2001 Nascar Daytona Speedweeks:Dale Earnhardt's last
2001 Daytona Speedweeks coverage of all Dale Earnhardt appearances, interviews and speedweek races leading to the 2001 Daytona 500(Should be in chronological order).
All of the edits, trims, merging of clips of different qualities has made the audio in some parts off from the video and I have no way to actually enhance video quality as all of my editing is done on my cellphone so watching on a TV might not work to well, sorry in advance!(RIP Dale)

Bobby Cox loading the bases in the 10th inning for one of the best batting eyes in history against a guy who couldn't throw strikes (and was the Braves' worst pitcher on the roster) was one of the most baffling decisions ever. There was a much better chance of Avery getting a right-handed hitting Bernie Williams out than there was of him getting Boggs out.
jets were doing so good saying with pats in score only down 7 points or less for like 3,5 qrt's lol after that, jets lost it, show you how fast a team can go down just in few minutes
As a Yankee fan who was at this game and one of the worst nights of my life, (we left at 8-3 and took the subway home from Harlem….took off work next day as I was just sick), I can finally watch this and just be amazed at what the Red Sox did. And truly appreciate it. Maybe it needed to happen Yanks never recovered from this. They still haven’t. And then they tore down Yankee Stadium to make matters worse and built this new out of touch ballpark that they currently play at which is just so disconnected from everything with the exception of corporate greed. It’s a boring cold park. Yankees as an organization are trying to find themselves these days as to who they are and they’re still trying to hold onto the old Yankee ideals, but those ideals only worked when they were winning championships and they played at an historic park. Without that, they feel desperate and outdated. The Yankees have been in an identity crisis since 2004. And they’re still trying to find themselves I feel like.
I've always said the same,Yankees since '04 haven't been the same and the rivalry died before you got home that night.Nothing been the same since and then corporate greed took out the greatest stadium of all time and now even during playoffs they have the most lifeless crowds.I know I've missed a few since but haven't heard that old Yankee crowd roar since Raul Ibanez walked off over a decade ago
@@johnsnyder2340yep. Totally agree.
As a Yankees fan myself who hates admitting this, you can't help but call it what it is, the greatest comeback in professional sports history. There are many surreal things about this comeback, but for me one of the craziest things is that the Red Sox achieved this without Manny Ramirez driving in a single run. In fact, the Red Sox overcame Manny hitting into a huge double play in Game 5 that took the air out of the building. The Yankees and Red Sox haven't been the same since that loss, and there's been a different vibe to the rivalry ever since. This will never be erased, but it's also darn near impossible for this to even be "fixed" for lack of a better word. For that, the Yankees would have to go down 3-0 to the Red Sox, sweep them, then win the World Series. But even if the Yankees achieved that feat, they would still be the second team to do it, and it would be overshadowed by the fact that the 2004 Yankees had a once-in-a-lifetime closer, the best one ever, on the mound with a one run lead in Game 4, 3 outs away from advancing, and lost that game and then the rest of the series. It was an unbelievable amount of circumstances in that series that make it special.
You thought about maybe coming back to upload videos?
I always do but I'm still doing eveything off my phone which took so much work compared to using a laptop or computer. Unfortunately unlike other channels even after I edit out certain audio and commercials/ads I still get my videos taken down. Not sure what else to do after that point.Luckily my channel isn't terminated but constant blocked videos that can only play out of country now smh. You looking for more Nascar ones?If I can find some Daytona 500's or big races or eventful ones I could search them up and maybe start again and see what happens.Im not just doing random races or football games but maybe if you have specific ideas I can try again!
When you do well and you’re older they say “you’re EXPERIENCED!🙂” Harrison But if you do bad, they say “you’re old!”😮Really? When you forget things as a child they say “oh he’s just childish” but if you forget things when you are older they say “well you know… the mind is the first thing to go!” 🙄Good Grief!
"You don't fool him often" says the announcer about Manning. Then why did the Patriots often seem to fool him? lol
It's time to get it on woooooooooo
Besides Tom Brady, Adam Vinatieri was the clutch player for the Patriots.
PS1: ALSO, HEAR SR'S WORDS Of Tony Stewart's accident in this race: "IF THEY DON'T DO SOMETHING ABOUT THESE CARS, IT'S GOING TO KILL SOMEBODY".
