In 1989 at the height of Boston's most violent period a super gang of aligned hoods formed in Boston's Black community called SCAT-G. They were a feared on the city streets and forced the other prominent hoods to form a counter alliance called UPS to combat SCAT-G's growing power in Boston's inner city hoods.
