Dan is far pickier about coffee than most people know, so if he drinks it then it must be good.

We were told processing for HD and 4K can now take up to 2 days for youtube to process it. Sorry the quality isn't there today...
Suppose that means you could upload in advance and schedule release
Wow thats lame.... THANKS RUclips... great vid regardless
@@jeremymcbride that's the only option moving forward
Never looked sharper Dan, lol
Time to bolster your digital footprint and expand on to other platforms i e. Rumble etc
You guys should do an S Tier Only Whiskey War!
This is a great idea. 💡
This is the best idea
Fantastic idea!
Well F my O zone
I was on my way to type that very thing!
It’s so funny because how you describe Larceny is how I describe Weller SR.
Anders Erickson is where I get most of my cocktail ideas.
Anders is excellent
Basic Elijah Craig is an A. It's such a great beginner, mixer, sipper, everything. And for 20 ish it's so good
1783?
Honestly, it’s really good that you guys are very consistent and clear about your preferred profile. It helps calibrate and contextualize your reviews which is quite useful.
For real, EW bonded is great mixer but I'm not a fan of it straight. EW1783 on the other hand, definitely a budget sipper and might go good in cocktails as well.
My only disagreement is the Larceny Barrel Proof. A barrel proof wheater that is that cheap in this market and with how good the last few batches have been, I give it an A. But I am also more of a Heaven Hill fan boy than it sounds like you two are, so perhaps I'm biased.
For me I’d add Pikesville to the A list. One of my favorite everyday ryes and one I recommend to someone that wants to start giving rye a shot.
I'm a Heaven Hill fan have several ECBP LarcenyBP and my everyday pour is the ECSB you guys hit the nail on the head with this one.
No mellow corn..?
That’s what I was going to say!! Yellow corn is one of the best HH products😂
Guys next time do a Makers Mark tier list 🥃
This was a great review/rating as always. I tried the Larceny barrel proof 522 and 922 and find them to be excellent and comparable to the ECBP offerings. Maybe the Larceny Barrel proofs will be more consistent quality
in the future. Fingers crossed.
These tier list videos are awesome. I’m sure they’re fun to make and they’re super helpful for those of us who aren’t as experienced. It lets us separate the wheat from the whatever it is you separate wheat from.
Chaff, and you're right. love the tier lists.
The recent batches of larceny BP have been fantastic and the barrel proof bernheim that I tried at you do bourbon was also really good
Great rundown guys! Very informative especially for the ones I haven’t tried yet.
If you stick to the Larceny 92 proof Sib store picks then it’s always good. Regular off-the-shelf ones are too variable.
Kudos for leaving in that hilarious tongue slip of Sean’s 😂.
Larceny B522 is amazing
Totally agree.
Got my backup. It has turned into peanut butter on the nose after some air, but I still love it
It has a hard candy type of sweetness to me. Very good!
@@FlaG8r904 caramel bomb, great viscosity
I really enjoy these tier videos. I’d love to see more of them, like for different price ranges and for ryes.
I love most Heaven Hill products, I’m going to Kentucky in the summer and look forward to hitting the distillery. Hopefully I can pick up some rare bourbons there. Wish me luck!!
Wow, I love HH BiB and so do all of my whiskey friends… different strokes. Love ECBP too though
Love the list! EC Toasted or EC 18? Would have been good to add to the list since there are mixed reviews on both.
JTS Brown BiB is my add-on bottle when I order by mail to mitigate the shipping cost. So much better than HH's low proof budget bottles.
Larceny B522 and C922 are top of my list for 2022. So damn good.
Would've loved to see you guys do the Heaven Hill classic Mellow Corn.
Great video as always, guys! What are those glasses?
ECBP is my 'splurge' option for anything Heaven Hill. My brain tells me I like regular Larceny but it could just be the marketing...I'll have to blind it against regular Maker's Mark to see if that's the case or not. Keep up the awesome content, guys!
Great video guys! I too, am not a Heaven Hill fan but wanted to see something like this for the distillery. The ONLY update would be: Larceny BP is a bit high on your list simply based on the # of good releases. It's a C (as in Care-a-mel). Also, I have tried the Parkers Curacao and it was surprisingly good (for what it was). I don't know if I would buy it at retail, but I would happily drink it.
