Yeah any washer/dryer we clean the trap thingy more often especially like you said extra fuzzy stuff. Because if you don't, at least on our old model... pump could go out! Our most often repair we had it was a DIY ad long as you could lift from corner. Had to be underneath to reach pump.( Again much older model.) Once mine arrives I'll definitely be emailing about app!! Thank you!!
Mine just stops draining when full of fuzz. Which sucks cuz then you have to manually drain a couple gallons of water before you can clean it out. So I drain and clean before it gets to that full.
Love the energy usage!! That's cool!! Does it allow you to select what time you'd like a load done? Like in.12 hours or actual time? Old model, few years old, no app, we selected how many hours (from now) we'd want the load done. As awesome for night, at work, or if you wanted warm towels at a certain time. Thanks for doing these!!!💜💖💜
I don't 100% remember, but yes, I think it gives you the option to either start your cycle at a certain number of hours into the future or end your cycle at a certain number of hours into the future. I just love putting dirty clothes in the machine at night and then waking up to clean dry clothes that I can wear again the next day. I think the app also has a "night wash" which might include automatic fresh care programmed into it.
FYI, I know that I misspelled idiosyncrasy in the text over the video, but I am not going to re-render and republish the entire video for the one misspelling. I knew I should have looked it up and confirmed the spelling.
Yeah I have tons of typos. Most don't understand what "fixing " it would entail!! I've started Googling my words..dang editor has no spell check !!🤣I've asked them many times.
FYI, the app just went through an update and the new app Home Screen looks completely different than what I show in my video. But the functions are all still there and the other pages and screens haven’t changed, yet.
Yes I believe you can connect to multiple devices. The first device is the primary one and different users can share access to the same device as long as the original user gives them permission. They app did an update for me the other day and it asked me to log in, but I didn’t remember creating a login previously and it wouldn’t reset a login with any email I tried. So I created a new login. The new login required me to have permission from the original user to share the device or I could reset it and claim control of it as the primary user.
After fixing the issue, do you know how to clear the error from the LG Thinq app? I ran a test of the app, accidentally left the door open, and received DE1 on the machine and app. I shut the door and ran the test again. The app (not the machine) still shows the error. Thanks
I am not familiar with the app behavior you are experiencing. What is the “test” of the app that you did? The only test on the app is “smart diagnosis”. I did that process with the door open and it did not result in the door open error. Have you tried completely closing the app on your phone or mobile device and then re-launching it? I’ve had to do that frequent as the app can be glitchy and get stuck opening the device and other things. There can also be a delay of the app catching up to the current state of the machine if you are in mid-cycle.
@@calstatelaalproductions2358 yes it’s the smart diagnosis that I’m talking about. Yes I shut everything down offloaded the app unplug the machine and yeah I still get error. You’re probably right that is. This is a glitchy app.
Maybe check for app updates and plus through an update of available? Some glitchy things I’ve encountered have gone away eventually with later updates. Is everything functioning fine even though the app holds the error code? Just read something online about unplugging the machine for a minute. Then plugging it in and immediately opening and closing the door six times within 12 seconds for some sort of reset. Also see another recommendation off unplug the machine, press and hold port for 5 seconds then press and hold pause/play for 5 seconds then plug the machine in as another LG reset for some machines. Not really sure what either of these does.
@@calstatelaalproductions2358 I’ve sent messages to the LG development team about this on recommendation from a chat from LG. It’s a brand new machine along with the app so I am learning how to work things. I think it’s mostly user error at this point but thank you for your responses. I guess my question is with them, why is the error still showing up with the new smart diagnosis testing when the error was corrected? Thank you ☺️
@@calstatelaalproductions2358 Thanks again for your response. Yesterday I ran a load of laundry, and after it was completed, I reran the S/D. The error is gone! It's a buggy app, for sure.
Thanks for the advice on a cycle to select when you want more water. I don’t have gym clothes or other hydrophobic fabrics to wash regularly. I do wish the app or LG gave additional information on water usage or agitation patterns programmed into various cycles.

Saludos: La compre pero, tengo muchas dudas. Necesitare un manual mas preciso. La secadora no se usarla. Con usted he aprendido algo. Gracias.

If anyone wants a new video to reflect the most recent version of the app, let me know. Happy to do an update.
@@calstatelaalproductions2358 please. At least a quick one.
Can it connect to and update it’s status to multiple phones at the same time? Or is only 1 person or 1 phone in a household able to connect to it?

App still didn't recognize it as a combo, so sad. They launched the product 6 months ago, but no software yet.
