... and not just the internet. I've just seen these incredible stars live at The London Palladium. (Sunday May 15 2022). They gave their all and the entire audience were bouncing off the walls. The fact that they said "messed up" instead of "f up" shows the attention they gave to these small details to make it feel authentic ❤️
Their decision to use 'messed' instead of 'f' is genius. It delivered the same impact and meaning as the original song.
Now i wonder why Bieber don't make a clean version like some singer do, this song is good but having it censored every time it played on the radio bugged me.

That kinda bugs me too so I just listen to the explicit versions of songs and not the clean ones 🤣

Yeah. 1950s music doesn't really indulge in vulgar language. There might be innuendo and lyrics that are construed and misconstrued as innuendo, but that's about it.
Had the good fortune to see Postmodern Jukebox in concert and it was one of the best shows I've ever been to. Everybody involved (musicians, singers, dancers) brought their A-game and completely blew the roof off the auditorium. Highly recommend seeing them perform live if you can.
I never knew they were a light band. I’m new to some of their stuff. I just thought these were a bunch of fans of music recreating it in various old styles. It’d be cool to see this in person as they are truly talented & do a brilliant job recreating these in the styles of generations past.

- Modern lyrics aren't as dumb and hollow as most people say and
- Everything sounds WAY better in the old days
Id argue on the lyrics bit. And we only got the same 4 lines for like the entire song.

The original is definitely better. The melody is so much weaker in this version, sounds really flat. Probably because the main vocalist has to share the melody with backing vocalist.
It's also sounds like a boring 50's song that everybody forget about
Didn't know the song. Looked the original up first so that I had a benchmark (and unexpectedly quite enjoyed it, language notwithstanding). But I'll take the fifties over most modern pop so this was a delight to behold. Thank you, sir for introducing me to a new song and instantly introducing it to me again in a whole new light! My fave part is... Yeah I can't choose!!! The beatbox solo, the flair, the wig toss lol, the musicians, background vocals, lead voice and mannerisms, color scheme... It's all so amazing. I listen to this repeat. I went and found the original, as a result of hearing this, and I must say, I prefer this version.

I have a story to share about how I first encountered this group.
My local gaming bar has trivia nights once a week, and they played the Mario tap dancing video during one of the questions. For me, it was love at first video. I checked out a few more videos and loved them as well. And two weeks ago, I went on a concert date to see these guys. It was phenomenal! Everyone who has appeared on these videos has so much incredible talent!

It's always amusing when you encounter the original playing at the grocery store or suchlike and it takes you a minute to recognize it because you've only known the PMJ version.
@@Vespuchian That's happend so many times. My brother introduced me to PMJ, before I got the internet. He would bring up songs on a memory stick so I thought they were originals written by PMJ. When I heard Burn at a friends house I thought someone else had covered it. LOL.
