So I furthered my search and decided on The TEFL Academy. I found a review (wasn't from you😔), but it was helpful. Went ahead and signed up. But, if you are familiar with anything about the course, pros or cons, of course I'd appreciate a heads up! Thank you for your content!

The quality of ITA vs The TEFL Academy is very different, especially the course experience, quality of assignments and job search assistance. However, it all depends on where you want to teach - some countries aren't as picky as others.
Hello! Thank you for all of this helpful information! As a teacher of 4 years with both a Bachelors and Masters of Teaching in Special and General Education, do you think a TEFL certification is still required to teach abroad?
If you want to teach in international schools, no. If you want to teach ESL I highly recommend getting one because you will learn certain methods to teach ESL specifically that are not covered in general Ed. degrees.
Hey dear, I am a dental surgeon but never practiced as I opted for sitting for administrative exam in my country because of I studied exhaustively all social science subjects and English language to international diplomacy levels. But I now want to move abroad as digital nomad freelancer or in different dynamic working capacity. English teaching is not my preference yet I could do that as my last option. Please guide me, which is more lucrative in 38 yrs of age, freelancing or English teaching??
If you are non-native I would add getting a certificate of your English level like IELTS, TOEFL or Cambridge based on what’s accepted in the countries where you want to teach. Some of the more competitive countries look for teaching licenses or degrees in English, it all depends on where you want to teach.

Hi Jaime .. For someone who’s interested in teaching abroad especially in Spain .. Which is required Academic or General IELTS ?
Some European English language schools require a C1 or C2 certificate. It doesn’t usually matter general vs academic but the level is important.

If teaching isn’t your passion, I don’t recommend it. It’s a challenging job that requires that you love what you do.
