the jokey man.
Sternac was always one of my favs.
EXCELLENT Interview. Thank you.
This was great. I used to go to Cinnamons in Huntington, can’t believe I missed his band! I was a big fan of the Kim Strongin Band which they played there many times.
Love Jackie!! "Hheeyyyy!!!"
Really enjoyed this interview with Jackie...who I always thought was the best part of Stern.
Good for Jackie he may not have gotten rich but he always got to do comedy for the rest of his life. I’d honestly probably play small clubs than work with Howard.
Dude…he got rich.
Staying rich might be a different story, but I’m sure he’s very comfortable.
I love Jokeman.
Jackie the Joke man is Absolutely Hilarious!!😁😂🤣🔥
Love Jackie....great demeanor....
“Everything reminds me of a joke”..boy he aint kidding..🤣
the $50 Million Dollar Man is what I refer to him. That is the amount of money he lost out on making in the past 20 years and counting. He was making more money then Fred Norris, Fred makes over $5 Million a year. Even Baba Booey makes over a Million a year (and still manages to fall asleep on the job). Jackie also was making over $400,000 a year doing side gigs/selling junk WHEN he was on the Howard Stern Show. He would be lucky if he clears 20K a year now.
Awesome! Jackie is one of my favorite comedians.
Really? You need to get out more
Find a better comedian on radio. Not on stage, on the radio. You're still watching Stern clips 25 years later.

Jackie stays positive without any bitterness and goes on his way.
Sure no bitterness, he is as fake as his teeth
The man lost everything he had and it was all his fault.
What would he be "Bitter" about? He over-valued himself because he listened to the losers that he surrounded himself with and that wife of his.He really thought that his weekend gigs were packed because of HIM and he got the wrong idea that he could do it alone. He was wrong, but will never admit that.
Not bitter. Really? Jackie started trashing howard and the show a few months after he was told he couldn't come back. Couple times a year howard would read an interview of Jackie's bitterness🤣
@@drexlspivey3047 I think both Jackie and Howard shot a few spitballs at each other but they are not bad people.Who gives a shit.
You should of had Jackie play his hit song “roll out the refer”
Great find! It’s great to hear Jacky tell a bunch of great stories.
Jackie looks like Father Time
Jackie is my hero from the Stern show. I just love his whole laid back attitude to life. He is such an inspiration.
Jackie, Artie, Norm, all Libras.
Gotta direct the interview more.. especially with Jackie... he floats away like his dock.
Like his jetty board..
Anyone have a clip of when he did FLIES on the stern show ?
His hairline finally matches the Jackie puppet.
He looks bloated like the puppet too. Maybe it is the puppet and Billy's hand was edited out of his ass in post.
Jackie voice: I'm just a gentle hippy; I don't need the money!!
My favorite Jackie moments on The legendary Howard Stern Show is when Robin would do her news stories hour at the end of every show which consisted of Howard's sidekick Robin reading her 10 or so news stories and Howard giving commentary. But whenever Robin would do a sad story of someone being killed or assaulted, you would hear Jackie lauging in the background inappropriately. It was funny, see for your self here: ruclips.net/user/results?search_query=jackie+laughing+at+the+news
But they were Fred doing drops, still so funny.
Combo that with Fred/Billy West/Gilbert Gottfried and you have the best thing to ever air on terrestrial radio.
"I would like to apologize to my wife, Nancy...."
"Please. Don't make a mockery of this. I'm not trying to bring the show down."
Jackie momo is still alive? and his voice hasn't changed a bit since last time I heard him in 1980something.
Didn't read the tag and hit the play thinking it was Pat Morita.
The Lon Bronson band, they're the best players in Vegas
Jackie look like a old Chinese puerto Rican man..
Jaggie Mallow
All I hear is Howard and Robin doing the Jackie voice in the background. Hey Jackie
"eyes wide shut", still laughing!
Steak and lobsta
He took his lucky break and broke it in two
LOL. Thanks for the laugh.
Stern should be kissing this guys ass everyday for making him so funny.
Love Jackie. He always remained true to self!
Jackie was great on the Stern show. Stern was not as good without Jackie
Stern went downhill after jackie. Artie sort of picked it up and maintained, but after he left it's only gone downhill quickly
Without Artie and Jackie, Stern really isn't funny
Jackie, Billy, and Fred, was the reason I listened to Stern in the ‘90s. But damn, they gave Gary (BaBaBooey) for loving to talk; this host asked Jackie if he was the class-clown and Jackie rambles on for the next five minutes. Unbelievable. Perhaps the host had a follow up question. I bet this interview was heavily edited for time. Can you imagine Jackie being interviewed by the police?