The parkers curacao is the only parkers I've ever tried but actually didn't love it. 😕 which was surprising.
HH17 retailed at the distillery at over 400… but it is SO good. One of the best I’ve ever had.
Finally someone else mentioned it. Bought my first regular Larceny bottle and poured out because it was terrible. Decided to buy another one tried it couldn't even finish the glass. Gave the bottle to a buddy of mine.
I can still sometimes get McKenna sub $50 and I'm happy with that. Most stores around here though have it jacked up to around $70 and I definitely pass at that price. I've had a few of these now with one being a dud and the other two being pretty good. I think $50 - $60 seems pretty fair for the market these days for a pretty decent 10yr product.
Over all a good list. I do like the HH bib 7 year a little more. For it's price you're not wrong. It's $41-$48 around here.
I freaking love Dant. I basically taste no alcohol, but it makes for easy drinking. JTS and Evan Williams are great also. Nutty is my favorite bourbon note so I love heaven hill. Larceny is pretty funky to me, but I get the same thing with Makers and other wheaters. Not a big wheaten fan in general.
Minnick put out his review of the BTAC Antique series today. Between this and that...lots of envy today.
I've bought JW Dant in Wisconsin last month, not very common though, mostly at bigger liquor stores.
Nice rankings! I have a Elijah Craig small batch store pick that drinks like it’s 110 proof and has so much flavor! Went back and bought three more:)
That’s what makes whiskey/ Bourbon so great imo. I really like the HH BIb 7 year. Larceny BP I dig all of the ones I’ve tried. I have 2 EC BP I need to open and a EC 18
The last time I had Larceny it had a very "musty" flavor on my palate. I still have about half a bottle in the cabinet and haven't touched it for a LONG time!
Parkers heritage is one of my favorites only problem is I had it in a bar and I think the waitress gave me the wrong one lol... I needa try the heavy char bourbon I've had a sample of the wheat and it was good but not phenomenal like that bar pour
I could not agree more about Parker's Heritage. The only one I didn't really care for was the 2014 Wheat Whiskey; all the rest have been very solid. Favorites are definitely the Orange Curaçao and Heavy Char bourbons. I also like Larceny BP and have been fortunate to only find great tasting bottles. Where I disagree is on ECBP: I've tried four different batches from various years and not a single one grabbed me. They are all still sitting on my overflow closet shelf.
I have only tried one bottle of McKenna. Tried a couple of pours over about 6 months hoping it would get better but It so was so bad I gave it away. Not willing to gamble on another and hope I get a good bottle.
I like Heaven Hill green label. It’s affordable and easy to find here in KY. It’s much better than the white label IMO.
Yes…standard Larceny 92 proof is a drain pour. Nasty stuff.
Reluctant to try Larceny BP.
So, I have had both GTS 2020 and Heaven Hill 17 and honestly cant say witch is better. They are both fantastic! Obviously different distilleries and different proofs but both are great in there own way. Anyway, with that said I believe you need to revisit the HH17 because it is an S all day long. Thanks for the vids and content!
Heavy Char 10 year mmmm, one of my favorites of all time, haven't opened my Rye yet...... A122 is also great. HH 17 will be in my bar....don't know if I should sell my house to afford it.
Larceny BP is an A for me.
I usually tend to agree with u guys - but on the issue of larceny I have always had the opposite take. I find my barrel proof to actually be slightly less enjoyable than the $27 bottle of regular larceny. Really I was just blown away at the value of larceny, whereas for the BP version I have is nowhere nearly as good as ECBP as u mentioned.
Anyway I would like to see ya try it again and describe what u don't like about it so maybe u can ruin it for me - but I doubt it - even though u did get me on the sharpie smell comments on past videos.
Thank guys your my favorite.
I honestly really enjoy Fighting Cock especially at the 103proof. It is up there with WT101 for my favorite budget pours.
I have revisited it several times over the last few years and each time it has won out in blinds or came in second to WT101.
Also I didn’t see EW BiB, EW 1783, EC Toasted, and EC18. Those would be interesting to see where you put them.
