Thanks so much for bringing us a more challenging design. I absolutely love it! I hope you continue to show us intermediate - advanced blocks alongside the easier ones. Honestly, using triangle and flying geese papers has really leveled me up and I'm looking for more challenges. Too much Christmas prep this week, but next week I'm on it!
I watched this and then downloaded the pattern, because I just had to make this. Saw how many hst it needed and thought, tablerunner. Yup. 🙃🙂 Thank you all and Merry Christmas
Great tutorial Kimberly! You cut and piece with such precision! And those fabrics are perfect for this pattern. BUT, even with triangle paper, this one is just plain scary! Mine would never match up, I’m sure. I love how they just all line up so perfectly! This is so pretty. But it might be fun to try one just to say I did it. And if it worked, I would try 3 or 4 to make a table runner. That’s a lot of triangle paper even for one block! Thanks for the challenge, Kimberly! You are so awesome!
Can’t wait to start this Kimberly… that star is so beautiful. I like smaller projects for table toppers and this is a Bobby Dazzler 💎! Thank you for this video. My inspiration comes from so many of your ideas. ❤️Hugs 🥰 Suzanne
I really love this quilt. There are plenty of easy tutorials out there, so it's nice to see something more challenging. I don't think I'd attempt this wihout the triangle papers.
Thanks for this quilt pattern, It's a beautiful one! The first thing I thought of was how perfect it would be for a masculine quilt with the right fabric selection. I have used triangle paper, but not often. Those 1 1/4" squares are really making the paper look very appealing.😅
Beautiful block, and I love using triangle papers so it's a win-win for me! Great demo and tips, Kimberly. I see the Black Diamonds quilt on the right side of set. I still have it in my que to make also--love it too! Merry Christmas ❤
Great block with a bit more complexity, thanks Kimberley. How about some Half Rectangle Triangle blocks as there isn’t much out there. Push the limits a bit more! Happy Christmas
Thank you so much for sharing this pattern. I will be trying this once I have purchased your papers in the new year. Lori Holt and Tula Pink's are fabrics for me. Can't wait to have a go. ❤
Kimberly, thank you for sharing your tips and demonstrating how to make this block. I liked seeing it done in different fabric lines and colors, too. I would like to wish you, your family, and your fabulous FQS team a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year ❤🎄
Love it! Thanks for throwing this one out there before we head into 2024, though I won't start it this year. I have lots from the Botanica 2020 and Downton Abby lines that I've been stubborn to cut into which would look nice with this pattern. Thanks!
I believe the triangles on a roll makes a difficult looking block a lot easier to make! I'm currently doing a Bonnie Hunter mystery quilt. The very first week, I was making a TON of half square triangles. The triangles on a roll made it so much faster! She included templates for tearaway blocks for the other three blocks, but I wanted to learn to use the tools she suggested to use to make them. So far, so good! But I think I like t his block, especially after seeing the whole quilt! I'm sold on the triangle papers!
Hi Kimberly, wow that is an awesome block. I wonder love to make it but my machine eats small hst i have tried different ways to sew them nothing i have tried works. Thanks for sharing. I hope that you, your family and your staff have a wonderful blessed holiday season. Thanks for sharing
I would love to see a video on cutting your fabric pieces larger and then cutting them down to the perfect size. I would like to be able to do this no matter what I am working on. Please consider doing a video like this. Thank you.
Love it! Take care with the HST's and double checking the layout and it will go together nicely! I love 2 and 3 color quilts because they're so graphic, so might give this a whirl with some beautiful Thatched fabric I have. Thanks for all your tutorials, love the inspiration and tips!
Really nice tutorial. This block isn't for me, but if I did want to do it, I know with the triangle papers, it would be doable. Very beautiful, though.
I'm so thrilled you presented a more challenging design. I love this and I already have an excellent fabric candidate - Bleu de France. Can't wait to make a start! I so appreciate using the triangle papers, too. I use them every chance I get - the square in a square and economy too. Just finished a log cabin quilt using the papers. It's really awesome and I'm hand quilting it. Keep those harder patterns coming in 2024 please.
As always, great great tutorial! Especially with the triangle papers. The quilt block is gorgeous and my 3024 to do list. And happy holidays to you , your staff and family . Keep on rocking
I love the look of this quilt. Thanks for showing examples using other fabrics. I will definitely be adding this to my list of quilts to do. I will be using triangle paper for it though. Thanks for the great free pattern and video tutorial. I appreciate it,
I love it and will definitely give those triangle papers a try. I do have a question about the ironing open seams trends. In the past, we ironed to one side to avoid bearding from our batting coming through the seams like a cheap polyester comforter. Is this something we no longer need to be concerned about?
Thank you for showing a pattern for a more advanced block! Love it.....would love to see more of the advanced blocks in the future!!!
Love this block. Thanks for showing it in other fabric lines.

Thanks for the free pattern. You've convinced me to try the triangles on a roll.
Beautiful block. Thought of blue and white when I saw this. Or maybe red and white quilt❤
Thanks it's always great to see something different! Love that pattern and the fabrics!
Pretty block.
This is a really nice challenge ❤ thank you Kimberly et all ❤ I’ll look forward to a nice day with a tea & a quest. Much love & hugs from Scotland ❤
Wonderful tutorial on how to use the triangle paper with the traditionally written pattern. This is a beautiful block.
I watched this and then downloaded the pattern, because I just had to make this. Saw how many hst it needed and thought, tablerunner. Yup. 🙃🙂 Thank you all and Merry Christmas
BEAUTIFUL quilt! 💕💕💕 Thank you for sharing. ❄⛄🎄🎅🏼🤶🎄⛄❄
Triangle paper may just be the best invention EVER! I LOVE the Dwell version!❤
Love the black and white. I didn’t know that HST paper came in such odd sizes.

Lovely
This was a fun tutorial to see. I noticed she didn't starch the fabrics. For this type of block and detail wouldn't that be beneficial?
Hello Babszolla! We did starch the fabric for filming.
I love it and will definitely give those triangle papers a try. I do have a question about the ironing open seams trends. In the past, we ironed to one side to avoid bearding from our batting coming through the seams like a cheap polyester comforter. Is this something we no longer need to be concerned about?
Hello Brenda! If you use a smaller stitch length like a 1.5 the stitches will hold and your batting won't push through.
That block is amazing! Thank you for the tutorial.
What is the name of the pattern of the quilt behind you (not the one from this tutorial)?
Hello Holly! That is the Black Diamonds Quilt bit.ly/3Qp3RpC