But I still tune in to RUclips for Jackie clips while on Stern. I lmao while working in the field with my Walkman listening to jokes/bits produced by Jackie, Billy, and Fred.
But it wasn't Jackie that was funny. It was making fun of Jackie that was funny.
YEAAAAAH IM A HIPPIE
I told Stern to run for GOV,via tapes sent to Jackie for years.
Wow! He looks so different.
The thumbnail of Jackie looks like if Santa retired.🎅 😂
Is Jackie's mic not on or way too low? He's got that "far away" sound. Sounds totally different than the host's mic. Jackie sounds like he's being picked up on the host's mic.
This is why Jackie never made it: he goes into the whole Dangerfield story and doesn't mention the falling out he had with him. Further. The reason why this Camardy guy will never make it is this: he knows Jackie is full of shit and he isn't calling him out. Every asshole with a mic is a star these days.
This negativity is so funny to me...for no reason, hilarious! Annnnd Thank you!
'Hey Jack.. Did that guy in Peru even exist?'
-Tony Soprano
@James Cricket can you timestamp when he talks about it? I cant find it
@James Cricket ill try to find it and come back to this
He looks like The Dude
I begged Howard to give Jackie his Sirius show.
Who's got the Jetty... F-Timmy
Jackie waxes poetic about an entire career consisting of ripping off other people's jokes and reading them to a crowd.
I love that song he wrote on the back of the napkin. Especially the line about talent being a curse. 🤣
Yeah and he got paid for it and didn't have to work some shit job at a cash register until he died
@@merces47letifer4 Howard paid him for it. No one else would. I will say however that Stern busting on Jackie was some of the best radio ever.
@@bobwoods1302 Howard paid Jackie to make him funny. Same as Artie. Howard proved he isn't funny with the show he does now. It's horrible.
How different would the stern show be today if Jackie didn’t leave over a little money
What? No Fuck Shit Ream Blow?!
Talk about long winded
Jackie stand up is awful but he was great on the stern show.
Lol ,Jackie is fried
This poor man threw his work life away. He was the denis shrewer of my time.
Hacky the Jokeman Martling.
I’m assume you’ve been briefed??
When you talk to the president, don't look at him in his eyes because he hates that shit.
@@davidsheriff9274 him and Michael Jackson
@@thomassantino392 I actually never got that line. Michael Jackson didn't like it when people looked at him in his eyes? I never heard that.
@@davidsheriff9274 its Hackie throwing anything and seeing what sticks, "cmon thats killer shit!!!"
@@thomassantino392 he should have pulled out some of his material from star search. Fat people should get in the tub first and THEN fill it up. I was dragging an umbrella and looked like the letter Q, and let's not forget, NO KETCHUP.
Now THAT'S killer shit.
I hooked up Jackie & Fred with Stern show on CB radio 1982.I can tell you the story, but I'm the Guy who FOUND people & animals on Mars 2004.Nobody loves this Jackie interview more than me.
Huh?
Clicked to say how im not gonna watch....
I remember one, what does Oprah Winfreys lover say when it’s time to change sexual positions? How now Brown Cow. Jackie!!
So much bitterness in these comments.
26:30 Ya real smart walking away from $700,000 per year. His credentials were telling old jokes on stage. He blew it and now we have to listen to Robin's annoying BS non stop. Thanks Jackie.
Great interview. Jackie looks horrible lol. Jackie Marlow
His analogies are frequent and AWFUL
doing shows with 118 subs? yikes!
Santa Claus
Uhhh... "HEAD Writer"
But I still love the prick. Did anyone know he used to pole vault in high school?? No joke.
My comedy mind. Jackie just as delusional as ever.
Just so I’m clear, what Jackie does is much like doctors and surgeons, but it’s not comedy. What he’s doing is more than comedy. Jackie and his traveling flea market….
Jackie is an art? Maybe 5th grade art. He made no sense when he was 40 and it’s only gotten worse. Me , me , me.
Greedy nobody
One of the stupidest career moves ever
I’d rather play small comedy clubs than work with Howard honestly. Like for real.
@@willissudweeks1050 small clubs don't even want him
@@anthonygentile8968 That’s not true he does dates. He also makes a lot on cameo.