PS: "YOU'RE GOING TO SEE SOMETHING YOU'VE NEVER SEEN ON FOX". HAUNTING WORDS.
I WILL NEVER FORGET THIS RACE. And the UNTIMELY TRAGIC PASSING OF THE MICHAEL JORDAN OF NASCAR, DALE EARNHARDT SR. Just like September 11 2001, you WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER WHAT YOU WERE DOING WHEN THESE HORRIBLE THINGS HAPPENED.
When the ref called a Penalty on Moss & company for “excessive celebrations” the refs accountability leaders should throw a flag and gone on that ref for excessive penalties! That penalty that led to the giants run back touchdown WAS TOTAL NONSENSE!!! Wonder how much he got paid to make THAT call!
lowest scoring superbowl ever with a total of 16 points
Special THANKS!!! To ALL and anyone who posted 2007 full games on RUclips. I’ve been watching ALL of them for the first time! Love it!! Even NFL+ foolishly won’t go back that far. So sad they don’t make all games from the beginning available! Wish they would!
The Patriots seemed like they came into this game a little over confident, but after winning 10 games and with the huge numbers they put up… it’s understandable. The Eagles started with the right attitude and strategy well prepared but before they even ended the game they got sloppy with overconfidence. Confidence IS important but “OVERconfidence is a killer! Like John Madden said “WHEN” you play well is the difference between great champions and others. Patriots under Brady were certainly Great Champions!
Dale Earnhardt Sr Lived only 50 years 3:12:05
Other than the colts, this is the first team that looks like an NFL real contender to the Patriots for all their games thus far in 2007. No surprise it’s Tony Dungy and Andy Reed! Especially good game for the Eagles since they were playing the Patriots at home -extra hard!
R.I.P The Intimidator <3 #forever3
No comeback for TB12 this time 😂!
What turned the tide on this game was when Brady had his stomach filled with the excessive calls against the Patriots and almost NO calls against the Colts even in the face of excessive blatant pass interference on a crucial third down. The worst thing the worthless refs could have done as they tried to help the Colts was to make Brady FURIOUS!!! The real game he won this day was not at all against the colts or manning. Brady’s REAL VICTORY AND BIGGEST WIN THIS DAY WAS AGAINST THE REFS ON THE TAKE!
The grand Turismo 4 AD no way.....oh this takes me back to happy days
Patriots lost to Miami sooo many times over the years that I’m glad they beat them TWICE this 2007 season!
It’s interesting in retrospect watching Lofton here. Lofton was on the ‘02 Giants, ‘03 Cubs, and ‘04 Yankees, that’s three straight seasons of infamous postseason heartbreak on three different teams.
This year’s Patriots team was like a team in a league of its own higher standard higher quality and higher skill than all the others. It’s like they are the pro’s and the others are college type teams, or high school in some cases.
9:55 Johnny Damon gets nailed at the plate
Jus got David ortizes autographed bat from this game 🔥
So why do the bengals even play when they don’t have their players? That’s like wasting everyone’s time! Better to just lose by forfeit! As for the Patriots letting people go, no paying more to those who deserved it, I think they made a BIG mistake dishonoring Adam Vinateri he really DID earn and deserve a BIGGER CUT and a lot more honor and respect. The Brady of today would have likely been a nobody were it not for Adam. When you mistreat those who have been good to you… expect some of that curse to come back upon you yourself! It’s just a matter of time!
Steve Young choked more times than he didn't 💯
When Moss came to the patriots everyone knew he was the kind of guy who doesn’t take any shit! Since he was both black and no nonsense and skillful… I think Brady felt the pressure to NOT screwup and he couldn’t dominate or intimidate or manipulate MOSS Like he sometimes could other receivers. On the other side of the coin… Moss knew he had a bad boy reputation and this would probably be his last REAL CHANCE to play with the highest quality quarterback EVER and really show the world he had skills! He knew THIS TIME he couldn’t screw up and blame it on someone else. End result… two high skill players totally focused and paying attention to their skills to the fullest! Playing at their highest level by choice! Feeling the pressure of living up to the skill and expectations of the other. And… it paid off!!! Highest level of professionalism I think I’ve seen consistently in football!
6:33 "Gonna see something you probably haven't ever seen on fox" Wow that is eerie.
