It's so crazy how much the game has changed from watching this particular game. On the 49ers first drive, they decide to punt on a 4th and 2 or 3. If that's nowadays, the 49ers are most likely going for it. Especially if you have Young, Hearst, and Owens. If Rice hadn't torn his ACL, I think they might have won.

But noooooo Elway had to be the hero....all jokes aside, Denver was playing for Elway to get his ring. I wish it could have been against someone else but it is what it is. DAMN!

@@jeanpeupBrett Favre is an interesting case.
He still had a few pretty darn good seasons left in him (in 03 he had the most passing touchdowns while simultaneously not finishing in the top ten in pass attempts, 07 was a solid year that prevented Tom Brady from being a unanimous MVP, and in 09 he had his highest career passer rating at age 40 I think), and there were a few overlooked playoff performances, including two or three playoff games of triple digit passer rating vs top ten defenses in the 2000’s.
But the thing about Favre I notice is that the times he failed in the playoffs were more memorable to people than the times he succeeded.
A good amount of the time it feels like I see people talk about the interceptions vs the Rams in 01, Eagles in 03, Giants in 07, and Saints in 09 more than anything else he did in his career that was actually good (even more than the Super Bowl he actually won).
Not that he doesn’t deserve the criticism he receives for those interceptions and his playoff underperformances in general, but some days it feels like people fixate on the bad parts and don’t appreciate the good parts, but I guess that’s just the nature of the internet since social media became mainstream. At least that’s my experience.
