In this video Fabio Basile teaches the Kata Garuma Left vs Right judo technique.
Fabio Basile is an Italian Olympic Gold Medalist having won his division at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio. This is an excerpt from his new instructional LEARNED QUICKNESS available exclusively from JudoFanatics.com.
Judo Fanatics was started by a pair of black belts (Bernardo Faria & Michael Zenga) who feel that nothing is more important than improving your Judo skills as much as possible in the least amount of time. Their aim was to create a shop for Judo Students who don’t look at Judo as a sport - but as a lifestyle.

One of the best instructional videos for a "hybrid" technique.
I like the leg drive and the kosoto-gake action.

Beautifull, if you could explain the timming of your de ashi harai/okuri ashi harai. It would be five stars.

Tecnica molto difficile da applicare in un randori o in uno shiai per la rapidità sui piedi richiesta per prendere bene sul tempo, però si può fare comunque, grazie per lo spunto

I didn't understand when exactly is the right time to do the tecnique. Have I do to do it immediately after uke has lifted his right foot?
In which sense have I got to anticipate uke's left leg? Have I got to do the tecnique before uke's left leg does what?
I'm asking because I don't see big difference between the right way to execute the tecnique shown several times and the wrong way Fabio showed at 12:25.

Looks more like a drop kosoto. Not so much "wheeling" or "shoulder" involved. Love it tho.