Find it odd at the beginning shows that’s it’s all about Dale Earnhardt It’s like they knew it was his last race
2:35:45 Celebrating on Yankee soil 😊😊
It's unbelievable they celebrate the victory. As Dale is already dead. We as human beings should stop when that happens. The Waltrips were celebrating as Dale was dying. It's simply unbelievable. They should have been tending to thier owner. And I do believe that Dale was trying to slow down the rest of the pack, so that micheal and Jr would finish in 1st and 2nd. Dale's dad did the same thing for Dale years ago so that his son would finish in the money. It's simply a travesty. And a dad that wanted the best for his son. I love Dale and always will. But I think he did it on purpose for his son and his new driver. Total travesty. Dale Earnhardt 4 ever!!!
1:35:28 keep a eye on the yellow #4 of Robbie Gordon from this lap to when the wreck started that involved so many cars on the back stretch and set up the terrible end scenario that became of this race. There is no doubt that without this wreck and the bad choices made by Robbie Gordon that the end of this race would have been unbelievably competitive and nothing like the one sided hack job it turned to be. Earnhardt knowing only a dozen or less cars had damage and gave him the mindset of the race turning safe and the red flag is no doubt when Dale did something to his belts " mabey never even putting them all the way back on" resulting in his death. Schrader knew Dale was dead from the time he looked into the car . Mike knew by the time he turned into pitlane heading towards victory lane.Robbie knew his car wasn't capable of running hard up front and that's why he was waving off Tony Stewart going into the turns as he had his hands full with a fast tight car. Instead of being patient and getting to the next pit stop to free the #4 car up he recklessly stayed up there and was a wreck looking to happen every lap until it finally did
Tom Brady 's first postseason loss
youngs a hof qb huh
The cheating going on dear god
Even without all the whining about the umpire's calls, the Red Sox did just fine losing this series all by themselves with the low RISP average, crappy defense, and a bunch of errors.
had they fed the rb's they win
Thank you uploading rip to arson dude had talent
What's so tuff for me about all this is that Dale could have easily won the race so for sake of putting on a show he lost his life . He lost his life entertaining not racing
What most don't realize is that Mike knew that Dale was severely injured and fighting for his life on the cool down lap as he passes the crash scene on the exit of turn 4. Very sad situation
I love hearing Darrell waltrip call races this was back before getting your lap back if your the first car a lap was a thing.
I was at this game. It was my first Pats game. Froze my ass off. Got tickets from my aunts friend's cousin, he didnt want to sit in the cold so he asked his cousin if she knew anyone who wanted the tickets. Sat on 48 yd line 7 rows from field. Amazing!
Jon Miller (ESPN Radio): "Swing and he muscles one! Shallow center! Base hit! And here comes Damon to WIN IT!! The Red Sox are going to New York for a Game 6 and David Ortiz does it again!!" Chills. Utter chills. I was in my dorm at college wearing a grey Red Sox shirt and pj pants, when I heard that call on my laptop (missed class 2 days in a row because of the endings) I ran out of my room and was going nuts. I went to college just outside of NYC. People hated me ;).
The day I stopped watching Nascar.
As great as Super Bowl 42 was, this game would have been even better to end the season. Can you imagine Brady and Moss connecting in the 4th quarter to win the Super Bowl and seal a 19-0 season? We nearly got that, if not for the Asante drop, the helmet catch, and Plaxico alone in the endzone.
It’s actually impressive how terrible Ted Hendricks was at calling balls and strikes. Even the broadcasters couldn’t believe it 😂
I remember my papaw crying after this race finished. He's been gone a few years now but i remember the pain in his eyes that night. He even cracked a joke when told his cancer was terminal and wasn't coming out of it. Dale Sr. was his hero
2:44:24 im seeing things ive never seen before... Im wondering if there was earlier contact and Dale may of lost a tire going into 3... possibly some contact from Marlin on the back stretch? his 1/4 panel seems to be a bit dented up and no lettering on his tire... not only that... the 2 rear ends dale and gave him a little more of that fatal angle... i bet you had Rusty not been there we may of still had Dale. its insane the violence in that hit when he hits the wall you can see the rear tires jolt forward that energy was in Dale's body and thats what killed him... thrusted him foward and his helmet tweaked sideways against the steering wheel and his body just kept going forward then whipped back. 2:56:50 full speed impacts.