Edit: I believe the EW white label you put up is the bib. My apologies.
ECBP is getting tough to find. And I've only seen it for $65 once. The other 6 times I've gotten a bottle it's been $100. I still love it but I'd probably drop it to an A for that price.
I like Bernheim as a base for a marinade. really nice on pork.
So good, you smoking it or what?
yall need to try of17, its amazin
My first higher proof bourbon was ECSB. I was drinking only 80 proofs at the time.
What bottom shelf bottles do you guys think are better/ your profile as opposed to even Williams BIB?
Great video fellas. Only needed come cookie & nox.
Nice job.
I've only ever owned A121 from the ECBP releases and I loved it. Sadly, I just finished it tonight.
JTS Brown is my favorite $15 bottle of whiskey. It is incredible compared to other 'budget' bourbons
That and Dant are great sippers. $10 to $13 in my neck of the woods.
@@robertlee6781 I am jealous. I have to go a state over just to get JTS Brown BiB. Always pick up a bottle or two if I am passing through.
Elijah Toasted, Evan Williams, Evan Single Barrel, etc, etc.
I bought a bottle of Larceny 2 years ago, it's still nearly at the neck, even my 22 year old son that killed a bottle of Bacardi black and gold this month hasn't touched it more than once, so definitely agree with it being an E.
The only two things i would move are EW BiB to E. Solid E with no question. Old Fitz decanters deserve a higher tier just for presentation alone, one of the greatest and most iconic glass bottles ever. Even when the liquid kinda sucks, the price of admission is justified just for the shelf art alone.
Hey guys! I was just at HH and in the you do bourbon segment they had 131 proof bernheim, and it absolutely beat the brakes off larceny for me. Cheers great video
unfortunately they bottle it at like 80 proof
@@BourbonJunkies I know it, but they said they’re considering adding it to the yearly launches, so multiple drops of cask strength of bernheim, EC, and larceny
The fact you gave the high value and easily available EW BiB a D and not at least a C makes me question your judgement..
Can yall do tier lists on some of the newer brands like High West, Blue Run, Kentucky Owl, Bardstown, and Redwood Empire? being newer to bourbon I feel like there are a million new labels and products from these types of companies, and I never know where to start or what to look for.
I've still never tried ECBP.... Think its my next buy now
Interesting as larceny small batch makes an absurdly great old fashioned.
Larceny BP is 50 to ECBP 65 so it’s cheaper and while there is batch variance the 2022s have all been great
McKenna is an A - wonder where toasted barrel goes - larceny BP is and a or b , fun video yall
It's crazy how much I agree with you guys on so many bottles and how much we disagree on Heaven Hill. I'm a Heaven Hill 🐓-rider, if you told me I could only drink one distillery's sauce for the rest of my life I'd choose them in an instant. You could even tell me no barrel proof or special releases like Parker's Heritage and I'd still do it. Let me sip on Elijah Craig Small Batch, Larceny, and Pikesville and let me use Evan Williams white label and Rittenhouse for my cocktails and I would be perfectly content. Barrel proofs would just be a cherry on top.
I cannot find ECBP in my area for less than 120 dollars…I’d love to try it but not at that price.
I'm always seeing people say that EW BiB is such a great value. I haven't liked anything with the Evan Williams label on it. I do like Larceny. And Elijah Craig is some of my favorite juice from anywhere.
Old Fitz 17 Spring release is top shelf. 🏆
all the older ones seem to be significantly better
What bottles are on their shelf. Bottom left area, and top right area. Looking at them wise. I'm into rittenhouse rye now, should have been on this list. Great value. Right now in the glass. Mint, menthol, vanilla. Great stuff for 25$
Love your channel, have to respectfully disagree on EW bottled in bond. Where I live it’s 18 bucks and I’ve always found it to be enjoyable, and cheap enough that it can be a beater whiskey if someone at my house wants to use it to mix with. I’m also a big fan of the aftertaste that hangs around for awhile. I’d say it’s a c tier at least.
Although I will admit that Old Forester 86 for 7 bucks more is definitely worth the extra money, but I like that one so much I would definitely be annoyed if I saw a house guest dumping coke into it
Could not disagree more on Larceny. Love it
mellow corn?
Heaven Hill's limited bottles are some of the best things I've ever had, but they're such a crap shoot. The Larceny BPs have been infinitely better than the ECBPs this year for me. Usually it's the opposite. Maybe I'm broken.
Wow. I can't believe how different your palates are than mine. I think Evan Williams BiB is a really good bourbon as is the HH BiB. I wonder how you feel about EW 1783. I think my palate is much more in line with Fred Minnick's than it is with either one of yours. He and I seem to be on the same page.
Yea Jason from the Mash and Drum is also more in line with that profile as well
@@BourbonJunkies You hit that on the head. Jason just did a blind with Rock Hill Farms and HH BiB and HH won pretty easily.
I am thrilled that I sold my Old Fitz 15 for $750 after hearing you trash Old Fitz decanter whiskeys. I paid $330.
McKenna is going for 70 everywhere in my area
Well we are not on the same page. I love Larceny. B at least for me. I prefer it over Weller SR and it is close with Maker's Mark (which I thought I did not like).
I tried it again recently and it had a very chemical taste for me and i love heaven hill stuff
I agree. Larceny is very solid IMO.
Clearly HH isn't the bourbon junkies palate lol. I'm like that with four roses for whatever reason.
Yea it's very hit and miss on HH
Since when did you guys start hating on EW BiB?! It’s an absolute STEAL for its price. I blinded it along with other budget bourbons like WT 101, Early Times 101, and Old Grandad Bonded, and it came in 2nd-and what came in first? Larceny! Lol 😂 Normally our palates seem pretty aligned, but clearly not the case with Heaven Hill in general based on this video!
P.S. I just picked up Larceny Barrel Proof C922 last weekend, and wow, it’s damn good! Also, Heaven Hill should absolutely receive bonus points for ACTUALLY having most of their whiskies be AVAILABLE.
What Very Old Barton is your favorite? the standard 86 proof? or the 100 proof?
Dont get them in Ohio i dont think though
86 or 100 are both really good
EW BiB is better than a D for sure. The fact we can get a readily available bottled in bond at that consistency and price point is just great. Not a sexy pick but such a good value and was my go-to budget pandemic pour. Even black label is damn good for what it is. No 1783? No EW Single Barrel? No Old Fitz anything? List seems a bit incomplete.
It was the best of
Wish the KY only heaven hill green label was still available
JTS Brown should be ranked way higher based on the Paul Newman "Hustler" connection alone.
I always count coffee as a wash. Some diuretic some water.
So like if ur trying to drink 8 cups of water a day still do that and drink as much coffee as u want 🤷♂️
JTS Brown BiB is less than $15 by me and pretty tasty.
As a bartender from the craft cocktail world, and a whiskey guy… chill tf out Dan lmao
Old Fitz 17 is S tier easily... One of the best drams I've ever had
No Evan Williams single barrel? Isn’t it usually around 9 years old and less than 30 bucks? Kinda low proof but very flavorful.
pikesville rye s tier!
Can you do a Four Roses tier list? Could include the NDPs that use their stuff!
Have you guys had the larceny A124 batch yet? If so, what do you think?
Also, you should do an ECBP A124 vs Larceny BP A124 if you guys can!
Just picked up both of these bottles today and the Larceny easily wins for me.
HH 17 is amazing.
Not a huge heaven hill fan. Usually pick up the ECPB if I see it but that's about it. Can't stand Larceny so with you on that one.
We need a four gate layout. When you go at that price it is hard know which one to pick.
we haven't had one we didn't absolutely love
Old Fitz 17 is a H I T T E R!!!! Also, has the Fable and Folly grown on you with time. I see it is on the “Shelf of Awesomeness”.
I agree with the Elijah Craig and Larceny opinions but not so much the HH BiB. ECBP has also been hit or miss over the past 2 years. Too much of an inconsistent range. Haven't had Parkers yet.
Be cool if you did one for all the ryes across brands.
I can tell my pallet is just different than both of these guys… Regular Elijah Craig completely blah got nothing for me, but LARCENY I like a lot
Where's the Mellow Corn!? 🌽
